The machine gunners switched over to small arms fire, pistols and submachine guns, firing at the demons that had made it so close. There ammunition wasn’t anything special, just rounds designed to drop men, not saint blessed liquid silver or anything as exotic as that.

Still the men were highly trained, and veterans, they’d keep firing until they ran out of ammo, or they or the demons fell…

B9

The tanks began to reverse, pulling backward to keep the scurrying ferals in optimum range for their main cannon, the secondary machine guns spitting death as the main guns were reloaded, till each rocked a millisecond apart from each other, the three tanks firing in almost unison.

Kraaaaaaaaakkkkk

Thoom!

H3

Rushing like that would almost certainly trigger the devices that the Snipers had left behind, Claymore mines primed to react to quick changes in temperature, exploding and sending forth little balls of silver and iron.

G7

‘Craw! Craw! Craw!’ the flockadiles attack by attempting to bite Patsy, several at once following their leader, their powerful wings flapping as they try to bite firm and rip her apart by flying in opposite directions.

D5

The speaker could be followed, quite easily down into the mine, though there it is likely that the machines would be damage by the massive, constantly fluctuating surges of electricity and magnetism, somewhere down there is a lot of power being used.

B4

The tree canopy ignited, dropping the stolen zombies like melting, wax candles, though clearly it was not the heat that had melted them like wax.

‘Sqqqueeeeeee’

Four large spiders dropped from the canopy, slightly see through their insides pulsed with a slow red light, their eyes glowing too with this light. If this wasn’t bad enough to make an arachnophobic wet his pants, they were each the size of a small car, a mini coupe or beetle.

Scurrying quickly the crystal spiders scatter, heading towards the Courts party in a multi-vectored path.

D5 Within the mine.

The mine was not as deserted as it had originally looked, the passages had been filled with all sorts of nasty surprises, claymores, razor wire covered with coal dust, almost invisible in the darkness but still as sharp as a diamond blade.

Worse still were the dead drops, sections where the floor had been dug down into and filled with toxins or acid or even worse some had been filled with little glass containers that would shatter and release deadly air borne diseases, and spores into the air, lethal within hours.

Beyond all these traps, in the darkest point of the mines is an elevator.

"well, It would seem that all parties, and atleast one unknown, has reached the place of main attention. I see the mine is collapsed, i assume one of Erez'zul's creations. Good, he will not be merciful to the Tomb girl if he finds her. As for you Leon, how can you shame the vampire name by wearing such an outfit into battle? and i do hope, Pious, that you arent going to risk the extermination of a people by being gentle with Tomb?" he said coming into phase with the world around him, a small smirk on his face but his words betraying his serious nature in this game of Tomb's own making.

section D5 was about to be come very interesting, Lucard could tell.

"My suit? Ah, you like it then?" Leon smirked as he stood up. "And, frankly chap, I don't think someone who looks like an anime cosplay reject has any right whatsoever to comment on what I choose to wear. And, honestly, 'Vampire name'? Which one? Bloodsucked, parasite, undead, curse? Take your pick. I'm happy to wait while you figure out the long words," he added, with a patronising little smile.
"In the meantime, though, I do think Maria here had something she wanted to-"

Maria was already airborne, hurling herself at Lucard with blades drawn.
"You're mine, you snarky little rat. I'll show you what it means to be a real vampire, not the lapdog to that stuck up hag!"

Without a second glance, Leon walked down towards the mine, simply stepping on air when the gradient got too steep.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some exploring to do," he said with a cheery wink...before he and Lawrence simply seemed to step through the mass of rubble, leaving the others behind.

C4

The shadows stirred. He could sense fire. Life essence. Bound essences. Power. Intruiging.
He edged a little closer, keeping at a safe distance. Observation was in order, for now. He was in no mood for direct action just yet.

Lucard groaned at Maria and simply side steped her attack. "foolish girl, there is more at stake here than your childish pride! the fate of all vampires, lapdog or free, is in peril because of this girl!". He placed his pistols in their holsters and raised his hands in a sign of peace and surrender. "WE SHOULD NOT BE FIGHTING HERE!".

