Rain of Fire and Fireball are fitting really nicely into my plant/fire's build. I just hope that I can 6-slot (or at least 5-slot) the two of them comfortably to get 2 more sets of posi blast in them, bringing the total to a full 5 sets of posi blast!

Fire is SO tempting, so tempting that I'm working on a Fire/Fire/Fire Dom. My intrigue with Psi Mastery is World of Confusion. Link Minds would give me that 5th LotG. I can slot Mind Over Matter with Imprevious Skin and World of Confusion with Malaise's Illusions for recharge. I don't have any purples, so I still have to balance the need to be perma-dom while trying to be thematic.

I just want to know if WoC works with Domination and how fast it ticks. Did anyone test it in beta? If so how'd it work out?

I've not tried it personally, but if the numbers in Mid's are correct then WoC is unaffected by domination, ticks every 4 seconds for just over 6 damage (base), is a mag 2 confuse (base duration 1.5 secs, 20% chance of additional mag for 1 second) and has a pretty teensy radius at 8.

It doesn't look that useful, good set mule as long as you're not mind/ though.

Heads up: Dominator. Energy Transter takes PBAoE and Stun sets.

Controllers've had Indomitable Will for a long time, and it hasn't been nerfed yet. And it's better for them than Dominators, who already gets periodic mez protection in Domination. Or even permanent with high enough levels of recharge.

Indomitable Will has the potential to be valuable for non-permadoms. After all, not everyone will have reached that point yet or even want to aim for it at all. Alternating the two mez protection powers would increase coverage.

Psitornado just doesn't feel that strong compared to the other APP AoEs. This could be deceptive due to its DoT nature (not to mention lack of containment on my Mind/Emp), but then again when things're dying fast, that DoT doesn't exactly have time to do its thing...

Of course, there're other nice choices in the APP pools, so it depends on priorities.

Speaking of due for nerf, Sleet looks like the real candidate to me. It's pretty much unaltered from Controller/Corruptor/Defender values. That's kinda absurd compared to other APP powers (if you accept the philosophy of APP powers being weaker than primary/secondary versions, which's another matter). Maybe a doubling of its recharge time--Power Sink and a few other powers gets that.

Okay...I actually want to step away from the -utility- of the powers for one second (Which I love, by the way) and talk about how this affects our ability to create 'thematic' Doms.

Thank you, Devs! Thank you! I can't say thank you enough for making this change! I've been asking for something like this for years...well, ever since they announced the Patron Powers. I now have both Ice and Psi options for my Ice/Psi Dom and don't have to look at options like Chum Bucket if I want more power choices. (I have never taken a Patron Pool Power of any sort, since nothing made any sort of sense whatsoever for my characters.)

These changes give us something that we were sorely lacking: The choice to make our characters' high-level power selections make sense.

Currently WoC has Controller's Overpower mechanic instead of Domination. That would be fixed sooner rather than later I expect.

Does anyone know what IO sets Sleet in the Ice mastery APP takes? Mids shows it as taking ranged damage and slow - which can't be right.

The numbers I'm getting in Mid's are just too good to ignore for Fire Mastery's Rain of Fire and Fire Ball, adding some serious damage to my Mind/Psi. I think I'm going Fire Mastery. Psionic Tornado was right there damage-wise with Dark Obliteration and Ball Lightning, although Psionic Tornado had a much larger radius and added another control element in knockback. I just cannot pass up two Targeted AoE's for one.

I brought this up in the mid's release thread. Apparently it matches the current ingame build. So while its not what it should take. its what it does take.

That's correct, Sleet currently takes ranged damage IO sets. Obviously bugged. And actually, almost obviously due to the fact that the set was ported from Controllers, where that position is Ice Blast.

Pretty clearly the APPs were pretty low priority compared to Praetoria. Quite understandable if you think about it.

I and a few others, were vocal about stopping the apps from being released as they are, and it wasn't we were just unhappy with this or that. It was alittle more than "i want this power".

Some of the ports and powers are fine, others, like the whole MM pool, just need an overhaul. The power choices for MMs, are just poor and questionable.

But, it had a target date, and had to be released, and Praetoria was prime target and being able to cross sides.

I am wondering, and prob a few others, if there isn't going to be an "re-address" to red side origin APPs soon or the next issue. I hope so.

The doms are sets are fine for a first pass, but other ATs, need some attention. Hopefully, as power set proliferation continues, we get some APP proliferation and futher diversification as well. That would be nice.

Got some time to play around Energy Transfer. It takes 20% of my life but by gum does it pack a punch. I was soloing a Mayhem mission and the vault door got me to almost half life.
