I would say instead of having doc wounds in the heals to replace them with Numina; you would lose the recharge but your heals and regen would be a lot higher. I would also take the brute ATO's out of energy punch and switch them into Bone Smasher so you can get that bigger bonus for rech (especially if you've used the catalysts to make them superior). Then also finish the set of Mako's Bite in energy punch and take off that 2nd slot on combat jump that has LOTG: defense in it and put it on total focus; but leave the LOTG: rech in it alone. Total Focus is 1 of 2 of the most powerful attacks in Energy Melee and you're sacrificing damage/acc in order to get a bonus; you can still have the bonus, just add that extra slot from cj and you can up the damage/rech/acc/end etc.
Other than that, I'd say it looks pretty good for the most part. With a regen I always find using Numina sets is a lot better and since you're going to have tier 4 spiritual, you probably won't notice much of a difference in your rech giving up a couple sets of doc wounds for Numina. -
Thanks everyone for the feedback; it has been really useful. I wish they had done dark assault a lot different and made it more ranged instead of this half & half thing. That's one thing that I liked a lot about earth assault; it was mostly melee and very little ranged. I think they should've focused more on range then going half way in-between.
Now will be the hard decision on whether to lvl this toon past 30 (where she's at now). Maybe I'll get to 32 and see how the Umbral pet is and then make my final decision then!
Thanks again all! -
Hi all! I just wanted to get an overall opinion from the community relating to dark control/assault. My dark/dark dom is lvl 30 and I'm finding it's not as fun as I thought it would be.
What's the call on the sets? Is it good/bad/neutral? Want to see what the consensus is.
Thanks all -
I didn't have that issue yesterday though at all and I remember him hitting me with that too and yet I was still able to escort her and finish the mission.
-
I had done this signature story part 3 yesterday (did it two times actually) and didn't have any issues with being able to progress. When I go to do the the 3rd part this morning on a different toon i was able to complete parts 1 & 2 with no problems, but when I do part 3 and click the glowie, then fight Manticore and defeat him, Alexis Cole-Duncan wont follow me and it still shows in the compass window "Intercept Miss Liberty!".
I'm unable to get any farther; I even quit the TF and restarted 2 times and got the same result.
By the way this is happening on the villain side version of "Who Will Die?". -
I've been noticing since i21 and freedom went live that Diamagnetic Interface hasn't been firing off. I was wondering if 1.) how many other people have had this issue and 2.) if there's a posting about this where is it located.
Thanks all -
Sonic is definitely a good primary for corruptors. The -res from your attacks can stack. I would recommend getting the tier 4 musculature (for an added punch to damage) and reactive from interface to add more -res (which can also stack). I haven't tried time manipulation yet but it seems the consensus on it is very positive. Good debuffs, awesome buffs to you and your teammates might be a way to go.
-
I would recommend keeping Kuji-In Retsu even with the way defense is now in pvp, but if you truly wish to get rid of it you could go with Soul Mastery and get Shadow Meld. Its recharge is about 45 seconds or so and slotted it gives about 30% def to all (nice ability) or you could get leviathan mastery and take hibernate (that way you could at least heal when your HP is low).
As for incarnates, there are many you could do. I'd say stay away from Nerve(alpha). The accuracy bonus is nice but it doesn't give that great of a defense bump. I would recommend either Spiritual (for rech) or Musculature (for damage). If you're finding though that your endurance usage is high though then I'd go Cardiac (end redux).
It might be best to concentrate on an alpha first then go from there -
Quote:The heals on the brute version will restore more HP than it does for scrappers (Recon, DP, etc). Regenerating HP will be higher per second too.Why on earth would you roll a Brute when the same Scrapper will give you far superior performance? If it's already 50 that's one thing but if you're just starting from scratch I wouldn't waste your time with a Brute.
Brutes are still worth rolling and can still hold their ground in pvp even with the fact that their damage output got lowered. -
Quote:One possible route you may go for a pvp dom is earth/thorns. Most if not ALL earth and thorns attacks do -def. Going with ice mastery and getting Hibernate -------> Frozen Armor -------> Hoarfrost ---------> Sleet. He ppl of CoX boards, long time no see etc... Now that mojo is out of the way lets get down to business....
I really would like to make a domi in PvP, but since Castle's ****** of what was a successful (even though at times stressful) pvp scene, I have no idea how to build a toon for PvP no more.
So first set of questions are about the class types... and if possible can someone take the time to explain to me breifly the pro and cons of each of the control sets wrt (with respect to) PvPing (solo and group)
and secondly the same with the secondaries
I have 0 experience with slotting for PvP as well, so could someone give me a rouge idea what to slot for and which has more releavence on a dominator.
I am not asking for a buiuld or nothing like that, I am basically asking for a simp[le pro/cons guide for the sets and also a guide to how to slot a domi in PvP.
Hopefully u fine ppl of the pvp community will help out and hope to see you ppl soon in a PvP enviroment of sorts
Hibernate is a great heal especially if you get low on HP. Frozen Armor has decent defense even in pvp and doms get the pvp resist bonus too. Hoarfrost is also a good heal but can help cap your max HP for a time period (2 to 3 mins). And Sleet is a great debuff, which not only debuffs defense but resistance too (-30% def & resist debuff). I would say though I'd still recommend you to get aid self though (since it can help shortened the duration of being stunned as well).
Thorny assault also gets Aim, which is a nice boost to Damage and to-hit (42.5% base for each) and you can increase the to-hit buff on it as well.
This is just me throwing an idea your way -
I've been noticing today that the Justice server has been really lagging all day. I've also noticed too that the buff bar below your HP/Endo has been disappearing/reappearing off and on all day. At one point I was farming with my tanker on the castle wall in cimerora and was noticing I had perma hasten (which i don't have normally) and the enemies I noticed were jumping all around and powers that I used would continue to have the line rotating around them even after i used them. I have also noticed too when going from one zone to the next that the loading times were a lot longer than usual and I never really have that problem at all.
Has anyone else been having the same issues? -
It's easier to have patience and respect when we're given detailed information. Deathstroke has just as much right to post his perspective just as you do.

