Heya COH Peeps...

Alas this account's only good for 5 days... but thought I would come in and chat in the open, instead of passing messages through CR and DD.

Duh, this is LJ or Lady Judgement, though the character is now just Judgement. Here's a new piece to show off her new design: hope this works, my html is rusty.



And here's on of Quakester's "Star Bolt" toon. I changed my style completely from the standard blackline/colored comic look, to a full on digital paint feel...



And finally the piece I worked on today of COH's own Ultimo Girl...

Originally 4 years ago I did this for her, and I absolutely hate it now, but she says it has special meaning for her, since it's the first piece of art she ever got of her toon. I guess I can live with that, but the new one will be better...

Sorry, just wanted to clarify something. I'm only here for 5 days, but I am NOT trying to solicit anyone for a commission. If I've offered anyone art here, it's strictly on a free as a gift kind of thing, you don't have to take me up on it, if you don't want me drawing your character... I remember Bayani once saying that was a rule of his, go figure, I guess you wouldn't want to run the risk of someone getting it wrong. Free art just sucks.

Anyway mostly I just wanted to give a shout out to the people I remember here, most definitely: Christopher Robin, VexXxa, Caemgen, Darth Delicious, Battlewraith and Ironik.

Free art is always welcome! For me anyway. (Feel free to click my sig. Propellant is my current main.)
So you didn't go with the redesign from your contest here?

I don't see an image of Propellant. As for LJ, no, I went original, lol mostly cause I couldn't find an image handy of the redesign while I was drawing, so I just made it up. I'm not actually playing during these 5 days, just lurking and drawing.

AHHH Just realized I forgot to comment on Art... Love the new Judgement! Star Bolt is very cool! Great detail on Ultimo Girl!

I've seen a couple of these appear (and then quickly disappear ) on DA already and I like em all.
The Ultimo Girl piece really stands out of this crop (must all that pink) great work on her face and hair.

P.S. yeah I know what ya mean man, I hate it when free art happens, the nerve of some people to just up and
create awesome art of your characters and surprise you like... like... okay no I don't.
I can barely keep a straight face as I type this out.

I poke in on your blog a bit, was always a lurker on your DA page, at least ever since I got the piece done for Ava Adore ages and ages ago. Well one full piece and some cool sketches.

You're stuff is looking great though its amazing how much its changed/developed since then.

Wow, LJ(B) - heh - I really like the direction your new style is going. I mean, I liked your old stuff, too, but this painterly vibe is definitely unique in its look compared to the usual superhero art. Good show, old chap!

I grabbed a screenshot of someone I thought resembled LJ during deecee beta -- maybe it was actually you!

I always love your stuff!
Despite, as you've mentioned, your shift towards a bit of a different style, it still looks like YOUR stuff to me (I mean that in the best way possible)!
I love it.
The painted feel definitely goes well with your overall style, as it always had a great foundation/similarity to the old Parkinson-esk quality D&D artwork.

I need to swing over to Deviant and follow you (I rarely ever log in over there!!).

(Hope the above made some sense, haha... typing this as I'm rushing out the door!!)

He's not really on DA anymore (well aside from brief pulses when art appears then mysteriously disappears).

Parkinson? Wow that's a nice compliment, but yes, the DA account is strictly for watching friends, people who inspire me, some of the models I follow, and of course the industry pros. I am in a brief 3-6 month window where I can still post art on it before my new job starts, but rather than take down more new stuff, it will just go on my blog and website.

Though if someone here has a DA account, I will post it temporarily on there, so they can save it to their own page, and then poof it will be gone. Easier maintenance that way.

CR: I respect Bayani's reasoning, but he can get offended too if you just blatantly include him without asking. It's like Stan Lee found out you were drawing Spidey and had a hissy fit. He's a prolific collector, and I'm a free art rules breaker... ;P

Powerstream@ I do believe I owe you a piece for winning that contest, even though I won't be using the design. Send me the screen of who you want to have done...

CR@ btw working diligently on that hair tute, it's both how to construct the brush, and use it in Photoshop...

Heh, I have to stop by and say hi, you did my first piece of stealth art (where I ninja screenshots and get sekret artz done for friends without telling them ). Besides which it reminds me that I need to upload all that stuff to my gallery since its not there to be on my favs list >.>
