As for your next vid, i've REALLY been looking forward to CoHell, but IF you can get Leandro to do the voice over for Mr. G in "TMIMIP", then yes, yes, GOD YES do that!

Excellent well done - as usual!



My vote goes for Game On - TMIMIP seems to be leading, but really it may only interest people that know the game - the references wont really be interesting to anyone else.

Game On will "grow the brand" and create more interest in CoH like Avatar did.

I know there is mass praise on this, and it is very well done, but the pacing of the cuts before the quote is just too quick. My eyes have hardly anytime to really take in the image and then it's gone. Unless I missed it, there was no mention of Ultra mode either. Granted, the graphics in the video were good enough to show that the game wasn't lacking in that department.

Um, I featured Ultra Mode right off the bat when it was released with Issue 17 in my trailer for that issue, so I didn't really need to do it again here.

That would be a shot of GLaDOS from Portal at a very close range, likely taken with noclip enabled for a good position and stability in the air while snapping the image.

The lines below the image are the first three lines of the song 'Still Alive' which was written specifically for Portal's end credits by none other than Johnathan Coulton, he of Re: Your Brains fame.

On topic: I'm so sharing that video with as many of my Steam friends as possible. With GR:CC available on Steam, it may just get some of them to try it.

Awesome video as always. The only thing that stuck out to me though, was at 1:30ish. I never realized how, um, personal a character gets with their demons...

As for the next video, I vote for MIMIP, but only if you can get Leandro, he'd be perfect. If you can't, then Game On would be the second best choice imo.

Very nice video D_R, excellent as always! I especially liked the music, and the way you captured the Praetorian locations and characters.

My one extremely minor nitpick is that you spelled the name of issue 18 differently than the devs. You used the British spelling (grey) in your video, while they have been using the American spelling (gray) on the official material.

Your profile says you're from Seattle, but maybe you've been hanging out with Lady Grey a lot.

No, I'm just an American who's almost always used the British spellings for a lot of things (colours, theatres, etc, but I draw the line at aluminium). I don't know when I got into the habit, but it's stuck.



And thanks for the latest round of well-wishes! My vid is still collecting hits on YouTube (hopefully for a good long while)... I have this dense hope that maybe a potential employer will see it - at the very least, I'm hoping it's good enough to put in my demo reel.

Actually... umm... I've been giving serious thought to focusing on music videos, parodies, etc, and actual storyline vids, and umm...

... not making trailers for the game anymore.

I mean, look at the GR trailer they did (and not the CGI one) - it was really, really good! Good music, it covered all the bases, gave a good flavour of the game (there's that British spelling again). And the exposure my videos give the game isn't nearly as widespread - the devs post a video, and within 24 hours it's everywhere. So my videos are sort of redundant, when you think about it. Don't get me wrong, I still love doing them - I just feel... kinda extraneous.
