I seem to remember there being some less tedious way of doing this besides pen and paper. My current badge situation is all bshnebin... I have tons and tons of them and no practical way of tracking which I have and which I want.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

City Info Tracker using Titan Sentinel is my tool of choice. Just create an account, download and run Sentinel while you play, and a wealth of info (including badges) is tracked on the site for you.

Tip: Use /info_self to initially populate or add any badges to the list that were missed and then manually send it to the site in Sentinel.

I made the jump to CIT and Titan Sentinel a while back and love both of them. It feels like what the "City Vault" (remember that?) was supposed to be. It's been easy to set up, use, and very helpful for badge tracking and other info. There's even an option to export your character's build from the game to a Mid's data chunk.


Err, so yeah. Another vote for Titan Sentinel/City Info Terminal.

I've used both and sentinel has made the badge tracking process a complete breeze. Open your personal info window and that's it ... and the Mids build export is a respecing godsend!

I'm looking forward to see what they will come up with next, it's been hinted that salvage/recipe tracking might be coming.

Which one should you use? Well, which site do you give a toot about? I find CIT more helpful compiling "to do" lists from their site, but BH seems a bit less buggy (right now the two CIT badge leaders are at 1230 badges, which is a bug in their DB - I chatted with one of them, they were utterly confused about the badge amount CIT was reporting). BH is more straight-laced. Less bling, more bang. Forums there are quite helpful too.

But yeah, for ease of use... Sentinel is AMAaaaaazing.

I believe they wiped the database in the past day or so and started everything over. At least, all of my characters no longer had there badge data on there. Luckily, Sentinel makes it really easy to fix.

Beef_Cake planned on getting a Badge-Hunter version of Sentinel made (linky) but I don't know how far that's come along. The above info could be quite outdated at this point.

Sentinel does make it ridiculously easy, yep. Thanks for the tip, I just updated my main toon now.

To be explicit: Run Sentinel concurrently with COH/V. When you're on a character, type /info_self into chat.

That's it -- your entire badge history is now in City Info Tracker, which also has your name and biography. You can add your preferred title and a pic/screenshot manually (and you don't nee to host the pic independently either, you can upload it directly into CIT.)

Couldn't be easier. CIT also tracks your inf and the levels/powersets of your entire account. Certain things like money can be hidden manually from other users if you prefer.

Very easy... when it works... I re-upped my info to CIT for my main Friday evening. The toon itself shows 1203 verified badges, but he's not on the leaderboard still. I smell a conspiracy. XD

(Not sure where the plug-up is, I see a few names of people who re-upped their data more recently than me, and they're on the leaderlist fine.)

According to this post on the titan boards, it's only updated every 24 hours. It's a year and half old post and it seems to me that it's done a bit more frequently now.

Approaching the two day mark now. The WEIRD thing is that CIT has my data already (see here: http://cit.cohtitan.com/character/13743). But on the Leaderboard, none of the heavy hitters I usually see are showing up (Lothic, Caliburst, Piyerus, etc).

Acc'd to the top of the leader board it says it updates every 4 hours, but I think something might be bugged right now.

D'oh. I was originally going to post 4 hours, but I had no clue where I was pulling that number from. It was right there in front of my face all along.

I'd say post on their Badge verification forum and ask what's up.

If you want a lower-tech method of checking badges, using in-game, built-in functions, you can check out the "In-Game Badge Reporter Tool" thread in my signature.

It's a menu that looks just like the emote menu on your chatbar or the menus you get when right clicking an NPC, object or character.

It uses the undocumented POPMENU command with a custom built MNU menu file containing LOCKED OPTION functions linked to Badges so that the badges you have show up in highlighted text and the ones you don't have are darker text.

In the thread is my original really low-tech BadgeReporter.mnu and also MultipleGirls incredible re-creation using a Badge information database with complete details and direction on how to get every badge. She also has a great Badge Hunting custom "Help" file (for use with the /HELP command) that she figured out how to make that even contains exploration badge location pictures.

All accessible inside the game itself with no need for external programs or websites once you put the plain-text menu or help files in the right place.
