Old Insidium Plant (E4)

Following the directions Damsel was relaying to him over his amulet, Priest turned a corner into another room and followed through a narrow corridor that lead to an open elevator. He peered down, wondering what had happened to the lift. At the bottom he locked eyes with the woman he'd seen earlier brandishing rockets. He noticed the shaft was small in size, a fairly deep hole in the ground barely wide enough to hold four people. Slowly, he floated down to the woman.

"Nice fireworks" he complimented, landing on the lift and peeling off the emergency exit hatch. "What exactly do you plan on doing with it?"

Patsy cursed under her breath when she realised she had been spotted. Stealth wasn't her strongest of suits, after all.

"Well," Patsy sighed in response to Priest's question, folding her arms casually as she watched him work his magic on the hatch. "I'd say I'd cross that bridge when I come to it, but to be quite flamin' honest, I'm not sure where the bridges are right now or what they look like."

The rockets impacted with the building, sending a wave of energy and fire into the building, leaving a large hole in the east wall where they impacted. The lance could be seen clearly through the hole as it moved closer, almost upon the building, ready to begin sheering into it with its massive katana blades.

Beneath the Old Insidium Plant (E4)

Priest had jumped down into the elevator and forced open the doors when the walls began to shake. He felt the shockwave and the sudden heat and registered something big had happened back at the plant. He looked skyward and held up his arms to the rocket-girl offering to carry her down. As he did so, he sent a message to his team-mates above via the Nighthunter's amulet.

"Tyran please report" he asked. "Did the Court attack? Sorry I can't come back and help, but it seems my wife is pinned down in an arena hidden beneath this plant. It sounds strange I know, but nothing on this Island has made much sense so far. I have to reach her. Can you handle the situation alone?"

Below the plant (E4)...

Patsy staggered forward as soon as she felt the blast shake the whole plant, only managing to stop herself short of dropping into the lift by planting her forward foot down, denting the roof of the box just a little.

"What the flamin' hell now?" the immortal ranted, looking up to the shaft and the open doors.

She didn't dwell on the matter too long, though. As soon as she noticed that all fiery hell had broken look on the surface, she didn't think twice about dropping down into lift, but not before lowering the rockets and the grenade launcher down into Priest's arms to hold while she dropped down into the box with a light thud upon landing.

"Cheers, hun." Patsy thanked the man with a smirk as she collected her stuff from him. "You're a star."

"No problem" said Priest, handing over the woman's odd choice of weapons. He exited into the room with the four doors and purple column and then turned to the lady. "I'll be honest with you. I'm not sure what's beyond these doors but my wife's inside this one here. She's in trouble and its up to me to save her. I didn't catch your name, but I think this is where we part. Be careful with those there candles" he warned, before turning towards the Northward doors.

Silently he hoped the woman would give her name or something he could follow up on.

"Uh-huh."

Patsy simply looked on as the strange man walked off, preferring to keep her trap shut where her name was concerned. As polite as the man seemed, she had not a single idea as to what his own motives were for being here.

Only when he had gained enough distance between them, did she consider stepping out of the lift, finding herself confronted by each of the four doors.

"Great," the immortal sighed. "Looks like I'm gonna need to flip a couple of coins."

Beneath the Old Insidium Plant (E4)

Priest walked up to the Northward doors and waited patiently for it to slide open.

Nothing.

He waited a little longer, waving his arms to trigger whatever sensors might have been fitted there.

Nothing.

He sighed defeated and sent a message to his wife over the amulet. "I'm locked out. But you don't need me. You can do it, go with the Crey's Folly strategy, alright? I'll be waiting for you right here by the doors. Although there's another situation in the plant above. Either way, I won't be too far away. Stay in touch" he finished, before having a worrying afterthought. "I love you" he added solemnly, before heading back up through the elevator to help Tyran Gar.

Tyran let out a single breath.

"Such is the impatience of youth"

Tyran looked over the Court's members, his face hiding his desire to simply kill them while no-one could bare witness. For now, the agreement stood until the opportunity presented itself again. He face suddenly turned pensive, head turning to the east wall, ears twitching slightly.

