Hey Liberty, I'm interested in what everyone has to say in response to the following two questions. Please answer honestly, and if you don't want to post a response, feel free to send me a PM or tell in game @hazygreys.

1) Are you interested in seeing regularly scheduled blueside Hami raids? Why/why not?

2) Are you interested in leading Hami raids/a raid team? Why/why not?

Thanks all.

1. Yes, I enjoy teaming & it's an event that brings the server together.

2. Not at the moment, but if we get regular raids scheduled & I have a few under my belt I might try my hand at it.

1) I would be interested, as I can never seem to get to any or never know about them. If they are a regular event, then I might be able to participate sometime.

2) No, I can't lead. I've only ever been involved in two Hammy raids, and am not really familiar with what the process is.

1. Yes. I find the events fun and usually enjoy myself. Regular times will make it easier to get players to join. (Although the times so far have been bad for me, but that's because of baseball commitments which will end in about a month.)

2. I can competently lead yellow taunt and am willing to learn how to lead the other teams. Will need to relearn how to set up the targeting bind.

1) Yep. It's a quick and easy 53 merits with the right teams.
2) Sure but I'd also like to see others lead. I also wouldn't mind playing an emp on one of these. I'm also bringing a permadom or 2 over so that'd be useful to help with the greens as well.

1) Are you interested in seeing regularly scheduled blueside Hami raids? Why/why not?

Yes. Because I like the idea of getting 53 merits in less than an hour.

2) Are you interested in leading Hami raids/a raid team? Why/why not?

No. A couple of reasons. I have a difficult time typing out what to do, where to do when I have to do things with my toon. I'm a hunt and peck typist, and although I can get 30 wpm, with toon activity going on, monitoring battles, etc, it's just not something I would do very well. The other reason is connectivity issues in heavily populated events like hami and MSR. For whatever reason, I get the nap serve followed by d/c. Also, there's a good bit of detail and I haven't learned all of it because of the above 2 reasons.

Edited this in after a days reflection:
I could use binds, I suppose, to compensate for the typing issue. But, there is still a matter of connectivity during high population times. I'm working on this - shopping around for a new MB with memory - although I'd like to salvage the memory in this system, that may be wishful thinking. It's just going to take some time. For now, other expenses have a much higher priority.

1. Yes. I like seeing the server come together.

2. Yes and no. I'm willing to lead a team, but I'd prefer to stick to leading Mothership raids.

1) Yes and No, I like seeing the server comeing together, No I do not like the reduced server size of 50 it just causes the same problem only with a larger effect.

2) Simple answer is the above and being teamed with SG mates.

1) Heck yeah! Errrr.... Yes.

2) I've only taken part in 3 Hami Raids total, and only 2 were successful, so I don't feel confident enough with Hami Raids as a whole to be able to lead even a Hami Raid team.

For those unsure about leading a team, start with leading one of the assault teams. For those it's a matter of getting everyone focused on your target and make sure enough people are throwing holds at the greens. It's not hard.

Yes, to clarify leading a mito team is different than being the raid leader. Mito team leader just needs to have everyone following and attacking the same mito as them. A simple target bind and one to let the team know you are moving to the next one is usually all you need. You only have to herd 7 cats instead of 49.

Binds speed things up a lot. Setting graphics all the way down also helps with lag. And people wearing basic costumes (no capes, auras, wings, animated tails) also helps with the lag.

Is this where someone says reduce your settings to Horus? Yeah, I'm on top of the basic costume - where None is selected every time it's an option. No hair, no cape, no nothing but a plain ...I guess it's a tight jumpsuit. I can't bring myself to call it a leotard.

I was going to call it that, but some people might not have been around for when that was used as the term for setting graphics all the way down.

1. Yes, Hami Raids are a community builder.

2. Me? Lead something? Who would trust me to be a leader of anything?

Sure, I'd take charge where needed, but I do think I am most useful as am empath.

1. Yes. They're a fun community event, and the new version seems easier, now that enough people have learned the new way. BTW, when the devs data mine the time spent on Hami raids, I hope they remember to count the time spent killing monsters to get Hami to spawn.

2. Yes; however: Work calls me away at inconsistent and inopportune times. I'm reluctant to take on a team lead role for something like a Hami raid where not just the members of your own team, but everyone else in the zone might be impacted by my having to leave on short notice.

I would enjoy seeing some rotation among team roles too. I like playing a tank on the yellow taunt team, but it would be nice to occasionally have a shot at Hazy's killing-hit prize too; the yellow team isn't in there hitting Hami at the end (It's the nature of the yellow taunt team - with great responsibility comes great, uh, stuff you have to do).

This is the main reason for the 2nd question. Having more team leaders, over time, will mean more raid leaders. More raid leaders will ultimately mean more raids. Both of those are good things.

You can lead a team on an emp, I've seen it done. Buffing team, making sure they are following and attacking the same thing as you, and using AB on hami tank when it's up.

It involves a lot more concentration than I can muster, but I think you would do it and do it well

1.) Yes. Good rewards for a good time (last one I was on took 40 minutes or so I think). Nice to see coordination/teams (more than a few peeps on).

2.) Yes and no. I wouldn't mind leading a team as long as I knew what exactly I should be doing and when/etc. I'm not a real bossy person but from the 2 times that I've been at a Hami. raid I was on my Scrapper and the person leading the scrapper/yellow mito attack team wasn't bossy so...maybe I could lead that team. *shrugs*

The other reason I say 'no' is because of rl issues/things come up so I'm not sure I'd be available every Sat. night (not an issue for just joining but would be if I'm supposed to lead it).

Yes, anything that brings Liberty together is a good thing IMHO
No, I can't find my way out of a wet paper bag sometimes... :P

1. Yes, I'm all in favor of Libertines getting together and being active, just wish they were at a time when I could be a part of them.

2. I would have no problem leading an assault team, or even a full-on raid, once I've got one or two under my belt. (See above.)

1.) Sure more raids would be great. Not sure I'd join more than one per week, depending on the time, but it would be good for those that may not be able to make one raid to have a chance at others during the week.

2.) I suppose I could lead a mito team, as mentioned it's just a matter of keeping your team on the same target.
