I found inspiration in real Japanese dishes and then just changed them to glowing purple and blue for the kheldians. In the end, everything but the map and background picture are all hand-drawn or created.

I think I did a pretty good job though perhaps it's too busy for a in-game billboard. So much to learn...

Heya - I am one of the runner-ups and I actually submitted four versions of my billboard. Two orientations for Paragon City (horizontal, vertical), one for Rogue Isles and one for Praetoria. It was fun coming up with ways the same idea could be portrayed for each area.

That is awesome Jordan! You might be right about it being a little busy for the billboard, but the illustration style looks great! I would definately enjoy seeing this in game.

Thanks Psi, I really enjoyed working on these, comming up with funny ideas, and developing the layouts. I am glad they chose the Kinetic Energy Drink, I would love to see vending machines where you could buy self buff temps or inspirations like Speed Boost and other buff powers.

Thanks, and good job on your entry! I REALLY wanted to do one like that, say a billboard for a construction company, with a big arachnos spider shaped hole busted through it. But to really get the effect just right, I wanted it to be an actual hole, rather than an indentation. I also wanted to see pieces of rubble below it. After I thought of that, I thought it would be even cooler if they could take a billboard with a car shaped hole in it, and have a 3d model of a car stuck inside it like it was thrown by a super strength tank and crash landed halfway in the billboard. But I decided to stay within the guidlines and focus on realistic concepts.

Nice job Mini, I love the illustration of Dr. Aeon! Also the text is pretty funny. I wanted to do one with Dr. Aeon and all of his clones promoting a product saying "we love it" but it would be better as a video.

Nice job on this one, what did you use to make the image of the weathergirl? Those alternates look pretty good too! I like how the Rogue Isle version has pieces torn off and subtle splatters, but you dont't notice them right away because of the vandalized mustache lol hilarious!

I used Daz3D for the character. The Rogue Isle version is the one I've heard the most about, and I'm glad I did it. See, villains get a wee bit of love! (Even if they go around tagging pictures of pretty girls with mustaches. ) I thought that was the perfect vandalization for the sparkling smile. *grins*

By the way - I would definitely drink a Kinetic beverage... while wrapped up in a Clanket.
