Of course it is. After all, Sisko is the only captain who had the balls to deck an omnipotent being.

Sisko was never Captain of the Enterprise, which disqualifies him from this particular debate. That, and... yeah, Sisko getting involved in this would be like Christopher Walken duking it out with Michael Ironside: no one would survive the sheer awesomeness.

Bah. Kirk regularly went mano-a-mano against opponents with god-like powers, e.g. Gary Mitchell, the Squire of Gothos, Apollo.

Sisko punched Q in the face. And Q never came back. Sisko wins.

Nobody THOUGHT he came back.

Thing is, Sisko used to be top dog of the entire Federation. So how'd his entire history get retconned into being the captain of a space truck stop?

Boy done got Q'd.

He left in the punching him in the face thing just cause he's that kind of omnipotent being.

The man went from being Hawk to being Sisko...damn straight Q came back and retconned things.

BAH!

It's plain to see -- that video was little more than pro-Picard propaganda. Of the two, Kirk, is clearly superior.

That said, they both pale in comparison to one Captain Benjamin Lafayette Sisko.

The "Kirk versus Picard" thing was so 20 years ago. I had much more recent fun watching Bill Shatner and Lee Majors (a.k.a. The Six Million Dollar Man) duking it out in the last episode of "$#*! My Dad Says".

And yet I didn't hear the music, see a single jump kick, or anyone punch/throw/jump in slow motion with a nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh sound effect. Fail.

But it was funny that out of the few lines Lee Major was given to say in the episode just about every sentence contained the word "million" in it.

Well I figured since I wasn't putting "Janeway", it'd be fine.

Q got stabbed by Guinan with a fork. For a near-omnipotent being, he deserves no respect.

Besides, Q frequently returned to annoy Picard like Star Trek's answer to Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Who was Kirk's only recurrent nemesis? Khan Noonien Singh, thank you very much.

Irrelevant. He was fully human at the time.

Pfft, Kirk could only handle the one recurrent nemesis. Sisko had Dukat, Weyoun, the Founders, and the Pah-Wraiths. And he kicked all of their a**es.

Unlike Sisko, when Kirk kicks someone's *** they know better than to come back for a second helping.

Kirk's enemies gave up like the pansies they were. Sisko's enemies were persistent until the bitter end, when he would render their planets uninhabitable. And then they would forgive him for it.

The jovial chap who supplies weary spacers with lovely doxies and/or fembots is a mere panderer, though he does have an obvious insight into Kirk's Achilles Heel.

That's a less impressive feat when one considers how Wesley Crusher was also able to pull off that supposedly lethal fashion statement.

Sisko was so wimpy, Kirk's old enemies came out of hiding once Benji was all they had to worry about. Just look at Kang, Koloth, and Kor.
