I suspect this move will also make it that much more UNLIKELY that we'll ever get another way to get past Anniversary badges considering one of the arguments for making them available again was to be able to also get this gladiator badge. Time will tell of course...

I've suggested this a few times, glad to see it coming.
One interesting thing is that this has actually happened quite fast - the current badge dev, Black Scorpion, was unaware that this badge was an issue with some players until it was brough up on the live video chat on March 31st.

im glad ill be able to complete my gladiator collection since my main is a villain and never could get the first anniversary badge and this is the only gladiator im missing
ive already accepted my fate on the anniversarys and very unlikely to see them

I knew the Devs didn't pay -that- much attention to the forums to begin with.
But things like this only go to show us that the Devs probably don't really pay serious attention to sections of the forums AT ALL.

Back in those heady early days of Mission Architect, I had a story arc called "The Red Badge of...WHO CARES IT'S A BADGE!!!!!!!!" but I never quite published it, because by the time I was finished there were already too many of its kind.
(Basically, you had to thwart Positron's evil scheme to crush all the badgers in the world under a mountain of badges by oh...clicking on 200 badge collections, destroying 50 badge making machines, freeing 50 captured badgers, etc.)
That blue thing running around saying "Cookies are sometimes food" is Praetorian Cookie Monster!

With the level of trust you are displaying, it will be a great opportunity to own that historical landmark. You might be able to get tolls and set yourself up for life.
To think that a comment on ustream prompted the change shows a level of naïveté that I've not seen on these forums for the 75 months I've been a subscriber to this game. Either that or I weep for the competence of some of the past/present staff at Paragon Studios. Given that I don't really believe that people at Paragon Studios are incompetent, that leaves me with a problem.
Was it on Synapse's desk and just never attended to? Perhaps. If Black Scorpion didn't get told about it, then someone failed to tell him when he took over for Synapse.
