Two new badges available for most people! =D

Master Thief, that's only been available for a short while
AND
Pain Killer, wich seens to be totally new.

You just need to finish CoP to get both. (and possibly choose the temp power +6 merits for rewards, instead of 10 merits.)

Now we just need to figure out if there's a MoCoP. *shifty eyes*

I hope the Devs NEVER will make it a Mo-CoP Trial. IF they do plan to do it, may it be just before the game gets shelved. Cause no.. no please for all that is good... Don't even consider it!

A normal TF.. sure you have only 8 people to worry about. In a Raid with up to 24 people? No.. no no (repeat this word alot).

Funny, but i've found CoP to be a hell lot easier then LRSF or STF. Might have been cause we were all crazy IOed characters....but we were only fighting 52s enemies. And the one tough enemy...we're 24 on him. A lot easier then dealing with multiple AVs or the towers.

it's -technically- easier, but if the coordination between teams falters then you're not even going to get to face the AV...

and AV, who, btw, is currently bugged and somehow manages to attack through his shield, giving the players a rather unfair (though interesting) disadvantage.

Squash that bug and i'd be okay with a master badge, as an AV that can't be taunted, can debuff the entire raid, and can kill anyone he wants is the greatest source of deaths in the trail.

I didn't even notice it was a bug. =P I assumed it was WAI, just like LR and his towers, the new winter event or hydra in the sewer trial.

Castle said that the AV should be under an "Only Affects Self" while in its shield.

There isn't, I'm glad there isn't, and I hope there never is.

Coordinating 24 players not to be killed while doing the required tasks especially since the AV is 1-shotting squishies through an "only affects self" shield goes beyond anything that would be considered "fun". That qualifies as "frustrating as heck", not fun.

Presumably, Power Liberator is also awarding if Master Thief is. Knock two more off of the list of things that can't be obtained anymore.

Ya, my villain got Master Thief tonight on Protector. You have to make sure to select the IoP reward that gives out less merits. I'm fairly certain that if you take the merit-only reward, you won't get it. The one for me listed "True Furnace" as the temp power.

Which, I'm glad the devs put that in. It means that people can now get that badge the "right" way, rather than through a broken mechanic.

I doubt we'd see a Mo-CoP anytime soon.

But depending on how the Incarnate system eventually works out it might be possible (possible mind you) that characters can be made so powerful with this that a bunch of Incarnates together might be able to manage a Mo-CoP. Especially when you consider the AV is currently bugged...

An unbugged AV against Incarnates could very well prompt a Mo-CoP at some point.

Given what I've seen of the Alpha Slot (global buff), and the accidental sneak peek at the Destiny (PBAoE buff), Interface (adds debuff to most damaging attacks), Judgement (an AoE attack of cold/energy/fire/neg. energy), and Lore (pet), I'd say that even with the level shift that the Incarnate system isn't going to make it any easier.

The most obvious thing that would happen is either a level cap (the developers have the ability to level shift down as well as up) or to simply make the incarnate powers useless in a master run. The precedent is already there with the no temp powers for the current master runs.

I'll just point out that everything you've seen of the Incarnate stuff was specifically pulled out of the GR beta to be "reworked before release". While it's certainly possible everything you saw might remain intact I wouldn't assume that at this point.

Don't get me wrong - I'd have mixed feelings about a Mo-CoP. I'm just suggesting that it might be a realistic possibility depending on just how powerful being an Incarnate ultimately makes us.

And like I said, it is highly likely that future master runs will need an "exclude incarnate abilities" setting as well as "no temp powers and zero defeats".

I really don't see what the problem is. If they added a MoCoP badge, either you earn it, or you don't. They call it a Mo Badge for a reason, and let's face it, sooner or later, we'll get MoCoP groups run in something like half an hour, because enough people are experienced enough with it to even drag a few morons through it.

This kind of thing just takes a little practice.

I'd be for the badge.
