*Ice Refs Baby!*

Looks like Ice will be Feb's FArt theme.
While I do have a few Ice based heroes of my own you might not know it to look at them as their outfits don't necessarily advertise it.

So I figure I'd open it up to the forums and see if anyone has a character who's look really says ice or cold in
some way who wants a shot at being a part of some "cool" (see what I did there ) art.

Hmm, the ethics of suggesting my character when i'm fully intending to use him for my entry too...

Not sure if it has any interest to you (and I'm not sure how much the rules of FArt allow for blurring of the themes) but you could do an "ice queen" angle in personality, rather than in powers?

OH! I do believe I have a tiny toon that may fit your bill! I'll get some screenies for you!

The closest I have that actually would look like ice would be Valerie Vincent, she's a bounty hunter with some sub-zero capabilities and some very sturdy guns

My very first and main villain Hellfrost. Hopefully she looks cold enough for you.

Hellfrost : ice/rad corruptor (and also an ice/fire blaster version)

Perhaps ironically, as a Brute he won't be able to even have any real ice powers until he hits 41.

I'm playing with ideas for frost giant names right now.

EDIT: Scratch that, he exists now. I can't believe "The Jotunheimer" was free. You can't get much more perfect than that...

Here's Nuvuk, my ice/earth/ice dominator. His earth powers are all recolored to look like ice. I recently respec'd into the ice app for doms. These screenies are a little out of date, the cryogenic aura was added to replace the vaporous aura.
The premise for this character is that he is an inuit that ingests flesh/oils from arctic sea life to inherit some of their attributes.

Costumes: Inuit, Walrus, Orca

I have my Dark/Ice/Dark Defender, Arctic Black.




The idea behind his costume is that the spikes on his Gloves and Boots, the organic Shoulders, his belt, and his Mask are all made of Ice. His Hair tips and goatee would be frosted over too.

(Side note, I love having the Snowflakes Aura, and the snowflake emote for him lol.)

well. Ice Minstral has that ice block top. I've got Meowce, down there in the character album. Not so much a made of ice character, but a ice user.

Thanks for all the great refs posted thusfar, I sent out several PM's asking for more info on the characters but so far haven't found quite what I'm looking for.
I have my FArt idea more refined now and I've decided it will feature a female ice based character and that her face/expression will play a key role so no masks or hoods or anything that obstructs. Someone a little compulsive in nature.

Still looking yet if anyone wants to put up a last minute ref for a shot at being a central figure in my piece otherwise I'll head over to the CC and make something up from scratch.

It does have interest to me. When I first saw the theme would be ice I thought of what that might mean to me in regards to CoH, three things came to mind right away and I was torn which route to go with it. Now I'm thinking I'm should try and incorporate them all.

An icy cold demeanor/expression was the second of the three and reading your thoughts
on it makes me hopeful that others will pick up on what I'm going to try and do with theme. Thanks LLD.

Sounds like you might like to use my character Cerulean Archer, except I'm using her for my piece. I'd be perfectly happy if you decided to use her as well, but I imagine that you wouldn't want to just because you wouldn't want to have something close to my piece.

But I do have another character that might fit your bill. Shiver Queen - Shield/Ice tanker
