Looking for Captains for The New Freedom PvP League

There is atleast one more captain that has not posted in this thread so I count 6 serious captains and I am pretty sure those 6 can keep their teams active throughout the league. I'm rather shocked but extremely happy with the response to this. If only the Devs would lend a hand and give us some free server transfers things would be perfect. Since no one has said a time or date yet lets shoot for Wednesday the 12th at 9pm for the meeting. We will post a free agent thread after that and get things rolling. Id like to have a "showcase" prior to the draft so that free agents can show their level of skill (Something along the lines of a few kickballs).

That time/day will work for me, and I like the showcase idea.

next week is a turnover week for me at work. will be putting extra hours in. i might miss the showcase thing. i will be tossing my name in the free agent pool.

It is if you're not mentally challenged and have 4-6 players already who are actually interested and likely to stick.

Might I suggest one thing.

Not everyone likes to play and or has spec'd out blasters that they feel they could match up with, people will like to participate more if there's room open for originality.

The NFL puts in its own restrictions to make the game enjoyable, there can only be so many eligible receivers downfield, too many receivers who's gonna block?

Personally I like that the league captains were able to self police themselves by allowing only two stalkers per match, beyond that why not set up restrictions for every AT allowed in match. And also the new badness of KM will need to be accounted for.

Tank (2), Blaster (4), Scrapper (2), Defender (3), Controller (3), HEAT (3)
Brute (2), Dom (4), Stalker (2), Corruptor (3), Mastermind (3), VEAT (3)

Just throwing that out there, it can be changed up but I think a max of 4 is a good number to work with. Forced variety would mean more creativity which could lead to better enjoyment and participation.

Just because the devs at this game let their PvP be bad doesn't mean we have to facilitate it's badness.

always room for originality - people get picked becuase they are known (like u lady m) have pvp viable toons or are willing to spec into em. I don't think there are any hard fast rules on team make up..

Why does everyone think limits inspire creativity?

Even if people went for this, though they won't; all it would do is create a new best/easy general line-up and everyone would run it. This kid has a Corr rather than a Blaster? Oh, we're running Corrs! Wait, wrong primary or secondary.... That idea solves nothing. The baddies will still have to re-roll more often than not and line-ups will have little to no diversity.

The only moments of diversity is the short time after someone has a great idea that works til everyone copies it.

Bad, bad, bad, idea.

The only thing I would want limited would be stalkers to 2 or 3, just so a team cant decide they are gonna run all stalkers to attempt to force a 0-0 match, the rest the captains should just be able to figure out what they will be able to run based on the people they get in the draft and what toons said people say they have available to play.

Id like limit stalkers to 3 and have ties replayed. We shall see what happens there.

I like the ties replayed method, always worked before for us on test.

It can go for weeks or months at a time as if it were an open, playable public shard. Then a beta or a preview comes along. The server gets locked or wiped and all the plans for that time period get a flush and swirly with exactly zero recourse. Sometimes without even an announcement.

I've spoken to the Devs VIA e-mail (Avatea, Posi and Ghost Falcon all responded.) They've already stated they would be more than willing to work with the reps of the community event as far as scheduling PvP events on test server around down times.

Seems to me the PvP reps just need to establish a line of communication.
