we knew a weekago that he wouldn't leave the hospital unless it was to go home and die under hospice care and he didn't want to stay in a hospital. so he went home tuesday and passed away as i said on thursday in his sleep. doc was right we should all be so lucky. 
he was the only grandfather i knew growing up and his father was still alive until i went to college so i was lucky to know my great grandfather too.

my grandfather, dad's father, herbert edward snuffer passed away today after a few weeks illness. he had turned 90 in january. it was peaceful and he had his 2 older sisters and wife present.
