Here's a quote from Shadowrush.com

Quote:
Darren Lynn Bousman is planning to direct a horror thriller titled “11 11 11″, and has partnered with producer Wayne Rice, reports Heat Vision. Appropriately, the film is planned to release on November 11, 2011 (11/11/11).

The movie is based on the 11:11 movement or phenomenon, where people believe that the number 11 alerts them to spirits or angels. It also includes conspiracy theories on the involvement of the number to historical events.

Rice talks about how he chose Bousman for this project. “He and I sat down and over some pasta, (and) the movie materialized,” Rice said. “A lot of this has been New Age-y or biblical, with talk of angels. Leave it to Darren to see the dark side of that date.”

Bousman is currently writing “11 11 11″ as well, and will be about the 11 gates of Heaven and how on 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month, the final gate will open and “something from another world will enter the earthly realm for 49 minutes.”

Bousman had previously directed three money-making “Saw” films and “Repo: The Genetic Opera”. But the intent for “11 11 11″, is not to make it a gory film like “Saw”, but instead to take a new route to scare people.

“With ‘Saw’ and ‘Repo,’ my career has been about finding new ways to freak people out; that’s what I want to do with this,” Bousman said. ‘We want to take this phenomenon and give it horrific purpose.”

The pair hope to be in production this fall.

This looks interesting. Hopefully it will be better than the previous number-focused "Number 23" Jim Carrey movie. I've never wrote this many 11's in an article before.

I prefer number 2,976 myself.

I hope he's still doing the movie 90, too. 90 on-screen murders in 90 minutes = YES!

Hmmm... I'd like to see a movie based on the phenomenon, where people believe they catch colds by being physically cold. And movie based on the phenomenon, where people believe pushing the elevator button again makes it come faster. And a move based on the phenomenon, where people believe we've been visited by aliens. Oh wait...

Isn't that what the M. Night produced movie Devil is about?

You know? Just when you think that you have seen everything that could possibly shock you (no pun intended), I come on here and see you posting again. :P Nice to see you about again (not that you haven't been here, just haven't noticed... I been busy).

MY FAREWELL GIFT

My favorite phenomenon is the one where somebody believes traffic isn't moving because they haven't honked their horn yet. I see that movie every day.

I prefer the phenomenon where people think 2011 is somehow divisible by 11.

This reminds me of June 6th 2006:

"Oh noes! It's six six six!"

"No, it's six six two-thousand and six. Chill."

So, this is Americans using the wrong dating system again. It's day, month, year!

Everywhere else the date will be written 11/11/11.

And then there's the one where people believe that by inventing numbers and then labeling semi-arbitrary spans of time with those numbers in sequence with a (again) semi-arbitrary starting point, that those numbers are somehow significant and influential to reality beyond human society.
