I accidently emailed just over 600 million influence to the global name @Rutterkin

Could this person please email it back to me, I beg you!! It's all the influence I have. 8(
In the future I shall be more careful and change my handle if it's available.
I am at the global handle @Rutterkin. (With the period)

You have my sincere apologies and thanks!

If @Rutterkin doesn't come through, ask in the marketing forum. I know I'd chip in 100 mil to help make things better.

Have you sent an email asking the recipient?

Assuming this is the same Rutterkin = forum profile. He might not be an active player. You may want to send a petition for a GM to return the email.

I sent an in game e-mail as soon as I realized my mistake. I was in a hurry and missed the period at the end. I was just so excited about being able to rebuild my favorite toon and I got sloppy.

I just petitioned a GM for the return of the e-mail and received what looks to be a standardized response. I'm hoping for the best! **crosses fingers**

If you were around during GR, you may have a free global-rename available, you might consider renaming to something less typo-prone. Or ask the GMs to give you that one and rename the inactive guy, if the other one is really inactive.

Make sure to be as detailed in your petition as possible. Include when you sent the email, how much was in it, what the Subject line was, what the message said. also be clear about the mistake you made (forgetting a period/space/etc). If you already sent the petition it might be a good idea to log into the support site and update your ticket with additional info.

One thing that works :

Send yourself a blank email first. When it successfully end up in your box, reply to it and load the reply with the goodies.

I accidently emailed my deactivated trial account instead of the subbed account before and the GM bounced the email back to me. It took about 2-3 days for the GM to respond. Hope it works out for you!

IF the account is in active, and for some reason the Gms won't help (but they've helped in the past) at most 30(?) days wait for the auto-return function to kick in.

Might be 60.

When you log in a character, you get a lot of green system messages. One of which is a reminder of your global name. Just highlight it for a copy (ctrl-c) and then paste it (ctrl-v) into the email address. You can't go wrong. Well, unless you missed grabbing the period . Let it be a lesson learned, give yourself a unique name.

It's 60.

OP, contacting a GM is the best thing to do. With any luck you'll have your inf back soon.

What's the significance of the name Rutterkin that multiple people would want it?

You could change your global name xXxRutterkinxXx. (i always mentally pronounce "xXx" and similar variants as a sort of rasping throat clearing noise. It makes those names much more fun to read.)

This matter has come to a quick and surprising resolution.

Thank you to GM Hardy and GM Lloyd for their help in returning my errant e-mails!

Also, thank you to the kind soles who sent me various amounts of influence with the instructions "Not to return it", "This is NOT a loan", "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year". This is a fantastic community and I shall pay this kindness forward!

Thank you ever so much!

Huh, hope this is the same GM Lloyd that's been working here forever. I rarely remember GM names but I DO remember Lloyd specifically as being awesome.

Yeah, me too...but I lost 113 trillion.

Seriously glad to hear it worked out Circe. Good to know there are decent players out there willing to lend a hand, too.

Cross-thread jokes rule!

Seriously, go ahead and ask in the market forum. I can't remember whether I'm closer to 3 or 4 billion inf right now. I couldn't even tell you to the closest billion how much I'd have if all my current listings sold. Inf is, you know. Not really very significant.

I think I have a picture of him somewhere, in case you're curious.

Let's see... Oh yeah, here it is!

Awesome, indeed.
