If they feel like it, they can kick everyone out and delete the SG and no one can say jack about it. Can't get much more griefing than that so I don't see any reason not to have renaming.

What I have seen is that the original founder's of many sgs no longer play the game, which makes it difficult to determine whom actually would be able to purchase said rename. In many cases leadership has changed so much it would be a helluva web to untangle.

BUUUUTTTT....if they limited sg/vg renames only to the original founders that would make me very happy.... and many many sg/vg leaders who aren't the original founders very angry.
*sigh* I guess the solution is to just start from scratch again.

That toon sets permissions for everything, has the power to kick and delete and any other action that can be taken, some of which are already more dramatic than merely renaming the VG.
So if that's the biggest reason, it's not too big of one.

Only way I've ever seen an SG renamed is for "copy write" reasons.
In which case, if you can make a convincing argument that your SG/VGs name violates the copy write agreement you'll get an SG name change similar to a character generic'd situation.
Space reserved for a super awesome Signature, someday...
I've been trying to dig for any hint or hope of this...but i'm guessing it's down near the bottom of requests from the player base in general... still anyone have any inkling about this at all?
