The forums weren't down per sé. All EU accounts were still able to post just fine, but the US accounts couldn't log in anymore.

That said, like some of the other people here, I started to panic when I read the wrong password message and feared I got hacked. Now I know that computers are powered by witchcraft and unforeseen stuff like that happens, but I'm still pretty annoyed at Paragon Studio that it took them this long to make a newspost on their website about it, letting some of us remain in a hacker-panic.

Tried to log in twice in the afternoon (my afternoon), log in failed and I put 2 and 2 together.


It's slightly worrying that the Mods didn't even realise that their boards log ins would be affected by the downtime though.

Oh... And I suspected it could possibly by some terrorist act and contacted Homeland Security...

They thanked me very graciously and launched a thorough investigation.

After dealing with them for a few hours, I thought maybe I was just banned for some reason (Likely Dec mis-quoted me and got me into trouble), so I looked at all of the last post time-stamps and realized that it wasn't just me... And updated Homeland Security with that juicy bit of info.

I sent paper messages attached via carrier-pigeon to Samuel Tow and kept getting winked at by some blonde lady outside my window.

All-in-all it was a very productive day.

I wonder if they caught the people responsible yet...

I tried logging in several ways, when that didn't work I simply laid catatonic until 6 p.m. Eastern.

With all the furor over the new forum rules, I think the mods realized they were in for a world of grief, and 'accidently' flicked the forum switch while yawning.

I was PvPing in Age of Conan. Our usual opponents have become much more skilled in the past couple days, so it is now a rush to face such a challenge.

Yeah I kinda paniced, I thought my account got hacked, called hubby at work to make sure he didn't change the password on me or anything, then after a few emails to the support team via going to support on the website and finally getting an answer somewhat about the forums being down, I was like Oh... heh that's what happened.

Cancel the kitchen scraps for widows and lepers, no more merciful beheadings and call off christmas!

I was out and about in the sunshine with friends, and wasn't even aware the forums weren't working - by the time I got home in the evening, the crisis was already over