B9

The ferals sprinted as fast as they could, dodging the explosives and staying under the bullets of the tanks' guns. They easily caught the tanks and slammed into the sides of the two on the outer edges. Both ferals began to pound on their respective target's armour, trying to punch through the side and consume the men within.

His only reward was Maria reversing the nearest side blade in one agile spin of the fingers, before ramming it right through him via the back.
"First off, punk, don't call me girl. Second, I frankly couldn't give a toss about pride. We are here to make a point, and if I have to carve it on your thick skull then so be it!" she snapped. "If anyone here is so proud they should fall, it's you! You think you're invincible. We are going to show you that no one, not even you or your precious Countess, are untouchable.
She leaned backwards, bringing her face into Lucards view with a fanged smile.
"Also, don't worry about the girl. Theres quite enough people on this Island to deal with her five times over, at a rough estimate. Now hold still; I'll make it quick and painful, I promise."

Having flown over a lot of the island and seen a lot of the conflicts in passing Emerald started to grow bored and lonely. Catching Leon's parting words to Lucard she couldn't help but smile and after a moments pause she fluttered down, using the the magic of the amulet gifted to her by her employer to travel through the rubble as well she followed before dispelling the invisibility around her as she came to land. Playfully she took hold of Leon's arm, she'd only met him once, in passing but he seemed the sort to not take offence at the act.

"Would you two like some company for your stroll?" She asked sweetly, offering a smile over to Lawrence.

Having grown bored Kimiko and her robots meandered north towards the sounds of fighting. The young woman seemed to be in no rush however and she walked casually with the metallic forms, quietly talking with them. The robots didn't reply but seemed to nod along and respond appropriately to her words, either holding some sentience or very well programmed to respond to her cues.

Spotting the feral vampires in the port she shook her head a little. "Now that's just no fun. They won't quip while fighting. Looks like we have dome targets to practice on" She told her robotic companions with a low purr.

G7...

Patsy hissed a curse as her uppercut missed the leader and found her fist suddenly under the grip of its jaws. The creature then pulled up, dragging the immortal with it while the rest of them all rushed for a limb.

Not good.

"Ow!" Patsy yelped as the flockadile swung her about, at one point knocking her against a nearby rock. That knocked her for six and left her just a little too dizzy to fight off the rest of them with her remaining free limbs. Anyone else would have been screaming in agony right now as they eventually found their limbs being torn from their sockets, as she would have been were it not her own impervious and unbreakable skin. The main drawback being was that she still felt pain, and boy was she feeling it right now. "Ow ow OOOOOWWWW, DAMMIT! I'm not a flamin' chew-toy, alright!"

Yep, it hurt. Like hell. Considering a bunch of hybrid avian monstrosities were trying their hardest to get their share of their new-found meal, you couldn't really blame her. If it kept up, she was bound to pass out in a matter of minutes. There was, after all, only so much punishment she could take before her own brain yelled "Stuff this!" and shut itself down temporarily.

Not a good thing at all. She needed to stay conscious and she needed to stay alert. Collaring and taking the world's most despicable little brat on the planet out of the picture before anyone else depended on it. And she needed to get the flockadiles out of her hair.

Thinking of how wasn't easy when throbbing pain along all four limbs dominated her own thoughts, but thankfully the first step of her next course of action didn't take much thought.

"I said," Patsy grunted, clenching both fists as she did. "I... am... not... a... CHEW TOY!"

The immortal pulled every last bit of strength she could muster from her aching arms into drawing them both together, one sudden and unexpected action that caught the arm-chompers off-guard somewhat. Before they could react, perhaps compensate by flapping a little harder, both flockadiles found themselves very swiftly crashing whatever-passed-for-a-beak-first into one another, followed by the rest of their bodies.

