And before anybody says "not appropriate for these boards" I will point out that this is in the "Comic and Hero/Villain Culture". And he was one of my favorite comics!!

Wow... I'm in shock. I never would have guessed he had a drug problem.

Another really good comedian dies way too early. He may not have been as original as someone like Mitch Hedburg... but he always made me laugh. Damn shame...

may not have been a drug problem, may have just been a very stupid, very costly mistake. the article mentions it was due to an accidental overdose of prescription meds. this sucks a lot, man was damn funny. i look forward to all the inappropriate jokes about him at the next roast.

R.I.P. Greg.

It was accidental, but Greg did have his demons, (like a lot of the really good comedians) talked about it last time he was on the Opie and Anthony show. He was talking about how he'd managed to get a handle on em for the most part...

It's one thing when someone passes on after having realized their potential and made the impression on popular culture that they seem to be meant to make. George Carlin, for example. It's a sadder thing when someone with Giraldo's talent passes on before they're able to make that kind of splash. I really think he could have been huge if he'd just had more time. Sad stuff.
