Oddest Powersets We Play

My two 50s are fairly odd powerset combos that I don't think I have ever seen outside my own doing.

First 50.. Necro/Traps. Tons of fun playing this build. Works quite well together as well. Run into the center of the mobs and start laying traps in bodyguard mode while your zombies run into melee as they are still following you. Chaos and death ensues. Of particular note I refer to this build as the pukefest. Zombies using vomit attacks on their foes while they too are vomiting from the poison trap. Ha ha!

The second was a sonic/psi defender. Liked it at the time.. kind of got sick of it after a while though. It's gathering dust now.

Ive played an Energy/Fire blaster to 50

Ive played an Energy/Traps Corruptor to 36, I think.

My mind/rad controller (lvl 46) is kinda rare.

Now working on a Kinetic Melee/ Regen stalker.
I never take the easy path on stalker with defensive sets. My main villain (now a Rogue) is Dark Armor. My stalkers are built to be scrappers first and foremost when finished.

My blasters are built to be burst damage specialists from Stealth, so like a stalker when finished.

Just the way I roll.

Well, sonic in general seems rare. I have a sonic/mental blaster and a FF/sonic defender (as well as a sonic/sonic corruptor, but that's not so odd).

I have Show-Girl (Illusion/FF controller, who uses kick, flurry and Air Superiority more than some of her illusions)

White-Swan (Empathy-Psi...boring...probably common)

Nyte-Terror (Dark Melee/Dark Armor Stalker...which people told me was rare)

Sun Flower (Plant -Thorns Dominator...also boring or common)

I deleted a ton of toons or rerolled them. Nyte-Terror was Demon/Poison but Im not a huge Mastermind fan. I wish I could just get Whip Melee

It's really hard to judge what's an 'odd' combo in this game, because concepts can justify anything.

I do have a rare AR/Fire Blaster, which is quite the fun killing machine. I tend to only really use one powerset or the other, though. Or more specifically, I think I've kinda got at least three attack chains for certain situations: Burst/Slug/Buckshot for single target/short range, M30 Grenade/Flamethrower/Full Auto for ranged AoE, and Fire Sword/FSC/whatever for melee.

I have an Earth Melee/Dark Armor Brute (50)... horrible horrible endurance usage, but I still like him.

Throw in a sonic/Electric Defender who is painfully boring to play.

I don't know that I have a lot of "odd" builds. I have a lot of builds in general, and I level so slowly that I have a pattern where I build a concept, the sets get improved to not suck quite so much, it becomes a FOTM, it gets nerfed, and I look like I build FOTMs from three years ago. (Instead of building random crap five years ago.)

I have been trying to make Electricity cool since i3. I have an Emp/, a Rad/, and a Dark/Elec defender, Elec/Devices blaster, and now with Elec/Elec brutes and dominators my life is getting easier.

I love Grav/storm controllers, I have 3.

My favorite blaster is an Archery/Energy blaster named Satyrical. Archery is rare enough that anything is kind of odd.

My Grav/Psi (Currently 44).

BEFORE the buffs to psi.

AoE Immob + Psychic Scream = Perma slow effect. I was actually the alpha soaker until the mid 30s (when mobs started getting ranged attack chains).

Fire/Devices Blaster, whom I love beyond reason.

I tell everyone what a great combo it is, and they roll their eyes and politely change the subject. I've only seen one once on Virtue, but I don't go looking around for them, either.