"GET DOWN!"

Tyran dropped down to the floor an instant before...

Tyran brushed off the rubble now covering him and looked out at the monstrosity heading to the building. He picked himself up, drew out his swords and charged at the enitity with a feral roar.

Electricty crackled along the Lance's armour and up its Katana. It's sensor detected Tyran's attack, choosing to ignore it and bring its katana around to clear more of the building away, the electrified blades slicing through the metal with ease, leaving two long gashes in what remained of the east wall.

Old Insidium Plant (E4)

Priest had flown back up through the elevator shaft and reached the plant. He followed the sounds of battle and trail of fire to the East wall where he noticed a giant robot/golem(?) slicing away at the building. He stood there on the inside part of the wall and watched the monstrosity, trying to identify it's motives. "Tyran, lets focus on disarming those rockets" said Priest, thinking through his amulet. "Slice off its shoulder mounts. I'll check to see if it's manned." With that, Priest heated his eyes again and sent a direct volley of x-ray radiation at the thing, attempting to look through it at it's inner workings.

Were there any persons within? An obvious mechanical weakness? Manufacturer's product/model data or company logos?

If he could've raised an eyebrow, Vyachslav would've done so right about now. As it was, he performed the mental equivalent. It was always amazing what these 'metahumans' would throw themselves at. Not that he underestimated Destroyer, that was. He knew only too well that the usually frail little creatures of this planet could exhibit might enough to challenge him on even footing. Better not to dawdle.

As Destroyer leaped, his intended target snapped about, Vyachslav's free arm already brandishing the large dual barrels of energy artillery above its wrist. He didn't even have to change settings this time, the combi-cannon still operating as a heavy paralyzer; a nonlethal, direct-fire energy weapon whose bolt could've laid out a raging bull elephant for a decent few hours. It directly affected the target's motoric musculature, leaving struck victims awake and fully aware, but utterly unable to move. Unfortunately, at least when dealing with 'tanker' type heroes and their related sorts, the weapon was often not quite so effective, dealing the target a sharp lash more akin to a psychic scream - a really, really vicious one, but not something that tended to knock the resilient types flat with just one application.

Good thing the weapon had dual barrels.

With a resounding clap that resembled a mixture of gunshot and whipcrack, the cone of unseen energies surged at Destroyer faster than any projectile could ever hope, attempting to waylay him with enough shock to take the fight out of him...

The Human Memorial Museum floated listlessly upon the waves. Apart from serving as an electronic warfare platform, it didn't have much to do right now, and thus to the untrained observer didn't appear to be doing anything at all. The active antennae, open dishes, and sensor bars in rotation, however, told a very different story.

Something large had landed near the eastern cliff, around Sector F11. Something else that fit the term was using an unusual amount of heavy weaponry near the old Insiduim plant. Correction - what had been the old Insidum plant. Judging by those readings, the structure seemed to be on its way out.

But was this important? The vessel calculated. The results looked promising. Enough to investigate, at least.

With a churned gurgle, the ship's main compressors started up again, turning the vessel due east. It quickly picked up speed after that, at it probably wouldn't be long before the US Army helicarrier picked the thing up. It wasn't making any effort to hide, after all.

At the same time, a trio of small hatches came open on starboard, blasting three small objects high into the sky with a staggered cannonade. Anybody with sufficient decent binoculars and a general knowledge of the Rogue Isles would quickly recognize just what had been shot off there.

Three crates of thick metal - the same sort that tended to carry battle drones...

Beneath the Old Insidium Plant, North Arena (E4)

"Yeah, I was afraid that might happen" replied Damsel, communicating through her amulet. "The way the doors slid shut earlier, it did sounds very much like a locking system. Oh well. I'll execute the plan on my own. Finger's crossed" she finished before having a worrying afterthought. "Oh and er... I love you too."

