Super Hero Squad

I watched an episode of this a few weeks ago, since I am an avowed Marvel Zombie that has to be convinced a Marvel show is simply too terrible to watch before dropping it. Well this show convinced me right away it was droppable, despite a theme song from one of my favorite groups – Nerf Herder.

Then a few days ago I saw an ad that included Thanos. Yes, it was goofy of course, but still Thanos, a character I am a completist (comics, videos, wherever I can find him) for. So I gave SHS another shot. A very skeptical shot, but another nonetheless.

While I was watching with furrowed brow, I felt a mood shift and found myself chuckling. I decided to lighten up and watch it with the same frame of mind as if I were reading an old “What the…?” comic and by the end of the show, I have to say I enjoyed it. I even added it to my TiVo season pass.

Is there anyone else out there willing to admit they like this show?

Until they give us some Deadpool/Widdle Waid goodness, I could care less about the show.

I love the Super Hero Squad Show.

They've been doing a good job in Season 2 with introducing characters from the cosmic universe and the infinity gauntlet. Also liking the Scarlet Witch as the Silver Surfer's replacement, now all they need to do is get rid of Reptil.

My 4 year loves the show. But I dont find myself paying too much attention to it while its on except the part where the Hulk turns into something at the end of the theme.

I lol'd when they poked fun at Wolverine and the ridiculous amount of team ups he's done.

I like baby modok and baby punisher.

It is a strangely addictive show, and does sneak in some very sly humor about things. I noticed a running gag about Iron Man refusing to talk about his failed relationship with She-Hulk, referenced by War Machine (yes, Rhodey!) thusly (bearing in mind it was an 'evil Iron Man but real Iron Man is innocent' story):

Iron Man: How do I know that's really you?
Rhodey: How do I know it's you?
Iron Man: Well, what's something only the real Iron Man would tell you?
Rhodey: Well, you broke up with She-Hulk when you discovered she...
Iron Man: Alright, it's you!

There are sneaky gems like that all the way through...and MARK HAMILL is the voice of the Red Skull! And lord help me...George Takei is Galactus and James Marsters as Mr. Fantastic...I'm sure they do it for young relatives or kids....

i dig this show. which disturbs me since i can't stand Batman:Brave and the Bold. still, let's go Squaddies!