As soon as those to let go, Patsy fell backward, surprising the two flockadiles that clung onto her legs with their jaws and sending the lot of them tumbling to the ground. Once more, she struck another rock with the back of her own head in the fall, sending herself even dizzier with the exacerbated headache that joined her limbs on the list of things that she really didn't need to be hurting right now.

Thankfully the creatures released their grip on her legs before she tumbled from the rock and face-first into the mud, but that wasn't the end of the ordeal, as Patsy came to realise as she struggled to push herself back up, only to be shoved into the mud again by an unexpected beak-excuse to the back. She barely managed a roll to avoid being 'pecked' again as well as to get her face out of the damned mud before she found herself holding apart another set of jaws that almost managed to clamp around her head.

Now Patsy was getting just a little ticked off. Her limbs ached. Her head was pounding. And to top it all off, large teeth were contributing to her agony by digging into, or at least trying to dig into her palms.

Enough was enough.

"I hate to break it to you, hun, but..." Patsy grunted as her arms slackened a little against the hybrid's jaws. "...I've just gotten meself struck off the menu, so please forward all complaints to Hades, The Devil or whatever flippin' big boss of the afterlife you give a toss abOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUTTTTT!"

At that point she pushed against the jaws again, much harder this time.

...G7

Meanwhile, back at G8...

Wilf stood tall within the circle of runes he'd been spending his time scrawling out. He did not like the sounds coming from the West one bit.

"Miss Crusher," the mage called through the earpiece one more time. "Miss Crusher, please respond. I repeat, please respond!"

No answer.

"This isn't good," he muttered. "Carly?"

"Mmmmyyeeeeeah?" his partner groaned from the comfort of the speedboat's front passenger seat, still somewhat woozy from the force field effort.

"Could you see if we still have the grenade launcher in there?"

Carly remained silent for a moment while she looked about, then returned to holding her palm to her head. "Yyyou worrryyyy too much, uuuuuuuuuuuuh..."

"Really, now?"

"Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh. She'll be fiiiiine, now get on wi- wait, what was I saying again?"

"Carly," Wilf sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "She might not be able to die. She might be able to throw street lights into Rikti dropships to kebab their pilots, but she is not unstoppable, far from it. Now, there could be the possibility right now, that whatever 'big and ugly' thing over there could have taken her down, which really does her mission no wonders at all, does it?"

"Wiiiiilf..." Carly grunted in lazy frustration "It's nooooot going to do uuus much gooooood... if... if... ifffffffffffffffffffffffffff- fudge it.... ifff the ooooonly guuuuuy that can get us oooouut of heeeeeere gets hissssss... errr..."

"Head blown off?" Wilf finished, realising that although Carly was groggier than a morbidly drunken pirate, she did have a point. His organisation could live with a failed mission just this once. It couldn't cope with the loss of its two best operatives. "Okay, fine. But..."

Wilf looked at his mindscrewed partner once more and allowed the smallest of smirks of form on his face.

"You can be the one to explain everything to Corman."

Ye Olde Insidium Mine

Vyachslav grumbled, this time aloud. Though his lack of lings kept it brief and low, the sound of displeasure was audible enough to confer his mood to those in proximity to him.

So much for melting his way down into the mine. Even if he directed the thermocannons as carefully as possible and managed to vaporize all the stone ahead of him instead of turning it to lava, the temperatures inside the mine would still become lethal in seconds. Well, perhaps not to a vampire, but he doubted they'd appreciate bursting into flames. Either way, with them in, the option was out.

He didn't really react to the arrival and actions of those not inside or in front of the mine. While that didn't mean he paid them no mind, they weren't in his way, and therefore not something with which he needed to concern himself. If they wanted to insult and fight one another, he had no problem with that.

What he did see as a problem were those people before him. Not only did they still refuse to clear the way (which at this point was a little moot, but if they'd done so earlier, he could've already been in the mine before the others had entered), but their assumptions were somewhat grating - as was the Priest's attempt to order him around.

