Try posting in Jay's Costume Request Thread, or the Suggestions forum. Though if you choose the latter, you'll likely be sent to Jay's thread anyways.
As far as players answering your question, try this:
Choose "Tucked in" for the Lower Body category, set your pants to Cargo, choose Flat for boots, and Bare or Kung Fu for their texture.
Or roll a Female toon, they have a few shorts options.

Your best options're probably the tucked in pants, or the tight pants (you can change the bottom half to bare skin).

I would like a decent pair of cargo shorts for male and huge models as well. Had to settle on full length pants when I rolled up Kangaroo Hunter years ago, deleted after Steve Irwin's death. The only character I took Jump Kick on.

On a recent Tanker Tuesday the theme was beach wear. What I really wanted was a Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. Had to settle for the boxing shorts, tank top, and bare feet.
So I say YES! to more beach options.
