1. For people running this lg, make sure the selected captains are serious about organizing their team (nice way of saying not retards) and the people will play for them if possible.
2. For people who are willing to put their names into draft list, when you do that you are saying you are willing to play for any of the captains/teams in the lg. Making a post saying I won't play for x and y team just does not sit well with me (just my opinion). I know I enter drafts and fully aware I can go to any team and will play and show up for any team.
3. "There's nothing wrong with keeping a low profile" - Someone told me this once. I don't necessarily agree with this. Changing globals to be drafting by a certain team or forcing hand to be traded etc...anything of that nature to me is pretty much border along the line of cheating. Cheating on an online game is lol to me. I understand the intial proposed rules are to curve that. But I really hate to have to see, a person registered for over 4 years, to have his/her first post on the forum as "I want to be traded". See point #2.

I don't care if someone would rather not play with certain people, it's bound to happen; not allowing idiots to be Captains is a good idea, though.
As far as global name changes and **** like that, I also couldn't care less. I changed my global so I'd be allowed in some really fat league, not to get on any particular team. I ended up on a team where I knew, like, one person; til Silit was traded for.
As far as I'm concerned, it's your team vs whoever. If you're too ****** to win a match vs some players, you deserve the loss, so people could do any and all sorts of acct-sharing, "sneaking", etc. I don't give half a ****. It's always happened and will always happen anyway.

everyone knows I invented all mm teams, infact any good teams in coh were invented by me....this is tru because I own the Freaks base now which was owned by Ajax who invented pvp and therefore I own all those inventions..

PS did you know it is against the EULA to compare COH to any other MMO?? Like even if you said "I can ride a LLAMA in X but not in SEE OH EECH" it would get mod smacked? True story..
I guess I would be willing to cap if we get this thing going in a reasonable time frame. I also need to know how many people I need to find to be on my team so I can work on that. This makes 5 if we get one more we can figure out the rules we do not necessarily need to wait for the champ league to be over.

Freedom League -
Rules are as follows -
Initial league teams will be announced here in this thread as follows

each player can list more than one global to include all their accounts(if they have multiple accounts)
Inital teams will not have more than 6 pre picked memebers - all other members will be picked from a draft.
In a separate post each player who wishes to participate in the draft must sign up as follows (global and pvp viable toons) ex.
@global
List - psi/em blaster
ill/emp controller
em/wp stalker
there will be no consideration as to what team you want to be on so please do not list "i will only play for X" if that is the case either get on a pre picked roster or don't sign up.
Sign up for teams and drafts will end at XX/XX/XXXX. All draft sign ups after xx/xx/xxxx will be considered for future draft pics to compensate for player loss.
Each team captain will pick from a draft date TDB. Pick order will be determined by 2 factors. Team with 4 pre picks will get first pick in random order, then all teams will get picks following a random order from then on.
(for example if there are three teams with 4 - they will pick first, based on a random order, then all teams will be given a random order so potentially some of the teams with 4 could pick twice before a team of 6).
Teams must pick until they have 14, there is no refusing players left in draft. Once all teams have 14 the draft will end. Players not picked will remain on the list for subsequnet drafts.
Matches-
Map Selection and Illegal Maps: All rounds will be set to Random map selection. The Monkey Cage, Office, and Cave maps are not permitted in any round; reset if you get them.
Only small inspirations and temp powers bought from the Arena Store are allowed. No Base Buffs or special inspirations (i.e. Presents and SoWs) are permitted.
Barcode-type names will not be permitted. Player names shall be easily distinguishable.
If 4 or more players from the same team disconnect from a round, that team forfeits the round.
No Ouroboros portals will be permitted during the match.
NO TIES - results of 0-0 will be refought.
Team entries are posted here - teams must have at least 4 members and no more than 6. Each team must name one player as a captain and one as an alternate. If a team plays with a global not listed on thier roster, they forfeit all matches and the other team wins two matches.
All petitions for rule violoations and changes to rules will be voted by captains. Captains will get a voice in petitioning for changes.
The league will be self running. Matches will be best 2 out of 3. Teams will get 1 point for winning 2 matches. There will be no ties. All ties will be refought. Sudden Death is lol.
Banned Powers:
whatever is still broken.
AT limits - none.

Here in lies the issue we need to vote on how many initial team members. We are assuming 6 without actually discussing it with the capt's and IMO 4 is by far a better choice. That is really the only thing I want to get sorted out right now so I can attempt to organize a team. I currently have 4 and do not plan on asking any more till this is sorted.

Even if people settle on 6, you could still have four, but draft more. I don't think it's an issue. Moving on this too soon could be, if certain captains who may have intended to lead a team are unable or simply change their minds. I was under the impression a few were "might"s and we're just assuming it's locked in.
I'm assuming there will be an "everyone must play" rule to keep **** carebear?
Yea I think it's really the only way to keep people happy and allow everyone to be involved. I think the idea behind most of these leagues is to get more people into pvp even if they might not be very good. I mean as I said before the longer this league drags out the less likely I will be able to capt. Not the we need to get it started tomorrow or anything but trying to make progress couldn't hurt. At least from what I have seen staying stagnant only makes the league burn out easier because people lose interest. I think interest will jump if we really show we are doing this.
I'd recommend that you can submit a roster of as many people, maximum of 6, and if you are under 6 people, you get to draft people first, until all rosters have 6. Then continue the draft in a normal fashion.
I think this basically makes it easier to get teams signed up, and also close the gap between the best and worst teams.
If server transfers are brought back, I too, may be returning.
Unfortunately, I do not have any leadership skills, so I can not captain.
Also, I am not very good, so I won't make any pre-selected teams.
So, look out for me in the draft!

Im not going to be carebear about it I like the 6 pre draft team idea better then the 4 man pre draft just becuz I'd rather play with ppl i know rather then a few idk. Theres still alot of time to get this going though due to 2 weeks left in the champion league and then its the end of holidays so maybe ppl coming back from vacation or something will c the thread and sign up.. who knows.
