Well, in the Knightfall arc, Bane has a dedicated crew of a few other guys. Levitt could play one of em, but maybe they're going to change it up by having that crew be lesser known yet established villains. Maybe Clockwork King?

Seems to me he's too big a name to play a complete mook.. it'd kinda be like Cillian Murphy playing one, so perhaps you're onto something.

I think the Riddler, I know Nolan said there would be no Riddler but the rumor was Johnny Depp was going to play the Riddler.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt fits the Edward Nigma type and he might not be using Riddler name in the movie but Edward Nigma. Nolan maybe playing something sly here.
Clockwork King is too over the top power wise not realistic to how Nolan is setting Batman.
Robin won't happen. Bale said more than once he would not want to be around Robin at all as he is Batman.
The Ventriloquist & Scarface would be a good one for him.
Hugo Strange could work maybe he is involved with the Venom or they are doing some sort of modification of Prey SL and Knightfall together.
I doubt this is the Knightfall story as this is the last Bale/Nolan Batman movie.
I guess all that's left is for Nolan to enact a plan to drive Bale crazy(er) enough that they can legally break contract with him so Leonard deCaprio can be casted in the lead?

Awesome. One of my favourite 'young' actors. Looking forward to seeing this movie, now just have to wait for it to get here.

Curing your feelings toward Joseph should only require you give one of his best movies a chance, THE LOOKOUT. Joseph was superb in this intriguing film, give it a view.
I actually like Joseph though, I have always cared for him as I see him as an everyman and find a connection with him through that.

Originally, I had predicted after hearing of Heath Ledger's unfortunate death that they might recast the Joker with Joseph Gordon-Levitt once he got a little bit older because of how much alike the two of them looked. Even though Christopher Nolan has stated he won't continue with the Joker, I find it very, very interesting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has now joined the cast..
