A bit of a tease, making me think, just for a bit, that Scott Bakula might return.

Had that same thought and the trick was pulled off nicely.

So you mean you'll put down your rock, and I'll put down my sword; and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?

Dubbed first knight of pep-istan by her majesty Queen Pepcat. first catmonaut to walk onna moon.

I love this show but that stupid spider security thing just annoyed the crap out of me. Chuck often skirts the borders of reality so far as gadgetry goes but that just went too far.

But about some of the other stuff. I think it's possible that whoever did the Orion message put some sort of code in it. Not a code as in part of the series but a code as in the writer or fx guy slipping some sort of in joke into the message. When cycling from the message to the name Orion the first 3 characters are F10 followed by a couple spaces and then rapidly cycling 5 character groups. MJJCR YJJOR (something)LLER and IFFYB. It could be random but considering the geekiness of the show I have a feeling it's not.

Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!

Very enjoyable episode. I really loved the twists and turns it took. Glad to have Sarah back where she belongs. I would have liked to see Chuck kick the crap out of Volkoff, but hey, ya can't have everything.

So, just got around to watching this on Hulu (after a horribly failed LRSF ) and I've got to say the episode was fantastic. Lovely little twists and turns throughout and then just a fantastic ending on top of it all.

Really great episode, but is it just me or did anyone else feel that Volkoff was never worth half the build up they were giving this idiot? yes he had the eeeeee-vil villain half down, but after Roark in the second season and then Shaw in the third, this guy was just watered down crazy. Definitely not the uber-evil-mastermind he was built up to be. That and this felt more like an episode that should have been a season finale, and that it was planned that way, but then NBC came in just after they filmed it and told them "okay, this has been good, you get another 6 to 8 episodes for the season, have fun!" and that the rest of the seasons is going to just feel tacked on, again, like the past 2 seasons.

He's got a computer in his head that can insta-teach him martial arts and dancing and carries the entire covert knowledge of two of America's spy agencies. The borders aren't even visible from where they are.

I just got caught up yesterday but haven't seen this one. The two before it were really good though!

I'm a little late in adding this, but . . .

I, personally, think that Chuck "jumped the shark" a while ago.
I still enjoy the show and continue watching it, but I see it rather rapidly degenerating.

As this episode ended however, I'm sitting there thinking to myself
"Now THAT would have been a perfect series finale." (or at least a season finale).

My wife and I actually groaned a bit when the teaser for next weeks episode came on.

Had NBC not re-upped for another 11 episodes that WOULD have been the season (and probably series) finale. As it is we're getting the equivalent of 2 BBC-length series in one season. I expect we'll get another story-arc that builds over the course of those 11 episodes with an appropriate finale as well.

Now that I think about it, a LOT of shows would benefit from a two-arc season approach vs. dragging a single arc out across 22 episodes.

I finally got caught up on last Monday's Chuck this weekend . . . and it was a great episode. One of the great lines of the season was:

Lester: Pregnant women, ewwww. (disgusted)
Jeff: Pregnant women, ewwww. (interested)

(Just soooo creepy!)

That and Jeffster playing "Push It" for the birth -- was simply fall-on-the-floor funny.

Yes, it came across as a season finale. I'm glad it is not.