Still, the other one had 'spoken' to him via an electronic transmission. This intrigued him. Perhaps there was merit in continuing this after all. With a quick mental command, he figuratively dusted off his EM communications and sent a response to her in the form of a UHF transmission.

'You can tell your friend that I know how your judicial and prison systems do not work.' Big V gave her answer, 'You can also tell him that I know this Tomb is guilty and that his authority here isn't any greater than mine, so if you'd like me to let her live, commanding me to stand down isn't going to you any results. At least not ones you desire.'

'As to you, no.' he directed his response to focus more on Altair than them both, 'No. I'm not a dragon, and I'm not here to relieve any pain by means of personal revenge. I really don't care if I kill this Tomb person so long as she loses and never regains the ability to harm people like she's done. Unfortunately for her, I have more than reasonable doubts that capturing her will result in that. As I said, I know your system is broken. Neither you nor any of your friends can make the guarantee that she won't be able to do more harm, can you...?'

As machines, this may have been true. As an impulse, not so much. The wires they traveled through were wonderfully insulated and completely unaffected by the EM surges - otherwise the signal sent to the speakers around the island would've been disrupted and the music nothing but a bunch of static.

Thus being, they quickly ended up wherever the signal had originated and made their way back into the physical world. Whether this was in a computer, a tape recorder, or something as simple as a microphone, if there was anyone near that point at the moment, they'd likely have been very shocked at the smoke that suddenly began to curl from the thing.

It wasn't really smoke of course, and this was immediately obvious as the wispy cloud of black fumes sank to the floor and billowed across it in a thin haze, constantly thickening and spreading like some sort of dark, creepy fog. What was not obvious however was just what this stuff was. Thus it would've taken some kind of miracle to initiate the proper defense from what its creators called a xenotropically actuated neoscopic virus.

Even then however, if XANV was anything, he was adaptive. He'd been designed to function in just about any sort of environment after all - and that was the question at the moment. As he 'looked' about, in what sort of environment did he find himself...?

"A pleasure, my dear," Leon replied with a wink, chuckling quietly as Lawrence simply rolled his eyes. "Leon DeFeurard, at your service. This is Lawrence, my youngest. I'm ashamed to say I never got your name at the ball," he added with a wry grin, peering over his glasses at her in obvious query.

Lucard grinned at Maria and rasped in a voice that sounded far older than Lucard looked "you still think I work for the Countess...Ha...Elizabeth and her council....young bloods out to prove themselves. Untouchable, for now, but in no way invicible. I have no delusions about what I am, nor who I am Maria. But if we dont work together. Tomb will wipe us all out before sunrise tommorow morning. You hear me. Every vampire, no matter who they are, will be as good as dead by dawn. Thats when she releases the virus." Lucard spluttered as blood rose in his throat.

"you want to kill me? why? because i work for the countess? or because you hate what you are? or maybe because you really do think im so pridefull. But take a look at yourself. Three vampires thinking they can take on the world? how is that any less pridefull than the countess huh?"
He coughed somemore, the blood at his mouth having stopped flowing, now retreating back down into him as he attempts to regenerate and push himself away from Maria.

"you and your family have power Maria. Use it for the betterment of vampires as I do. Do not hinder our return, advance it. Help me bring us back Maria, before its too late"

Old Insidium Mines (D5)

Altair was about to respond to the dragon-like creature when a team of vampires suddenly arrived. She watched on as two of them began mouthing off and then fight. The others then proceeded to magically phase through the wall of rubble and into the mines. "Okay" she said, staring at the wall. "That was random."

"Alright everyone, power the aspects of the pillar embedded in your amulets" Priest began. "We'll teleport to the other side of the blockade. We can't let those vampires find Tomb before we do." One by one the two teams disappeared in a yellow streak of light energy, reappearing again discarded all over the Island.

Edge of South Jungle (F11)

Priest appeared buried under some bushes in the jungle, still clutching at his amulet. He looked around and noticed he was all alone. "Oh no" he sighed, rising to his feet and regathering his bearings. Once reorientated, he headed a little further into the jungle. "Come on Tomb, where are you?" he asked out loud.

