Kick-*** Sequel

No, a Sequel hasn't been announced. However, those of us who've seen Kick-*** know one is eventually. The way they ended Kick-*** made one thing very clear. *spoiler*Red-Mist is gonna become the Kick-*** Unverse's first 'super' villain*spoiler*.

With that said, what do you guys believe will happen in the Sequel? Because those of us who've seen the movie know that *spoiler*Kick-*** stopped being a superher*spoiler*. Who do you think will be returning? Who do you believe will be the main focus of the story? Am I the only one who thinks Hit-Girl might have a crush on Kick-***?

So, share your opinions.

EDIT: Bloody Heck...they blocked the word ***...even if used in the title of a legitimate move, Kick-***. D:<

Well seeing as there are no more books in the story, where they go and how they do it is anyone's guess. I didn't really care for the movie version but I do understand some things had to change for the movie audience (I guess), but I'm really afraid to see where they would take the sequel without any real blueprint to follow.

Watch the blu-ray extras. The creator says he wants to do more 3 volumes. And quite frankly you can't really have a story called Kick *** after the name of the main char... and not have him in 3/4 of the story. That means 4 movies... 3 sequels.

Eh, I'm kind of mixed on the idea of sequels to this movie. I did enjoy it and it was obvious they set it up to do sequels but somehow part of what made it work was the unique "charm" of it. Now that all the characters are established the novelty of their "origin story" is over.

I'm not suggesting a sequel to this movie will automatically suck. But just as importantly I don't think there's any guarantee a sequel to this movie -wouldn't- suck. This can quite literally go either way at this point because there's no obvious direction which way the story should lead.

Before you state that the sequel hasn't been announced it might be a good idea to check if it has been announced or not.

"Kick Donkey II: Balls to the wall" is currently listed as in production and scheduled for a 2012 release.

I also believe they are adding more to the comic. The reason the movie didn't follow the comic as much is because the movie was being done before the comic was finished.

I finally got around to watching this the other night and didn't enjoy it as much as I'd expected. It was fun, just somewhat lighter than I thought.

Defendor was more like what I thought this movie would be like, just more comic book inspired. All the same, Big Daddy and Hitgirl rocked!!

Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard

Yeah the second comic mini is ready to be released very soon. I see it in the Marvel previews for the last couple months. Also it was known once the film was out there was a comic and movie sequel. They were planning on making a Trilogy out of it.

It's called Kick-*** 2: Balls to the Wall. Knowing Millar, it will be completely underwhelming then someone will make it into a good movie.

It's certainly gonna be interesting. I wonder how they'll handle the differences going into the sequel. I mean he didn't get the girl in the comic so wouldn't that likely have a big impact on the story between the two?

I loved the first movie, and I think it is much better than the comic book. I hope they do a sequel, and it also is really good.

I thought that forum go a remove. I said I was considering it, I was just very emotionally overwhelmed. -_-; I tend to get suicidal whenever a girl dumps me. Nothing biggy, I just have emotional and relationship issues.

They could say that he lost the girl between the two films?

enjoyed the first movie, though some of Hit-Girl's swearing just sounded really out of place...regardless I'll check out the sequel.

Well, him not getting the girl was to fill Millar racism quota for the story. Every time they talk about her new boyfriend, a jerk, they always call him her "black boyfriend". Like in Wanted, when anyone talked about Wesley's boss, a *****, they always called her his "African-American boss".

His original stories seem to revolve around a "**** you" message to his readers. The ending of Wanted clearly shows this and Kick-*** (the comic) is nothing but a story of gaggle of losers that come from the readers' archetypes (kid comic reader, adult comic fanatic, etc) failing even harder at life.

I'm a comic nut & generally enjoy any comic-related flicks, but I don't think I'd be really excited about a KA sequel. The movie was corny at best.
