Maybe the OP needs to add a 2.5 to his steps for idiots like me that says:

"Tell everyone to edit their chat tab to include 'League'"

Doh!

We don' need no stinkin' signatures!

Yes, there's down arrows on the Munitions Facility/Weapons Cache/Grenade/Warehouse team's elevators, and the other is the Training Facility/Lab/Acid elevators. They go by many names. Even with the labels over them.

"Uh oh! To much rage quit! Quick, break something so we can take down the account manager so people can't quit!"

(Yes, I am trying to be funny, and I'm failing to be funny, you get used to me after awhile)

You can still log in and play the game.
You just can't buy character slots, server transfers, apply time cards and game codes, or change your billing.

is this accurate? are they moving away from random drops?

in other words will i have to dial down my awesome if i need a common component? :P

I was told it was random but with bonuses and penalties for your contributions or lack there of.

Does anyone have detailed information on this?

No, you'll just break down your very rare and craft 2 commons. But yes, they moved away from random drops 7 issues ago.

someone should test it and afk a few BAFs and see if they get all commons

who will volunteer, for science?

More likely you'd get the 10 threads reward.

Well, so far, I've managed to get nothing but uncommons this weekend.
Do I need to solo one of the AVs while spamming heals and buffs or something?

Posted

Solo and Cai reported getting the rare window pretty consistently when keeping everyone on all the teams covered in cold buffs, while throwing debuffs.

I've gotten 3 rares and the mostly uncommons and commons (65% unc) in about 50+ runs. Sample size is too small to make a comment but seeing someone getting a rare/v rare in the league each time makes me think I'm doing it wrong.

Not sure how random is random but the luck I get is the bad kind mostly. Usually I have to make my own luck.

Which causes me to insanely lag, or crash from so many people buffing like mad.

Well, I guess I know what I'm going to do next time... bubbles bubbles bubbles... glad that it keeps track of your buffing though - defenders matter too!

as much as i would like to have that become a widespread rumor, i dont think it actually matters. i got around 6-7 very rares and about 8 rares and 25+ uncommons over the 1st week of play on my cold defender. some runs i would toss only buffs for the puller tank and some i would go crazy and buff all 24 people and some pets... i think its still random, we were just lucky.

Have to agree here. I took the +3 cold corr out for a lambda and BAF last night, buffed all 15 and 23 toons respectively, unleashed the debuff and spammed the dmg and got Uncommon both times.

Is it possible that actions are weighted? Maybe. It's also possible I was just lucky. RNG has always been streaky for me. When it rains it pours.

I should have been more specific when I posted. I have a very hard time believing it is that sophisticated, if it is weighted by contribution at all, but, these are somethings people were doing when they got the better reward.

My best guess atm is that there is maybe a few actions which trigger some sort of weighting (shard table vs better reward), ala reward/no reward on hamidon.

Sounds plausible to me.

Plausibility is nothing compared to nerdrage.

I know that the times I've had the 10 shards is when i've faceplanted a lot.

Yeah, didn't really change up my style between two trials last night... first run = Rares, second run = commons

also, a lot less threads last night overall for me. its going to take another day for me to slot the first power in integration (or whatever) or I could do two more days and probably have enough for my 3rd tier Alpha... depending if I need a notice of the well at that point (don't have my incarnate sheet of confusion and notes in front of me atm)

i think i can agree with that.

doesnt anyone else remember the few weeks immediately following the release of new IO sets, that the new stuff tends to drop more than pre-existing stuff? remember when all those new temp powers were released? there is probably some super secret code that exists to help "seed" the market and generate interest in the newest shinies. i have a feeling it was added after wings recipes fiasco around i9.

of course i cant prove anything and my opinions are totally based off of live servers play.
