How to become a Praetorian again?
Hi,
I started a char in Praetoria. After a few missions with other players, was White sending me on some sort of mission trough a portal. I had to choose between Hero or Villain and boing, I am listed now as Hero. I can reenter Praetoria over DJ Zeros PocketD, but none of my older contacts does recognize me. Actually they are gone from my contact list. Don't want to be a Hero or Villain. After reading some goggle findings I have a few question: Does Praetoria dont have any quests or a own storyline or is Praetoria a starter area where you get kicket out after 20 levels? How do I stay Praetorian? Do I have to play in the old world after level 20? |
Players have speculated that Praetoria will eventually have additional content past level 20, but that is speculation at this point.
If you don't want to be Hero or Villain, you can do the Tip/Morality mission process to become a Vigilante or Rogue. Then you will have access to both sides. You can always revisit Praetoria, but contacts won't give you any missions.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Praetoria is currently only a zone for level 1-20. There are some new Raid events for higher levels, but you can't get missions there after you leave the zone and choose to become a Hero or a Villain. (You actually can stay in Praetoria a little bit past level 20, but as you level up, eventually the missions will become too low level for you.)

At this time the indications are that there will be no more Resistance / Loyalist content added to the game. You will have to leave Praetoria. You will have to decide to become a Hero or a Villain.
The suspicions at this time are that future Praetorian content will be focused on the Resistance City of Sanctuary, and that content will be flagged for the Villain, Rogue, Vigilante, and Hero factions.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
You could probably level all the way to 50 in Praetoria by exemping down with other people on their missions. I'd imagine you'd get really tired of running those missions over and over again though.

I don't think it's as much to become a Praetorian AGAIN, as to have your Contacts recognize you. You will always be a Praetorian, as that's where you came from. And you can always return to Praetoria, it's just for some reason the game doesn't currently recognize that fact when you are talking to old contacts.
The real question is, "Is there any Praetorian content after 20?" And there isn't. Even if content is added post-20 in future issues, it won't be exclusive to Praetorians, it will be for everyone. So the Praetorian exclusive content runs from 1 to 20, after that you must leave Praetoria to access the post-20 content.
Another difference is that there is no Loyalist/Resistance division post-20. My guess on the matter is that this is because the Loyalist/Resistance system uses the same variables as the Hero/Villain system, and thus after you get to 20 you "graduate" into the Alignment system. You're just substituting one alignment for another.
One way of looking at it is that you have three paths from 1-20 (Hero, Villain and Praetorian) and two paths after 20. (Hero and Villain) But, after 20 you can switch between the Hero and Villain paths, or even choose between both. So it's more like three paths 1-20, and one more flexible path from 20 to 50.
Since I outleveled some of the Praetorian content while I was still a Praetorian, I had hopes that Ouroboros would let me go back and redo my Praetorian missions (and finish the ones I had outleveled). Sadly, that seems to not be the case. :-(
