Thank you. Praetoria has less excuse than real world dictatorships do, and Joker commits crimes not because Batman let him live, but because the writers won't let anybody keep him imprisoned. There is no more to be read than that.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

We're more or less just using those examples as fuel for 'what if' scenarios. I don't think anyone here truly thinks that comics are deep philosophical wells to draw from. But they still reflect someone's views of morality and justice, no matter how skewed.

Just like many real world events are often not as complex or simple as they are portrayed. Watch the news lately?

And unless you're in the closed beta and violating NDA, you can't say how complex or simple the devs have presented the Praetoria situation.

Well that is pretty normal in any dictatorship. Look at the outrage over someone going in and getting rid of a dictator that does kill his own people that oppose him.

Clearly then, the morality of the DC execs and writers is decayed and rotten as they keep a horrible monster of a person alive, keep making him an even more horrible monster, keep forcing Batman's neurosis to to become worse, and all to keep making money and because they find Batman's suffering as entertaining.
This fails to go into the evils of the reader who, by supporting the franchise, have also brought this upon both Gotham and Batman.
You sick, creeps.

Well, yes, but for completely different reasons.

Hey, as long as I'm the one making the rules, I have no problem with a fascist dictatorship.

In what fantasy world?

Because here in reality they're likely to end up in Pelican Bay than the Ritz Carlton.

Just as an aside about that article, the complaints about lack of natural light are a bit humorous. Del Norte County gets, on average, 70 inches of precipitation, nearly all of it as rain, per year. That place would be pretty bleak even if there were windows everywhere.

Edit: And this isn't just for violent criminals and drug offenders. This is the cell of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatck, who is currently imprisoned for failure to pay his restitution stemming from his plea deal on perjury and obstruction of justice.

My reply was actually to someone else who posted something about something that isn't supposed to be posted here yet - that someone has now totally deleted their post about something
