I'm @Carnifax both sides so it doesn't really matter to me.

In fact when I stopped my EU account and upgraded my latent Trial US one to a full one the first time I logged in I had a 3 month old message from someone who had played the MA mission I'd done EU side (a nice one too)

i see no reason to change my global if we move to the american servers or they merge the lists, whatever. more hypothetical players could be good, but i only have my EU account so it wouldn't affect me tremendously.

edit: looks like it's done!

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Anyone else lost their globals...friends and channels?

If you play on Defiant Server send a tell @Electro Kitty to join The Wonder League SG

Yup, global channels missing and friends lists empty.. I expect they'll drop the servers again soon

Yes globals and channels are not working atm

Sugar buns, sweetie pie, sweet potato fry up... If you only have seen one people attached to their global, you're doing it wrong. There have been some players expressing their dislike towards this most vehemently, me being one of them. From the top of my head I think I recall FFM, Myopic Aardvark and some others express their opinion against it also.

So no, it's not just one person. It's several.

My bad. I saw one recently, stuck in my head. So given the choice of potentially having to have EU attached to your global or not getting a server list merge you would...?

Edit: And I should have know that would happen as soon as I posted that.

...Leave.

Seriously. My Global is my identity and if I lose it, why stay?

But for me, it's not an issue as I own the same global on the US servers, too.

As for people saying they've lost friends etc, they DID say 7pm. It's not 7 yet... Wait for an official announcement that it's up.

Aha.

I THOUGHT my powers were taking a bit longer to activate than usual...

After checking in game and my /netgraph has suddenly gone from its usual steady green 140ms to a steady green 240ms...

Drat.

Wonder if I can find a route with less hops...

Wait.... Are people able to log in? I can't...

I'm getting the following...

Well, DANG!

Ayup; I'm in.

And I know it may be late to say, but for all those who're only reading and haven't logged in yet, the globals appear to be back up.

Yup, I'm able to log in OK (to Defiant at least, on both my accounts).

My ping's still high though.
Currently bouncing between 210 and 250, average is about 235.

The extra delay is noticable, but I can live with it if it means less server huppics.

If you just can't get onto CoX, the chief suspect would probably be a routing issue... Has your 'puter been restarted since the move? Tried resetting the WAN connection already?

If we did then I never saw it.

Some months back War Witch did promise that she was looking at a way for us to interact with all groups - but she said in her post she wasn't sure how it could be made to happen

This may be the first step - but there are other steps that also need to be taken too I'd guess, as others have pointed out.

@Techbot Alpha - I personally feel that changing my global nick would be a very small price to pay for this.

Can someone post up the new IP address for the EU servers? I'll see if I can ping or tracert...

Tried all that, also verified firewall settings in Windows AND my router. All perfect and as they were this morning when I could login.

Therefore, it's clearly a routing issue.

I need that IP...

And the person who somehow had a US version of it on the forums hadnt logged in for years when we had the forum merger. So I'll be willing to fight them off with fire, lasers and death should anyone contest MY name

Hmm, I'm not aware of any issue that could be causing your inability to log in.

If more of you are having that problem, please get in touch with the Customer Support team (via the support platform link in my signature below) so we can get an idea of how widespread this problem is. Make sure to include screenshots of the error messages you get. That would help us tremendously.

We'll get this fixed as soon as possible!

Thank you thank you thank you! Exactly what I needed. I tried a ping and I got back "General Failure", which caused MUCH eye bugging as I've NEVER seen it before!

So I tried to ping from my laptop, that pings. Clearly pointing to a problem with my PC. So I rebooted again, and kicked the router AND the cable modem whilst I was at it.

Am now back in to the game. Clearly, something was not right, and survived a prior restart!

Thanks again, Mael.

Serves as a warning to other kit too.

Drag an old PC into the middle of the server room floor, kick the side panel in and bounce the case off the wall a few times until the CPU Heatsink or the Power Supply Unit falls out. Then point at the tattered remains and yell "Bluescreen at ME will you!?!?".

I guarantee you won't see a single corrupt document or dropped packet for weeks!!
