If I have the latest Beta on my hard drive, can I do the reverse of setting up a Beta install: copy all files over from /CohBeta to /CityOfHeroes, remove the checksum file, and get a faster "download" install time?

Anything I should be careful of destroying when I do this?

It would be a shame if it was just another patch for AE farms . . . Although, I would enjoy a global salvage storage for each paid account of somewhere between 300 to 1,000 capacity, I feel certain the devs won't do that for us, even though it would allow us to spend more time playing the game, and less time jumping from character to character to see which one has the salvage we need. Recently, some common invention salvage on the Black Market and Wentworth's has been going for over 1 million each. If people could store more salvage, perhaps by having the already existing Vault locations as a global salvage storage interface, that would help considerably.
The answer to this problem is the farmers need to use their tix for salvage instead of recipes. Quite a few formerly expensive recipes are going for chump change now while salvage prices are skyrocketing. I've made more inf. selling salvage lately than I have at crafting. That's why I've switched. If others do this everything will even out eventually.

The logic says this COULD work, but the reason it's a beta test is cause it's not quite stable, They have probably fixed some files to be different, so I would recommend just patching like the rest. Besides, having the files isn't going to make 1pm come sooner!

i19 on test has had the monkey fix. They couldn't just fix AE because i19 was holding it up.

What a lovely process that is, eh?

So this publish IS i19 and not just the AE fix.

I'm not complaining, I was able to get another 47 toons up to 50.

Yeah, I think it is i19, because just like it did on beta, it tells me I need to update my graphic card drivers on the login screen, something it didn't do on live before. (something I probably need to really do)

Hmm. Post-patch, and it's not currently displaying a patch level number.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

In contrary to the Server Status message of 4 hours, the in-game message before the update stated 2 hours.
And as of now, ~2 hrs later, I see servers listed as 'unknown'

Smooth... like butter on a bald monkey.

I checked the server status and all of the servers say unknown this normally happens a few minutes before and after the servers come back up. I tried to login and got all the way to the server selection screen. When I clicked on Freedom it kicked me out and said to try a different server. My guess they will be back up momentarily. I'm going to keep trying.

Getting update now. I did notice however that it 'verified' a patch of 182MB or something. IIRC that was the predownload. Now it is still applying, i am sure that a new patch will download. I will assume this is indeed issue 19. And like some of the east coasters having problems with the update going live so late in the day, I will need to goto work soon here in Seattle area. So I doubt I wont be able to do much if anything even if the servers come up before i head out. Oh well... I could always call in sick tomorrow

Far too many hysterians are going to "expect" whatever extreme outlook most satisfies their sense of panic and/or outrage, regardless of any attempted "expectation management". Some things never change.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

Login server is up. Servers are all green and 'up' but when I click on Champion, it says 'No response from this server. Try another server, or try playing this one later.' I will assume that they are doing their internal checks on the live servers.
