Teleport

I slotted it with the time space IOs. One with Range and one that grants stealth. So far I like it. Would you slot teleport in the first place? Should I slot it with one more slot to get the entire set?

Or is this just a waste of time. I found these and already had the salvage, so I decided to do it. The last one I would need would be the Endurance IO, but Im not sure if perhaps it's a waste of slotty goodness.

If you're going to use it for a travel power, you'll probably want end redux in it. I have one character that utilizes the full Blessing of the Zephyr set in teleport.

Its a heavy end use power. Back when I used it for a travel power, I used to slot it first for end, then when could dedicate more slots to it, switch them to range.

These days, I just keep a kb prot in its single slot for my stone tanker. I only use it IF I have rooted or granite on and need to position myself.

Is 20 hit points worth it to you? Depending on your toon, if you have room to give it 3 slots, I would slot BOTZ for the defense instead.

That's brilliant. Stone Tankers don't appear to need any -knb, since they have TWO status protection powers (Granite and Rooted), but both of those slow you, and sooner or later most Stone Tankers turn them off to run to a new position -- a knockback protection IO would be very nice when doing that.

Thanks. I try to stay out of granite as much as possible. If I can get any sort of mez prot from a buffer, no need to run in rooted either.

I sort of like the added stealth, and I do use it as a travel power and I do not find it endurance draining to me. Although, I usually travel inside a bubble, but I find that stealth allows me to sometimes assist by detracting aggro from me to get a mass AOE hold.

Ok, so some people do slot it. I just wanted to make sure that I was not wasting slots. Right now this set offers me Range, Stealth and the bonus is regeneration.

I tend to slot a single EndRdx/Range IO unless I have spare slots (which never happens on a Warshade), though I have sometimes made use of the +Stealth IO when it's made sense to do so.

Slotted up teleport with Boost range from the blaster secondary /nrg and cardiac alpha thrown in for giggles is the fastest travel in the game.

You know what's even funnier?

Unslotted, unbuffed Teleport can surpass the run speed hard cap.

I slot mine up. Speaking of common IOs, I'll do 2 END and 2 RNG in it. My mains that have TP use sets to get additional mileage, but I'll frankenslot a bit to throw in that 2nd range to really make it travel-awesome. I had someone "whoah" over how fast I could get across the Shard this week while they were still flitting around with their borrowed jetpack.

Does it add to my combat ability? Sorta. A lot of my primary's abilities are PBAOE-focused, so going inviso into a group, kicking off my PBAOE chains, means I'm more immediately useful that someone who has to hop and dance to get to where they need to be.

Used to be loads more fun in PVP before suppression hit, though. Ah, I miss those days.

Even if you don't intend to use it for travel, it's a great place to mule BotZs and Winter's Gift.

I use TP on a few toons, most get an additional slot so it can have an end cost and a range in it (I default to SO's or generic IO's).

On my Stone/Fire scranker, so far my only properly IO'd alt, I've got the Winter's Gift Travel/End and Slow Resist IO's. Mainly for the slow resist proc, but I'm not going to ignore the 5% cold resist, which stacks nicely on Brimstone Armour (I only use Granite when I really absolutely have to).

My Bots/Traps MM has (I think) 3 slots in it, but he's on Generic IO's and was a non-stamina build before inherent stamina came in, so I'm not sure that counts.

You can get away with just an end cost in the default slot quite nicely, and that'll let you do long distance travel pretty comfortably, assuming your endurance situation isn't too tight.

For sets, my usual standpoint is 'put in whatever you want and whatever makes sense for your build aims', but more end cost in teleport is rarely a waste if you're travelling long distances.

Back in the days when herding was popular, I found teleport incredibly useful. It was insanely efficient for stacking the mobs into each other.

Nothing breaks line of sight faster.

Teleport is a great spot for three Blessing of the Zephyr because Blessing provides great free +defense to everything, failing that I'd slot it with one Winters Gift Range/Endurance, one Blessing Range/Endurance and one Jaunt Range/Endnurance for max range/max endurance redux. Four slots are not needed and all of those IO's can be had cheaply on the market (Less then ten million is my mark of "cheap")

Generally I take fly, my second choice for a travel power is 'port. It depends on the character and build. I will generally dedicate at least two slots. One end redux one range. Two or three ranges can be nice too, if you have the slots to spare.

On my stalker I have recall friend and 'port both two slotted with Time + Space for the two 8% regin buffs. On a char with no -kb its a good place to put one.

What level, build are you now? I am a little surprised 'port doesn't attack your end bar. Then again you may have no toggles.

Im level 48 rignt now. I noticew if I run teleport with PFF I dont lose much. If I have other toggles on, which I rarely do it can eat a bit of endurance. But Its a travel power. I recharge well before I need to do anything, even in TF's. I just plain up dont find it end draining to me.

Even in battle the end cost is negligable, I think because my controller attacks are not to end demanding.

I like the stealth, and added with PFF I can do most Tf's in a speedy way, minus the limited control off Teleport, but I have learned more how to use it effectively. And with the stealth added, I draw little attention from others if I teleport to a different tier of a map, and with a target I can totaly catch a group unaware of me with a group hold, like Grav Dist Field without taking any form of damage.

I was originally wanting a respec to change my more solo build to a more controller build as end game content requires me to attack less and controll more, but after a couple days of adventuring, Im not sure I would change this aspect of teleportation. It just seems to do what I need for right now.

Although...and many people hate it, I do wish I could fit hover into my build.

I really have enjoyed teleport since the cardiac alpha slot. Reducing the endurance cost significantly while increasing range nominally is really nice. That seems to make tp not only a viable travel power (which I think many would agree it wasn't before alpha slotting) but a really great alternative to either fly or super speed.