Ye Olde Insidium Mine

Vyachslav pondered. But only for a moment. His thought process was rather speedy. Still, it took him longer than usual to contemplate what had just happened - and to a lesser extent, what was happening around him.

Morons.

Well, at least they were gone from the block before the mine shaft, rendering the stuff into 'not much of an obstacle' for him. He had hands, after all. Setting himself into motion forward, he cut power to his wings, the burning-orange 'skins' of energy flickering out of existence, their skeletal fingers then coming together and collapsing into a pair of shorter, much more compact pods that he could tuck against his back.

Having thus reduced his space requirement, Vyachslav swiftly sliced his way through the collapse, walking the tunnel after the vampire trio who'd gone before. Well, perhaps walked wasn't quite the right word. Even more hunched over than normal, his avian structure produced an almost waddle-like gait, neither his feet nor the rest of his body designed for excursions by way of land. While he didn't look uncoordinated, he certainly appeared unwieldy, each step he took reverberating in the floor, walls, and ceiling of the mine...

Nighthunters Base

A hooded and masked female figure exited the base portal and took her first steps into the heroes base. Getting this far hadn't been easy for her and she was sure it wasn't going to get any easier now she'd passed the first hurdle. Moving swiftly and with unearthly grace she dashed forwards listening closely to the muffled footsteps of the rest of her team not far behind her. With light footfalls she bounded an indirect route, perching on tiny ledges and observing the route ahead with faintly glowing red eyes barely visible behind her mask. This had taken a lot of planning, a lot of scrying and now would take a lot of skill and a little luck.

The group pushed past the defences with time and only minimal mishap. Thankfully where errors had occured had been at points where it wouldn't raise an alarm and notify any Nighthunters that may still be in the base. The woman smirked to herself, she didn't expect many to still be here after Tomb's goading, they'd all be out being 'heroes'. Approaching an area that looked like it may have Nighthunters hidden away in side rooms she paused and held up a hand, signalling briefly and clearly to her companions who swiftly secured sleek high-tech rebreathers to their obscured faces. Without looking behind her or bothering to use a rebreather herself, the leader of the group paused for just a brief moment before rolling a spherical, glowing azure gem across the floor. As it came to a stop a mystically conjured pale blue fog started to fill the base.

The sounds of coughing and spluttering let the group know that there was someone left behind in the base, not that it would matter soon, if they were inhaling it they'd soon be unconscious, either from the alchemical properties of the gas or the spell tied to it. Once the gas had completely filled the space the team surged forward, using less care to be quiet and concentrating instead on speed and precision. The group targetted useful magical items and pieces of information easily transportable, small charms were pocketed and books carried. Despite the speed of the assault the place wasn't ransacked, safes, vaults and other securities carefully bypassed rather than forced and items neatly taken under the clearly expert eye of the team's leader.

As quickly as they had arrived the team moved out, the only clue left over their presence the empty spaces where powerful and useful items had once sat and the quiet groans of the people who had been in the base waking up.

Castle Bathory

At the exact moment the other team stepped out of the base portal and into the Nighthunters base a second team walked straight through the door of Castle Bathory as though it weren't even there, the faint flicker of light around them the only clue as to how they'd acheived the feat. Led by a cowled man the second team's movements mirrored the first's their movements cautious, quiet and steady as they pushed deeper into the building. Mishaps with defences occured but despite one member of the team needing to teleport away due to a nasty wound the rest of the team pushed through with only slight reprecussions. They had managed to avoid or disable the bulk of things that may have been an issue, seemingly knowing where all the threats were and ahead lied the heart of the Castle.

The leader of the team gave a single nod and the men and women behind him stopped and waited. Taking a small lilac shard from a pocket he threw it on the ground, the tiny item fragmented upon impact, dissolving away into nothingness. Much like the other leader he was sure that not many, if any, people would be in the Castle at the moment but it was always better safe than sorry. After a moment a small sound surrounded the team, a gentle noise like a distant chime on the wind, letting them know the spell was in effect. Warded from the sight of anyone else in the castle the team surged forward.

