I have a few questions, will going rogue have all the previous boosters? or do you still have to buy them seperately?

also is $30 for the prepurchase in the ncsoft store actualy just $30? or will my card be charged again for another $10 when its out?

also since its a digital download, how many times am i limited to downloading it? as many as needed? or just once?

for obvious reasons that things can go wrong with a computer hard drive and loss of data.

Sorry I don't think there are any boosters coming with Going Rogue. Each booster is a separate purchase. You can download the software anytime for free from NCSoft but you have to have an active account to use it. So you can download it on every PC you own. $30 is the cost of GR if you want the Deluxe version you need to spend another $10 for the extra goodies.

Kevin Christian (MC/FF/Primal Controller)
SilverCybernaut (Eng/Dev/Munitions Blaster)

once you apply a serial # to your core account the content is yours for good.

No, all the boosters are completely separate purchases and likely will always be.

If you want the extra goodies (costume pieces, emotes, a power, etc.), you can buy the extra goodies pack for 6.99 when GR releases, otherwise it's a straight $30.

It doesn't matter how many times you download it, all that matters is whether your account has the activation code or not. You can even download the game without having an active account -- or even an account AT ALL.

because a few others didn't realize, there is also the pre-order. you can preorder the game for $40. with it you get the items and one month of play time.

with the pre-purchase, for $30, you get early access to the dual pistols and demon summoning at's, but not the goodies, and not the month of play.

You can only preorder the game from non-NCsoft sources.

It's likely that NCsoft will update the store to include a digital complete edition when the expansion officially launches. But that is not a preorder.

Really? You sure that's sound logic?

There have been a lot of questions about the City of Heroes® Going Rogue prepurchase program, the Complete Collection and the Item Pack. We’d like to take a moment and try to clarify this for all of you.

There are two different ways to get the City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion: as a separate expansion, or as part of the Complete Collection.

The separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion costs $29.99 (€19.99 / £17.99) and requires you to already have City of Heroes. The separate expansion doesn’t include game time, so you must be an active subscriber to play. The separate expansion does not include the Complete Collection Item Pack. The separate expansion will only be available digitally, and will be available for prepurchase starting in March (see below for more information on what you get from prepurchasing this separate expansion).

The City of Heroes Going Rogue: Complete Collection costs $39.99 (€29.99 / £26.99) and includes City of Heroes Going Rogue as well as City of Heroes, City of Villains, 30 days of game time, and the Complete Collection Item Pack. With the game time and previous expansions included, it is ideal for those who are new to City of Heroes franchise (perhaps as a gift!), but also a good value for players not interested in prepurchasing. The Complete Collection will be available both digitally and at retail (in North America) starting in July and cannot be prepurchased (only the separate expansion can be prepurchased).

Starting at launch in July, players who prepurchased or bought just the separate City of Heroes Going Rogue expansion will be able to upgrade to the Complete Collection. The upgrade will include the Complete Collection Item Pack, but it won’t include any game time.

This information was posted back in February long before they knew the Gamestop/Razer promotion was going to happen.

Did you mean all previous issues? If you did then the answer is yes.

If you meant boosters then it's already been answered but I'll say it again, no.

Sevenshade,

Also, if you haven't yet pre-purchased Going Rogue from the NCSoft store, I would hold off.

For the $30 you'd spend on the pre-purchase:
- you'll get immediate access to the GR stuff on the day it goes live
- you get early access to Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning now before GR goes live
- you DO NOT get the bonus goodies (those will cost an additional $7 when GR goes live)
- you DO NOT get a free month of subscription time

A couple of months ago that was an OK deal for those who wanted early access to DP and DS, but seeing as the Going Rogue go-live date is only a couple of weeks away....

If you wait until GR goes live and buy the Complete Edition from the NCSoft store (or go put in a pre-order for the Complete Edition at GameStop), you'll pay $40 but:
- you get the bonus goodies
- you get a free month of subscription time (reducing your real cost to ~$25)
- the only 'downside' is that you might be a day behind on being able to play GR content
- and that you'll have to wait another couple of weeks to play with DP or DS powersets

As an extra bonus, if you get the pre-order of the Complete Edition from GameStop, you get the "special GameStop bonus goodies" that only come from there. (some special, low-level IO's, if I remember correctly)

It's your choice of course, if you are really desperate for Dual Pistols/Demon Summoning...

EDIT: Oh and to clarify, your current game client will be getting updated with all the GR stuff along with everyone elses (it's all one game client), all you'll really be doing in any case is buying the access code to apply to your account to unlock the GR stuff. There's no 'extra' installations.
