All Tanker Hamidon Strategy Discussion

I assume most everyone is GR'ing, but when this idea comes back again I transfered over my ice tank, IcedTnA, and, when I get the time/cash, I'll be IOing her. Any Hami-based ideas for her will be welcome. (I know I'll need some KB def.)

I did two builds for my Tank, one to lead raids, the other for general game play.

Some thoughts on building Hami Raid Tankers:

Regen and Hit Points if you're going to be Taunting anything (and not a bad idea in general for Tanks) and Recharge if you can fit it in.

For an all Tanker Hami we'll need holds (to take the Green Mitos out), so Pyre and Arctic Mastery are great choices. Also slot for the +2 Mag from Lockdown on any Powers that can take it. And, possibly, the Hold Proc from Devastation.

Hasten to help keep your Heal and damage up.

KB protection of at least 10.

Hover, to help get you to the upper mitos.

Medicine Power Pool? (I can see benefits for this, not sure if everyone or anyone really needs to take it. We'll know better after the first Raid )

Once we get into the goo Taunt auras should be turned off (to reduce the chance of stripping aggro and getting random Yellow Mito shots), so unless like Will Power, where it's adding survivability (and even then, during this phase it might be good to shut it off), it might be skippable. (*Note, not everyone should skip these as they are helpful during the GM hunt).

I don't think that taunt auras will make any difference at all in an all tanker raid. With so many different auras around, Hamidon should still favor the active taunter. And even if he did let go of a stray blast, a zone full of tankers should be able to take and shake it off.

But hey, I'm just a mechanically enhanced, tiny blood-sucker, so what do I know?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it really matters, but it could be a strategic issue if you all of a sudden have both a Yellow and Hami pounding on you with Greens dropping your Regen, or even Blues having their fun.

Well have to remimber the main taunter will have EoE the Mitos teams should not be using them, no need to have then attached when they are not in full protection against the blast.

10. Dark/Dark - lvl 49 at the moment but will cap HP, took to 1 raid at lvl 47 - need to respect primary build anyway : @Yeladim (for character), @Peterbilt (for me)
11. WP/SS - Capped HP - Can work with secondary build, no problem. @Myrmydon
12. Inv/SS - Capped HP - Taunted the whole world, sans Hami - Yes - @GEL
13. Inv/EM - Capped HP - Young, No Hami exp - Yes - @GEL

I was reading my contributions to this list...I think I should clarify my Hami experience. I was part of the first ever Hami defeat and I was with all of the failed attempts leading up to it. My tanks themselves are w/o Hami exp but I, as an avatar operator, have experience at everything Hami.