As some of his team made their way to the library and others to different rooms throughout the expansive castle the leader made his way directly to the sanctum sanctorum, moving as though he had made the journey countless times and knew it well. Once there he ensured several items were securely bagged and pocketed, alchemical items, the black crystal scrying orb and a couple of potent tomes.

Meeting with the rest of his team in the hallway he gave a nod to the items secured by his companions, especially the potions from the Countess' office carefully secured by one member. And without a word the group disappeared without a trace, seemingly vanishing into thin air.

She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"If by 'return of Vampires' you mean some sort of Evil Empire, I want nothing to do with it. We don't do that sort of thing. S'bloody stereotypical. Politicking, manipulation, backstabbing and intruige? Been normal buisness since ten-sixty-six. But if this mad scientist girl is as much of a threat as you say, then I guess I can save taking an arm off of you till a later date," she added with a pointed little smile.

Scurrying quickly the crystal spiders scatter, heading towards the Courts party in a multi-vectored path.
B5, Jungle Border

Suddenly Jack stopped... and so did his fellow pack members. "Something is wrong...", he growled. And a slow nod from the pack was his ensurance that he sensed it right. "Incoming!!! MOVE, you useless bags of meat!"

But it was too late when the two first spiders reached the end of the row... shots where fired and crystal shards scattered. The zombies who shot where completely overpowered though. Some shots removed some spiders legs... but they where both in p[eaces. Their arms still where attacking and firing... but without eyes their aim was terrible.

Seeing the other two spiders coming in from the flanks made the werewolves go wild. Jack saw the dissolving effect on the zombies and screamed... "Don't get to close to them!" That was not going to work on the first and most eager one. Paul was his name. Young and willing to proove his worth to the pack he jumped a spider with full force ripping it apart. But being so close he got caught with his left arm in the jaws and a howl of pain was heard. "Take them down all.. now!", Jack ordered. For a second he looked at the sky from where they came from and thought he saw a black patch with the countess in the middle. But it was gone fast. A broken off crystalline leg hit him and he remembered that he was in the middle of a fight.

The high pitched squeeee of the spiders still sounded in the air when the battle was over and two almost dissolved zombies and a young werewolf without an arm where left. His regenerative ability had closed the wound fine... but that was all. A grim howl of pain and a determined look was seen on his face. One of the knights picked up the gun and ammo left on the floor. His dead eyes looked at it and re-loaded the thing.

"The plant is around the jungle part... here to the right. Follow me and be careful", Jack said while a few acid marks in his fur where regenerating.

Lucard grimaced as his wound healed over. The woman before him had obviously beencorrupted by her father into thinking all over vampires were egomaniacs seeking world domination, and he had to be gentle in breaking her from this belief.
He said in a calm tone "Maria, pride comes to everyone, even your father. How can you make a point about balance, when you are the ones disturbing that balance? The balance shifts and shifts again to correct it. What you do has no effect on this other than to slow the change."

He floated to the grounds and looked around. He had heard something moving inthe trees but the pain in his side had stopped him from figuring out distance. "I do not seek world domination. Nor to y knowledge does the Countess. She seeks survival and freedom. I seek the return of our people from the darkness. We already have influence in governments, but we do not rule. The Vampiric Empire seeks freedom from persecution, human understanding, and a unity of all vampires, no matter what side or type. I offer the same unity to you Maria, and your family."

Lucard looked around again, he was sure he could hear something out there. "Tomb intends to poisen our food source, humanity. She will release a virus at dawn tommorow which will infect all humans and make them deadly to vampires. without a food source, we will die".

Blade sighed and wiped the spit from his eye. Fine, if the soldier wanted to be like that, there were other methods he could use.

