North American Training Room unavailability - Week of July 19th
And NCSoft and Paragon Studios reserves the right to allow people access to the game, and beta, however they want. It's even caveated loudly with "Accounts in good standing."
If they wanted to revoke the Loyalty Program Beta Privilege at this very moment, for every single player, they could.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Of course they reserve that right. At the same time, it would absolutely be bad business practice if they decided that they will revoke that. It may even constitute false advertisement. The link Johnny Velocity is proof of that. Especially moreso if it was "sold" to us.

Am I wrong?
No, you're right--but the EULA we sign every time we log into the game trumps it.

Utterly and completely WRONG.
The loyalty program said you would get access by completing the loyalty program. No hedgewords like eligibility were used. You do x, you get closed beta access. Look here to see the words for yourself. Closed beta access was sold, plain and simple, to everyone, their dogs, and even their cats who had enough money. |

Invites will come to those eligible through the various programs at the appropriate times. Starting threads speculating on the reasons you have or have not made it in yet is non productive.
If we just invited everyone who will be eventually invited now, it would be disastrous for the beta program. There is a method folks, please be patient. Also remember that in order to be eligible for beta, your account has to be in good standing. |

As to good standing, let me suggest that if you've ever been caught exploiting or seriously violated a NDA, your account might not be in good standing. I can't provide an exhaustive list, but the vast majority of people don't have to worry.

There was no need to be a ********.
Are you sure that they didn't? Do you have inside knowledge about every person invited to the beta? I can't even begin to guess the selection requirements used to invite people to the betas (past or present). The developers ask the people they choose to ask. They have a reason for who they are inviting.

All very true.
Just because there is a Closed Beta for GR does not mean there will be an Open Beta. CoV did not have an Open Beta. It went from closed straight to live. With less than a month until GR launch, I doubt they plan on having an Open Beta.
Everyone is freaking out about getting into to CB, and that is only because they want to see the new stuff, not actually test. If all you want to do is see the new shinies, then you can wait till launch. CB is for TESTING and BREAKING the stuff, not looking at it so you can say you seen it before it went live. The way I see it, unless youre a player with a great track record for tracking down bugs and stuff, you don't need to be in CB. If you just want to play with the new shinies, why play with all the new stuff and spoil the "new" factor before the content even goes live? |
Anything would be better than CO...
And as to 'getting my boxers twisted' the only reason I stayed paying at that time was to get in to the beta, seriously test and provide feedback so that was money I could have used elsewhere, like STO or SWG or WoW instead of being bored batty waiting for GR for almost a year now. If this is the kind of 'loyalty' being shown then I think I'll take my loyalty (and my money) elsewhere

So, when can we expect Test to be back up?
Yeah. It's 3:00 PST.
I'd like at least a quick update to know what's going on.
I'm going to go with Soon™. Which can mean any time from now until Going Rogue's live release.

it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Ahh....I feel better now.