With that said, the little woman floated up into the air and began swirling her arms in slow circular motions. Somehow all the ambient energy contained within the room began to flow into and through her. As she energized, her power returned to her. She continued to steal the environmental energy and eventually the room temperature began to drop. As the air cooled beyond 32 °C, Damsel expected her opponent to to begin suffering mild hypothermia, shivering with sympathetic nervous system excitation and hypertension, typical physiological responses of the human body trying to preserve heat. Beyond 30 °C, Damsel expected violent shivering, muscle mis-coordination, slow and laboured movement, stumbling speech and mild mental confusion. His body may try to focus its remaining resources on keeping the vital organs warm, so skin becoming pale, lips, ears, fingers and toes becoming blue.

As the air cooled beyond 20 °C, Damsel expected her opponent to undergo severe difficulty in speaking, sluggish thinking, inability to use hands and feet and possible amnesia. For her own entertainment, she hoped her victim would exhibit incoherent behaviours of severe hypothermia such as terminal burrowing while in a stupor and paradoxical undressing, usually caused by overworked muscles becoming exhausted and relaxed, leading to a sudden surge of blood to the extremities, fooling the victim into feeling overheated, and thus discarding clothing.

As the air cools beyond 0 °C, ice finally begins to form, encasing the arena with glistening ice crystals. Damsel fully expected her opponent's pulse and respiration rates to decrease significantly as major organs fail. Usually at this point, clinical death occurs. However, she presumed this rock-based metahuman would be far more resilient than that, so she continued her area of effect ice-based attack, with ever-rising severity. Hovering there in the air, an aura of cold winds now circulated her body, shards of ice protruding from her joints that caused her to look fearsome and inhuman. Her eyes fired up and began to glow white as snow, a thundercloud seemingly forming above her. "Listen to me Oxy-moron" she taunted with an echo in her voice. "This here girl is too cool for a fool so you aint touching this. There won't be no wrestling. Give up. Pass out in your human state or be recrystallized and shattered in your rock-form. Hm?"

Within the Lance was what looked like a crumbled body, hooked into the machines mechanics. Wires and tubes flow into and out from the body to the machine. The man, for the body is visibly male, appears to have also been weilded into the armour, with only his front half visible from this angle, it was impossible to tell for sure.

On the front of the armour there appears to be no structural weaknesses, the armour having been put together with the pure thought of making it impenetrable to attack.

The only distinguishing mark on the Lance's armour was on its arm, a large green T.

As Pious looked at the Lance, the monstrous entity let out a booming call. "Hostile Threat Detected. Strike with the Scorpian's Sting!". It follows this with a sudden swipe with both swords once more into the building, directly towards Pious' position.

D5, With the Vampires

Emerald had kept uncharacteristically quiet throughout the movements through the tunnels and towards the elavator shaft. Her greeting to Lucard had been a simple smile and a nod, far from her regular abundance of affection and cheer for those she knew well. She'd listened to all of the vampires and knew that something important to them as a species was happening and felt like she shouldn't be distracting them any more than her unexpected presence already had.

That hadn't stopped her returning Leon's smiles however. Despite how serious the situation was she couldn't help but find some fun and excitement in the whole situation. Squeezing Leon's hand she finally spoke up "...if all of this might not be safe for you... is there anything I can do to help?"

“You may think that I am a moron!” the wrestler grunts in the cold “But I know many things!”

Some of the rocks began t o split from the rapid cooling, their cracks perhaps just a momentary distraction from the sound of sand rubbing on sand, against rock and against metal. The sand at first began to jump before it rose into the air, rubbing and spinning in circles as the room began to fill with a sand storm, a counter source of heat rising to battle Damsels chill.

The bird man falls back, just as the sonic bursts rip his wings, he plummets head first to the floor, where he jerks and flops several times, before falling still.

The room lights up, the electricity stops, a small panel in the roof opens up and a plastic box attached to a length of chain drops down near the enterance, within the clear box is a disc, smooth on one side with puzzle like notches on the upper half, it’s an inch thick and has the letter ‘S’ engraved on the side.