"I see, loyalty. Loyalty to a mad little girl who has fed you to the wolves in an attempt to slate our hunger? You are blind. Now, I dont want to have to shed more blood than is neededhere today, so if I can talk to your commanding officer here, maybe we can reach an agreement. I have money, I can pay your friends to stop firing. But if you refuse then i'll have no choice but to be brutal with them, and you. Im sure they wouldnt stop firing just because your in the way, but i'd be willing to take the chance. Would you?"

Within the Insidium Mines

Destroyer had sealed off the entrance, still running forwards deeper into the mine without really paying attention he set off a claymore.
The explosion hit him hard, bouncing off a wall and hitting the floor with a loud thud, a simple explosion like that wouldnt hurt him, but in an already unstable mine, it could bury him there forever.

He slowly got up, looking around more carefully now, his eyes glowing a brighter red, he saw things much clearer now.
Walking forwards, much more careful this time, he looked around for any obvious traps, unfortunately while doing this he wasnt quite paying attention to the floor beneath him.
His foot dropped down, swinging his arms backwards to balance himself again he looked down, some sort of liquid filled the pit, Destroyer guessed it wouldnt be very healthy to drop into it.

A small hissing sound could be heard before he jumped straight up, clinging to the caves roof he began to crawl along it like some sort of lizard creature.
He stopped briefly when he heard voices behind him, listening carefully he couldnt hear what was being said and so decided to carry on, moving forwards deeper into the mine.

E4

The two demons on the roof didnt have enough time to react to the gunfire, getting hit by a couple of bullets one of the demons grabbed the other, pulling it in front of him like a shield, the demon roared as its body was torn to shreds by the hail of gunfire.

Erez'Zul was able to see through the darkness he had created, he knew his demons werent doing so well, and his own bodyguard, Screecher, wouldnt be able to shield him forever.
He whistled to one of his demonlings, while the other continued to throw fire, the ice demonling ran to him, its tongue flopping out of its mouth like a small dog.
Erez'Zul picked up the demonling, waving his hand over its body and muttering a few words, its skin went blue for a moment before turning back to its natural red.

He stepped back slightly, bringing his right hand with the demonling in it backwards, his left foot moving forwards.
The demonling knew what was coming and started to squeal in fear, but it was too late.
Erez'Zul threw the demonling as hard as he could directly at the roof of the building, it landed with a thud in between the soldiers and the other two demons, managing to stand up for a moment before it suddenly exploded, a strange blue colored fire encompassing the entire rooftop.

There would be a brief moment of darkness over the island as if a cloud had just passed in front of the sun. The more mystically aware characters might feel an ancient presence has passed through the area. The undead might feel a sense that something ‘rejects’ them.

The whole event just lasts a half second, long enough to be noticeable.

G7

With a wet crack the creatures jaw would break, causing it to shriek and flap in desperation to get away, the other creatures alarmed by the pain of one of their own, would scatter, hoping to find easier pray elsewhere.

B9

The moment a hole was breached in one of the tanks, flames would burst out, as the crew plugged the hole with the barrel of a flame thrower, spraying liquid accelerant and flesh melting fire from the breech.

??

The room is circular and domed, the walls are covered in little silver balls, the signal having ended at a server box. A small amount of black sand lays near the box, broken down obsidian and evidence of some ended spell. In the centre of the room is a vast marble sculpture of Vulcan, in front of the statue is a red button. There are no visible exits or entrances to the room.

B5

As each of the crystal spiders are broken, they do so with splashes of potent acid.

More conventional traps litter the way south, claymores, spike traps, bear traps and falling spiked logs, treated with moss and water to mask their smells.

The mercenary laughed “Do you have enough money to pay us for the rest of our lives, our children’s lives, our children’s children’s lives?”

“We fight for money, and to do so our word needs to be worth its weight in gold, if we were to accept your bribe, we would never work again, our names would be blacklisted.”

“You think I am afraid to die? Everyone pays the butcher eventually.”

D5 Within the mine.

