Server downtimes favour USA - any1 else annoyed?!

so its midnite fri nite peak time, for EU - but hey lets take it down right, cos the US is more important.

would it be that hard to wait until 6am or something in between the continents, really, I know the US is more populated than the EU but we pay our subs too, please give us some some consideration devs

funny that they dont consider any1 outside their country? sadly no isnt it


**oh cos server transfers are sooo important, everyone does them all the time - it really couldnt wait to an obscure time monday morning, oh wait they get money for it so it must be more important than us playing
major fail. oh and could they not fix the bugs that are plaguing the trials quitting etc ? nooo just the things that are affecting their income...lame

Literally walked in from work, ran to computer booted CoH up, said hi everyone on channels and all I got was bye Slaz lol, 5 seconds later disconnected.

Either my timing stinks, or the devs are watching me closely?

Hrm. I don't know how a downtime at 7:15 pm ET is favoring the US.

But you can believe what you want.

Things happen. It's not like the servers go down every Friday night every week.

what i believe is the truth - its ill considered and pointless and fixes nothing useful, as above. u should be as annoyed as i am that its happening at all given that it fixes nothing apart from their $

Re: Live Server Hotfix- 4/15/11
Please note this maintenance is happening 2 hours earlier than announced. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to bring the servers back earlier before the European evening peak.

>> hells teeth, they moved hotfix from 8-10pm uk time to 6-8pm, to save our inconveniences - well this is a good start nice one. now if u can just make it 4-6 plz

Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.

So, your upset that a company, based out of California and Texas is having server maintenance during times where they are in the office, and actually able to see what is going on?

Do you expect them to be up at midnight or later their time (and forgo their families) so that times are more equalized?

Really, I'm annoyed at the constant downtime as well, but as long as they are fixing the issues that are causing the downtime, there is nothing to scream and yell about. I can't play at my peak times, due to children being home, and other real life issues, so while your not able to play during your peak times, I'm not able to pay during my normal times.

Please keep that in mind when scream and yelling that the devs should work at the wee hours of the night their time to make sure you can play during the peak hours of your time.

If your company is partly focused on a different region of the world, they should pay attention to this aspect. There was a day once we had our own office and downtime was often done way outside peak-time of European players.

If i would be on the US server and downtime occurs (my time around 19.00), i have little to say.. it is the US server. But Defiant and Union have a (EU) behind their name for a reason..

I feel your anger. For what it's worth, I'm in the US and I'm complaining too. I complained last friday about the patch on a friday night here:

The patch last weekend was very good and it makes the game better. I had no crashes and I was able to leave my computer on the whole weekend. I work in an IT company and our policy is to apply patches during the designated maintenance window or wait till the next one. I'm assuming Paragon/Ncsoft felt these patches were important enough that they couldn't wait. I was unhappy with having to patch on a friday but again this patch was pretty good.