Several patches of the water bulge up, either side of the bridge, before from the upper north west corner of the room a bullet of water fire, shaped like a cannon ball it would have the same level of impact.

The building threatens to crumble at any moment as several load bearing walls and structures collapse. Below this would send echoes and dust falling from the roof.

D5 Tunnels

The area would indeed smell as if Tomb has been here, Tomb and many other humans, though the scent is several hours old, and with the disturbances caused by Destroyer and Vyachslav its almost impossible to tell whether the strongest scent is one heading deeper or out of the mines.

D5 Labs

The porcine ape, looks confused, before it bellows and beats its fists against its chest, picking up another crate it tosses it at Vyachslav as it gets more and more irate with the intruders.

The sky close to the island is filled with a hellish thunderstorm, ash and rock dust rub against each other filling the choking black clouds with intense displays of lightning that causes molten bits of glass to fall like rain water.

"These ferals are beyond saving boys. Aim for thier heads and hearts and kill them" Miranda shouted while aiming for the nearest ferals head and letting off two shots from her pistols.

E4 East Room

Seeing her projectiles being deflected by the intense heat shield the girl stops firing them. Instead, she swiftly takes up into the air, floating high above her opponent. The heat of the room slowly getting to her, causing her to pull off her mask to breathe easier, her face flustered but still partly covered with her big red goggles. The figure curls up in the air, her protective shield flickers once and disappears but is quickly replaced by a slowly expanding psychic field, very much similar to the one she used back in the city. As the field fills the room, it feels more difficult to move, its strongest effect being directly around the girl. The field causes the air to put up more resistance, like water, then like tar and more, increasing in pulses. The girl smiled slightly in her efforts, hoping that the field will be enough to stop the Jaguar, and that it’ll expand fast enough before she receives another powerful blow.

Slowly he pulled himself up. Shrugging off some of the rubble and quickly looked around. The other werewolves had been in time. Their senses and reflexes sharp and fast enough to respond. But the zombies had been way too slow. Some where trapped and a few where damaged.

The one with the flamethrower looked ok. "Use that darkblast of you to free the others!", he growled to it. A wave to his small pack of four was enough to signal that they would help in the attack.

"Take that thing down!", he said while already attacking claws in front and a wild look in his eyes.

He jumped up high trying to disable the weapons... Paul was keeping low. The loss of his arm effected his balance. So he kept trying to hit the 'thing' off-balance.

E4, Below the plant...

Patsy glanced upward, where all the racket came from, squinting as a few specks of dust threatened to get into her eyes. The immortal the place her hands on her hips as she let out a midly irritated sigh, then stormed over to the lift to shout upward:

"WILL YOU LOT KEEP IT DOWN UP THERE? I'M TRYIN' TO THINK HERE!!"

Satisfied that the message should have been received, Patsy then turned her attention to the very door the strangely polite man had previously attempted. Approaching it answered her first question: It wasn't going to slide or swing open just for her.

She tried knocking, as futile as it seemed, and she was soon proven right. No answer. Worth a try, though, she thought to herself.

Patsy turned away from the door, giving the rest of the room a quick glance around, before swinging back to the door, lifting her foot up to deal the door an FBI-style, if somewhat superpowered in comparison, boot where it mattered.

...E4, Below the plant.

Meanwhile, over at E1...

"Dammit," Wilf barked, looking up in the general direction of the new noises due North. "What the hell is going -on- over there?"

"Wilf!" Carly whined to her partner, who turned to find her looking up at the sky, her face white as a sheet and bearing the expression of a woman who had seen her own slow and painful death. "I don't know about you, but we could really do with an umbrella field right now and I haven't recovered enough power to keep one up longer than a second!"

Wilf looked up at the sky too, noticing the beginnings of the nightmare weather they were both about to face.

"Oh my." The mage muttered, running a hand over his corn rows as he watched the thunderstorms form. "Alright, I may have enough power left over from the gate. Draw it from me and it should help you keep a field up for long enough."