Quote:I would prefer having Energize in place of conserve power, especially since the heal aspect of Energy Drain is lacking somewhat. At lvl 50 on my SS/Elec with IOs included + tier 4 spiritual my Energize heals for 935 and for the next 30 sec I regen 50 hp/sec. I do like the idea of Energy Drain getting the def buff instead. Maybe it would be better for them to put Energy Drain at 35 and place Energize (replacing conserve power) at 28 so people who make Eng Aura brutes/scrappers can have a heal somewhat early on. If that's not possible, investing in Aid Self is always a good idea. It increases survivability of the archtype. Overall I've liked Eng Aura for brutes. I know that its gotten a lot of flack for lacking but I've leveled 2 to 50 (SS/Eng Aura & DM/Eng Aura) and really love them a lot. I actually do some farming on both of these toons and getting that def buff from Energy Drain will be nice in place of the heal.Oh, and this discussion (including my posts) has failed to mention that Energy Drain will now give a scaling +Def buff per target hit, the way it currenty has a scaling 3% per target Heal. That will further negate the need to heal every 60 seconds as well.
It's definitely a change to the feel of the powerset, but the changes they're making to Energy Drain and Conserve Power/Energize feel like lateral ones at this point. As I mentioned earlier, we'll need to wait and see how it plays for ourselves before we can declare it a nerf or not. -
Quote:Give us some free server transfers XD that'll make up for the delay of double exp!!!!Hi all,
An issue has cropped up that prevents us from activating Double XP on the live servers this week between July 28 and July 31. The good news is that weve identified the problem that has caused this delay, and will be putting a build up on the Training Room soon that should resolve the issue. We will also be hosting an event later this week in order to ensure the stability of the new build.
We understand this is will be a great disappointment for some of you and appreciate your understanding in this matter. We wouldn't be resorting to cancelling this popular event at such short notice if we could at all avoid it, you can be sure of that.
Instead, we will be hosting Double XP on all live servers between August 11 at 9:00 a.m. PDT (12:00 p.m. EDT / 5:00 p.m. BST / 18:00 CEST) until August 14 at 11:59 p.m. PDT (2:59 a.m. EDT / 7:59 a.m. BST / 8:59 CEST)!
Thank you all! -
I always love the fact that Regens think they're invincible lmao

-
I've gotten more pvp drops from arena matches then in pvp zones. Maybe its just dumb luck or not I don't know but thats been the case for me.
-
Having a pvp currency actually does sound like a good idea. With the insane cost of PvP IOs this might be something the devs should consider. It might help to spur up PvP again in the zone and different servers....
-
Elec Armor stalkers can take a lot of punishment before they die(with good moderate resist to all expect toxic).
I know this for a fact since I have a MA/Elec stalker on virtue (Lightning Viper) -
Lmao! you guys are funny....

Quote:that will be fine Dark RespiteLove the quote, man.
And I am game for giving this a try - if nothing else, with everyone else being disinclined to enter, it improves my chances of winning!
Is posting a Twitpic link for an image acceptable? That way it doesn't slow down the loading of the page, but it's accessible if folks want to see it...
