Let's keep the people of the Etoile Isles in our prayers
No prayers needed, as always SCIENCE! will save the day. Break out the old weather machine and let's ramp that badboy up to a Category 5 before we force it to make landfall in Paragon.
Why stop at Category 5? Saffir and Simpson were like cave slugs - slimy and without vision. They called me mad when I proposed Category 6! Said it was impossible, that no storm could ever be that powerful. But when I looked at the Great Red Spot of Jupiter I knew it could be done! They said my Non-Euclidian Astraoscillator Interface went too far, but I'll show them, I'll show them all!
"I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are the good people and the bad people. You're wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides." Lord Vetinari, Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett.
According to the official history, the Isles are only 20 to 50 miles off the coast. That cluster is more like 70 to 100 miles off the coast. However, I think it's more likely that the isles are much closer to the Cape Cod area, which means they're like a larger version of Nantucket, and still right in the crosshairs.
Edit: Also, at the point where you have the islands, it's a cat 2, weakening to a cat 1.
Two replies, and no mention of a coming storm or a hurricane improving the look of the Rogue isles?

It must be the work of Longbow Storm Wardens and Vigilante Storm defenders and controllers.
Man, I might be a straight hero but I gotta hand it to them, they know how to go biblical.

See! I told you this would happen! Side switching has finally tipped the amount of storm summoners in the Isles above the critical point!
They're largely used to the constant and regular summer onslaught, but you can be sure the slums will be the hardest hit. I'm sure Recluse will enjoy the view from his fortified tower, though.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Gragh. I wish forecasts would make up their mind. One weather site says I can expect the storm to hit Saturday morning. The path listed above says Sunday night. That's a hell of a swing.

Sometime late Friday night the wall of Earl will go directly over the islands. It should hopefully have transitioned from a Category 3 to a Category 2 Hurricane by then.