"Okay," Carly muttered, taking Wilf's hand while extending her free hand above her head, the initial signs of a weak force field forming above them. "I won't need as much as I used getting across those rocks, I think."

Beneath the Old Insidium Plant, North Arena (E4)

Watching the wrestler's rock-hard armour crack but still resist her attacks frustrated Damsel greatly. She gritted her teeth and began spinning angrily in the air with incredible speed, collecting the cold winds around her and allowing the sandstorm to heat it up until the spinning wet winds grew into a massive hurricane.

Cyclones usually strengthen when evaporated water is released upwards. The hot sandstorm melting up the iced arena was literally feeding Damsel's hurricane. The saturated air rose within it, resulting in the condensation of water vapour, causing small droplets of rain. As both sandstorm and hurricane pitted battle, the thunderstorm forming behind Damsel blossomed inside the extreme weather and bolted down earth-shattering lightning, influenced to strike the iced Golem.

All the while, the building shook. Damsel could tell as several load bearing walls and structures up in the plant collapsed, sending echoes and dust falling from the roof. The storms of sand, ice and lightning would also probably be noticeable from outside the arena door, which by the sounds of it, was being struck at.

Screecher looked around, he was honestly surprised by what had just happened, shocked even.
Destroyer was practically invulnerable, Reaper was one of the most skilled martial artists around, of all the triplets, Screecher was physically the weakest, in a prolonged battle on his own he wouldnt have lasted long at all.

As a chain with a box on the end dropped from the roof. Screecher had another look at the bird man, wondering whether he really was defeated or just playing dead.
After a moment or two he was pretty sure the bird man was dead, grabbing the key inside the box he quickly hurried for the exit, hoping nothing else was waiting for him.

E4 West

Erez'Zul had little time to react as the water flew at him, a dark electrical aura encompassed him as the liquid hit him with the same force as a cannon ball.
As it impacted his body, his shield vanished, the water hitting him too hard and fast for him to defend himself properly.

He was knocked down hard on the floor, coughing and spluttering before screaming out in pain, the water having been boiled only seconds ago by himself, his own move used against him.
His hands shook as he struggled to regain himself, pushing past the pain he stood up again, trying to find the source of the attack.
Becoming more than a little impatient, his eyes went jet black, the illusion he had used to fool Damsel quickly vanished, his blonde hair becoming dark red again, a cape seemingly erupting from his back, blades bursting from his wrists.

He looked like himself again, and so it was time to start acting like himself again.
Holding his hands up, dark energy began to form around his hands, a howl sounding through the room as tentacles slithered out from the walls, ready to grab anyone that might be close to them.

Destroyer was hit hard by the shot from Vyachslav's cannons, doing a backflip before hitting the floor with a thud.
His body flopped down as if it was under someone elses control, he managed to clench his fists, his eyes glowing a bright red, shining once more like a flashlight.
He punched the floor, his anger was building, whatever had hit him was trying to take away his control, and there was only one thing Destroyer knew how to do when he lost control. Destroy.

He punched the floor again, creating a large crack stretching across either side of him.
He brought both of his fists up then slammed them down hard, severely cracking the floor around Destroyer.
He punched through the concrete beneath him, pulling the rock upwards until he had a large slab of concrete in his hands.
He aimed at Vyachslav, throwing the rock directly at him, picking up two smaller pieces of concrete he threw them like baseballs, right at Vyachslav.

With this he ran towards the red orbs, picking up a couple and throwing them at the components for making low yield explosives, hoping to start a reaction.

"There's a seemingly comatose man welded within the machine Tyran" said Priest, communicating through his amulet. "And no mechanical weaknesses as far as I can see. I do have one idea that might work thou-" he continued, but his thought message was suddenly cut short. Two large electrified katana blades had just sliced through the wall and left an open gash through the Priest's armour and his chest. He escaped the attack path and retreated into a nearby shadow before commencing to heal himself once again, drawing raw mineral energy from the very Earth was resting against. He rested, watching Tyran's feral attack.
