I know nothing about it except two things: You must have something slotted in the Alpha slot and there are various objectives within the missions that give badges!

Since it's new-to-me, I would like to try for a fairly balanced team. All of the various badges will not be a main priority, but never hurts to try for em. (if i'm completely wrong, let's pretend it never happened)

1 Me - Scrapper Badger
2 Penny - Emp (There is no maybe. There is only obedience!)
3 KT - Tank/Brute
4 Flux - Ill/Rad
5 Buff/Debuff?
6 Necrotech's Main - ?
7 Voog - Dom (I don't like late. I hate late. I despise late. In fact, be early!)
8 Shamster - Misc/Damage/something

No execeptions regarding having the Alpha slotted. 99% sure it can be checked via the info window, so no shenanigans!

I'm up for it. Only have it unlocked on my mastermind right now, but working on my tanker now and then going random.

You mean slotted? Has to have a shiny in the hole.

And I doubt that's the first time you've heard that.

Voo! You promised not to tell!

Anyhow, yeah, yeah, will be there.

My ill/rad is available for this. Maybe the fire/mm blaster, depends on how the evening goes for incarnate salvage.

I'll try to make it, might be a tad late though. Voodoo Girl - level 50 Plant/Thorn Dom.

Updated. Would like a buff/debuff for the current last open spot, but maybe you can sweet talk me if there is something else useful.

Useful is a fun word.

necro is a ninja/dark... I think?

Also, word on the street is that the AVs have some super tohit or something. So moar +defense would likely be preferable.
Just sayin <3 glhf

Voo, Hew here.... Our Apex team last night was pretty mashed up. We an ill/kin troller who just threw out PA and lots and lots and lots of heals, a MM (in the last fight he just tried to avoid dying....), Mr Darke (a pain corr), me, maelstone, a blaster, another brute, and another blaster? I cant remember what #8 was. But we rolled it in 70 minutes. I think its easy to be pretty flexible in this TF based on what we saw, as long as you can get out of the way or survive. Either or. A very large helping of some healing makes any team functional I would say. I definitely would like to do this one more time with a completely random team. Last night was 100% PUG. We had no problem with Tinmage either....

Hope you guys have/had fun!

Yeah I'm not too worried about team make up overall, but with it being my first time, I just don't want a Mental/stalker leeching is all.

I'm more interested in seeing what the objective stuff is like, and badges. Once the badger is done with these, my other mains are for more team-useful and I'll have no problem with a more lucid team.

And if things go smoothly, I wouldn't mind jumping into Tinmage's afterwards tonight as well.

I can probably be up for Tin Mage too.

I'm up for it... the Bubble buffs are slotted.

TY for the Apex Run and then the Tin Mage run. At 10 iShards now and just need another 22 or so to craft ma Uncommon Cardial Boost.

...unless I go for the Uncommon Nerve boost, which I'll need another 34 iShards to craft...

Just run one of the TF's that drop a component as a reward choice.

I'd certainly call both of those a little different then the other TFs out there. Those Halberds are a little overkill with all the other stuff going on; and why on earth did they have to make up a new unresistible damage on top of it, not to mention their seemingly-autohit nature. Not sure what our AoE defense was, but ranged/melee were easily over 80% for me most of the time and those things never missed. I'd like to say those nukes from space should be toned down a bit, either in the amount dropped at a time (at least 2, and I think 3) or the unresistible damage portion, that I believe fed off each other doing -res because the intitial hits were only doing 50 - 80 damage to me, and then 3 seconds later they are pushing 200 a tick.

Getting the requirements for Master Of for those is going to take a few more tries, but at least I know what to expect now.

And I hear if you complete either of those with the traditional "Master of" settings, you get level 51.

Sounds like they tried to make it a challenge, heh. Will be interesting to check them out.

With the non-resist damage, I wonder if the Heal/Recharge Alpha slot will be nicer to have for GP than the Cardiac I'm working on now.

I got on a Tin Mage PUG and wow... you really need a balanced team. We had 3 Scrappers, 2 Blasters, a Dom, a Defender, and a Controller, and we made it to the final mish painfully, but just couldn't take out Neuron. The lack of a Tank was a definite issue, as was little to no debuff.

Egads! Can I post yet? What is with the forums???

Anyhow, those were defenitely different, but very fun. I am now leaning towards Tin Mage TF being possibly my favorite TF now.

I still want to try something on getting around that Halberd ground attack. I think a tight group moving in one direction will be better. I died a number of times trying to avoid the attack only to run to a spot where someone just was and get hit by their attack, above or below.

They are a challenge - which I like. They're not your normal stealth & smash TF's (stealth to the end boss, gang up, defeat.) On some level they require a little coordination.

I like 'em

That first mission is one of the most brilliant / fun / exciting missions I've done ever.

That second mission and those unresistable blue stars of death can go DIE IN A FIRE!

i apologize for not making it to the apex, as you guys were starting when i was working on battle maiden in another apex tf (which i got MO on in the first run too which was sweet)

if i knew you were running a tin mage too i would have been up for that definitely as i still need the badges from that one lol