Deeper within the mines the darkness increases, parts of the shaft are in total darkness, others are illuminated with lighting that flickers and sparks as if water has gotten into the bulb sockets. Deeper still is a an elevator, a rough yellow painted metal plate surrounded by wire mesh.

With the machine gunners taken care of, the plant lies apparently undefended, with no visible workers or guards around.

Brawling Cactus from a distant planet.

The two Ferals quickly learned to draw their fists back after punching a hole. They wouldnt give up easily however, and continued to rip the tants apart piece by piece. Each time they made a hole they would move away and begin to attack elsewhere. It is apparent they will keep this up until the tanks are scrap and they can reach the interior of the tanks with out the threat of fire.

Their third brother continues to chase down and feast on what little remains of the docks inhabitants, unconcerned by the noise from the tanks.

Three kilometer above Elizabeth stopped in her tracks. Vladimir looked worried and the rest of her 'servants' had a scared look on their usually emotion-free faces. Elizabeth didn't like what she felt in what to her seems like an eternity. It was like she was watched... and judged at the same time. And it was not something she recognised.

Then it suddenly went away... the feeling and the darkness. Was it something Tomb arranged? She needed answers and the little girl might have them. Her eyes followed the jungle and looked over the island. There where lights in the ghost-town on the far edge... and some commotion on a hill. But where to go to find the lil' bratt!?

B5, Jungle border

The commotion was great... Jack tried to organise the whole thing. But some of the zombie platoon where only staring up to the darkness that was passing.

The more active ones had damaged skin... even the older ones who's skin was almost as hard as dried leather. Jack undid his tank fast to check for damages... But his seemed fine. They had to be careful as there where only two flamethrowers.

B6, Following the Main Road

Quickly they ran round the jungle border more inland... But maybe a bit too quick as the wolf senses missed a wooden trap shooting spikes. Paul cursed... wood... that was something they couldn't smell out. Not as easy at least as the explosives in the claymores they passed. The first wolf was hit in his chest hard... several deep wounds. If he was a vampire he would be dead by now. Instead Jack descided to hold up here for another hour. The wolf his regenerative ability would kick in and he would be out of immediate danger then.

The road looked like a way to travel faster. but that would have too many traps on them. Following it a few meters next to it would be way smarter. So that is what they did... It would end up at the plant anyway according to ancient old signs. And that was the most likely place for a viral storage. The mountain domed up over the undead platoon.

Maria snorted, removing her mirrored glasses as she did so. Her look made it plain she was still convinced Lucard was a rambling idiot.
"'Return of our people from the darkness'? Did you ever suffer mental trauma that never healed right?" she asked, arching a pristine eyebrow. "Vampires are darkness. Undead. Bloodsuckers. Nosferatu. All that gothic horror schtick exists for a reason; because a lot of it is true. It's also true about just how idiotic a vampiric Empire would be. Unless you Americans are somewho different, organising vampires has always been like herding cats, except without the common courtesy and loving and caring." The last words were added with acid sarcasm. "Your Countess, or whatever master you claim to serve, can pontificate all they want. But I can also guarentee that they or any other vampiric lieutenants they have will have little to no qualms about stabbing you in the back, literally, when the fancy takes them. Believe me; I studied my own particular brand of politics in Renaisance Italy."

She looked up, wincing for a moment as some sort of shadow briefly darkened the sky, a frown creasing her brow momentarily.
"Besides, I'm hardly going to explain what our notion of balance is, am I?" she continued after a moment. "And, before you get any ideas, my version is distinctly different from my fathers. I'm loyal to him due to choice, love and, when all is said and done, blood. But my mind is my own. And you, for one, will not change it. Now; are we quite done with the chin-wagging, or are we going to go after this little mad science and her freakish formula?"

Underground;

Leon broke pace just for a step, glancing upward with a visible frown. Lawrence's right arm twitched involuntarily, causing him to rest his left against it, glancing askance at his father, who's only response was a shrug. Whatever had just occured outside was an unknown quantity...for now.
