What is your favorite character build?

I started with Blasters and now I'm a big fan of Controllers.

I love Trick Arrow but came to that relatively late but Storm is also excellent.

I have fun with different builds at different times. Right now I would say that I am having the most fun I have ever had with KM/EleA as a scrapper. That is right now though. For a year or so everything I played was /WP, that got very old though.

So, my favorite depends on my mood. It is much easier to name my least favorite of all time. Which would /SD of any time.

Back in 2004-2005 while I was in college, I was introduced to this game by my roommate. I was using their account to build my toons. My first toon was a Energy/Energy Blaster named Fusion 7. She had a cocky personality and sometimes thought she was a Tanker or a Scrapper only to fall flat on her face but always got right back up. As you guys might remember, back then we had less "nerfed" enhancements and slotting abilities. I had the Hami IO's which I had her slotted with almost all Hami's. Her Nova back then was so ungodly powerful that the ground shook every time I would use it and everyone was clapping and applauding right after I would use it I would say the line, "someone get a broom" after her massive Nova attack.

Well, as life goes, my roommate graduated before me so thus, the CoH account went with my roommate who said they were going to cancel their CoH subscription Circa 2009, I got back into CoH again. I knew that my goal was to see if Fusion 7 (the name that is) survived the past four years without having someone else take her name. To my surprise, I was able to get the same toon name. Yes, I had to re-build her again from scratch but the love for her never was lost. Now, she is a level 50 energy/energy blaster, fully loaded with the meanest and best IO's influence can buy. Yes, my friends, the day I was able to take down the AV Kronos Class Titan solo, I knew she was back and better than ever. Some of my 14 other toons may have come close to the love, but Fusion 7 will always be my most favorite toon.

Toss up between my fire/dark corruptor and my crab spider soldier.
Both are *VERY* tough to kill and deal a ton of AoE damage.

Always have and always will love my electric/electric brute

This month, its BS/SD scrap. Last month was a Earth/fire dom. the month before that was a fire/dark corr, I could go on but the real answer is what ever I happen to be psyched about at the moment.

I love melee characters in general, and Dual Blades in particular... enough to have multiple DB tanks, scraps and stalkers among my 50s. (No brutes, though. I don't like the way they play.)

The vast majority of my 35-or-so characters are winged fliers; mostly members of the same species of (utterly, completely non-canon) Shard natives... Essentially they're Rularuu. Servants of Faathim, created to defend the Shard's surviving humans from other Rularuu.

There's a running joke among some of their Primal friends about how many ways they have to cook and eat Natterlings.

As fits a species of agressive, hunting creatures, most have stealth of some sort (Hide, IOs, pool powers or whatever-) and CJ. They also often end up with Aid Other and Aid Self. The Shard's a rough place to live.

My favorite, of course, is Amerikatt (non-shapeshifting, non-Kheldian Peacebringer).

The PB AT is perfect for her. Who else but a cat is going to have an Inherent ability which gives her bonuses based on who's petting and/or fussing over her (Cosmic Balance)?!

She is a great all-around utility character and can heal, 'tank', blast, and even do a tiny bit of crowd control. She's better at that than any other cat, but any deficiencies can be attributed to her *being* a cat. I am sure that reassures all of the other Healers, Tanks, Blasters, and Controllers on teams with her.

She can fly long distances, or just leap around frenetically (Beast Run).

She is a joy to play, and certainly bolsters my spirits if RL concerns get to be a bit too much.
