Stolen artwork?

I was thumbing through ebay tonight and came across a poster being sold with this image on it.



I could swear that I saw this posted here but it's been a while and the seeming endless pages in the CoH dA group have yet to yield an answer. I figured someone here could ID the real owner. I'm pretty sure I saw other images that belong to the art collectors here as well.

Never saw the first two pieces before but you could ask Comrade Hero here on the forums since he is one of the people in that SG pic that
is still around (I also see Thor's Assassin, Turbo Ski, MsFrost, Roxstar, etc but none of them have posted here in a while)
or you could go right to the source and shoot a note to Ed (aka Juggertha) on DA since that
group pic is clearly one of his pieces... his style is pretty unmistakable.

Yep, already did but volume of complaint to eBay never hurts Drew, the Rowr artist, hasn't been dA active since 2008 it seems, but sent a note just in case.

Art theft is not fun. Only been exposed to it indirectly since i'm not an artist. But got an email from a friend(think it was someone on eu coh forum actually) who said they found me on a hentaii paysite. It was the piece Swissy had done for me, i passed it onto swissy and he wrote a rather stern email to the site and it was gone the next day

Nice work on spotting them and finding the artists so they can possibly get something done about it...

But it astounds me that they're stealing random OC arts... I'd think that canon characters would sell much better.

I just browsed this jokers store on ebay... he's got a ton of copywritten images in his poster section. Some even from other DA artists.

This is one of the reasons I love and hate DA. Too many scumbags lifting work of the site and lording ownership of it. To a lesser degree tracing/retouching an original and claiming ownership. I use DA and I browse DA...

A few words of advice:
never allow download of image(if they want it so badly then they can do a screen grab and entertain themselves with the low res capture) and use the watermark feature. Never upload a high-res version. If the piece you have done is a commish, then send the high-res file to the client. You cannot trust the people that use services like DA have your best interests in mind. Protect yourself.

I'm gonna try and see if I can track down some of the other DA artist that have items in this jackholes store.... f'n sunofa....

I've used it, as has a photographer friend. It's a 'reverse' image search, so you enter the image and it finds where on the internet the image pops up. If it's your work, and on a site you don't want, you can then contact them and/or take action.

Usually an email is enough-most places that use images without permission are counting on not getting caught amongst the sea of internet data. When they get caught, they usually back down pretty fast.

He's not only stealing from this community and DA, he's outright stealing photographs of celebrities, and pin up artists from the 60s. How the hell did he get a 3000+ approval rating...

Submitted multiple complaints to EBay, not that I expect any real action from them (no, I do NOT have a good opinion of the shysters at EBay).

Also, sent several VERY pointed questions to the seller as well.
