Open Season (Open RP)
Early Afternoon, A little distance from the Jelly Fish Dream, Darwin’s Landing...
The young Hyena known as Shop pressed himself against an upturned row boat as he watched the upper deck of Big Game’s boat through a battered telescope. With the news of Super Sized Sally’s death and rumours of an open bounty against monster hunters the apprentice huntsman was taking no chances. Had Big Game been anybody else Shop wouldn’t have even risked making the trip to Darwin’s Landing, but considering he was his father (a fact Big Game was still oblivious to) he couldn’t just take a chance he was still alright.
Maybe I’ll give his cell one more try. He could of been asleep or something.
Shop pulled a badly scratched cell phone from a bulging pocket of junk and hit the speed dial for Big Game.
Aaagh! Still no answer. I better go and check things out.
After slapping a fresh magazine into his sub-machine gun, and glancing up to make sure the weaponry he put back onto his salvaged crab-spider pack was actually still there he slowly made his way across the dock to the Jelly Fish Dream...
Inside the Jelly Fish Dream...
Despite the attempt on his life the night before Big Game had no problem at all getting to sleep. In fact if it wasn’t for the fact he needed a drink he’d probably be sleeping now. He stumbled out of bed, scratched his head and other areas of his body before picking his way across the still messy room to where a half drunken bottle of beer sat. With a grimace he started to knock back the flat warm beer as he whilst walking towards the door to upper deck. Just as he was about to open the door he felt the tell tale rock of someone climbing aboard his boat. He was about to grab his rifle from the end of the bed when the door opened...
“Geez kid! You trying to give a guy a freakin’ heart attack? Don’t let me catch you sneaking about my boat again.”
“Sorry ‘Game. Was just being cautious... Anyway I wouldn’t need to sneak about if you answered your cell.”
Shop looked around at the mess and broken furniture in the cabin.
“What happened here anyway?”
Big Game finished the rest of his beer before answering.
“Stupid Vampire tried to whack me. Trashed the place good before I got to dust it. That's also the reason you couldn't get me on my cell seeing that it got smashed during the fight.”
“Looks like the rumours are true then.”
“Huh? What are you on about kid?”
“Apparently the Blood Countess has put up an open bounty on monster hunters... ALL OF THEM! They already got Sally.”
Big Game stood up from the bed looking at Shop, genuinely shocked.
“What? Super Sized Sally is dead?”
“Yeah. Apparently a Werewolf toting a machinegun tore up the Wayward Wench, shot her to pieces, and walked off with her head.”
“It’s not just us though. The Priest and his cronies, former Hyenas, the Jackals , Vultures, and every other independent who’s ever whittled a stake or fired a silver bullet is supposed to be on the hit list. The Countess has declared Open Season on us.”
“What about Father Harrigan? Does he know what’s going on?” Big Game asked as he started to gather his clothing and equipment.”
“He’s heading over to his church to take confession, but he’s aware of the situation. He was packing steel when he left.”
“Good I’d hate for someone to get the drop on the old coot before I got a chance to shoot him myself.”
“So what’s the plan boss?”
Big Game started loading a magazine with silver bullets.
“When things go bump in the night you bump back... HARDER!!!”
Dark Astoria, just outside Moth Cathedral
While all attention of the hunters where on the possessed scientists something appeared almost a mile above Moth Cathedral... something so evil that birds approicing it turned away in fear... chilled to the bone.
The Court demoness Lilith Lamashtu appeared in a small explosion of Hellfire. She realised the specialists power below and was ready to flee in a moments notice. but she was not here to fight... only to leave a message... A moments concentration and bolts of fire left her hands... fire that started to form words directly above the cathedral. Fire that was of mystic origin and would stay in the air... fire that wouldn't be removed with mare water...
And so it begins... and it will end with all of you dead!
B.
Around the B of Bathory there formed a dragon... the dragon of the family crest of Bathory.
Lilith bursted out in a loud laughter and let loose a huge bonfire of hellfire surrounding the Cathedral. The holy building was untouchable but the flames didn't even touched the ground. They formed a circle around the complete building. Then she speeded straight up in the air and dissappeared the same way she appeared.

"Maybe I can summon his spirit I seem to be able to do that."
|
He shook his head... "Well Misty, I am afraid this was a original then. A real werewolf... not a scientific Warwolf. We need to find a way to follow him... or learn where he took the head." He suddenly realised what she proposed... "No! Unless we really need him for intel I rather have Rick's spirit at rest. Two restless roaming spirits on this spot is enough!"
He looked one more time at the headless body and whispered... "Goodby kid... rest in peace!"
"Misty, we better leave this place before someone sees the bloody mess and calls the police."

Sharkhead Island
The monkey fight club was as quiet as usual, a few drunk patrons staggered or luched around, one or two were singing drunken songs. the Villain and part time hunter known as Shrieking Violent walked in, she was in ehr wite and black cat suit and seemed to wear a doctor reflector on her head, she looked around and smirked and said in what she thoguht was a cute voice, "Hi, now have any of you naughty little people seen any vampire around here?
One man stood up slowly and swayed alrmingly and said, "Yes, I know where theres a vampire".
"Oh really where?
The man pointed behind her as he collapsed as the beer got the better of him and he said in a drunken slurr, "There".
She spun around and saw Leeches walk in, "Oh were you looking for vampires?
"Yeah, theres a bounty on you, you put a bounty on hunters some of us hunters put a bounty back ya got that stinking paracite?
"Oh I expected that, so come on then show me yours and i'll show you mine".
Shrieking Violent smiled, "Oh really?
With that she screamed eltting out a ear piecing glass shattering scream and Leeches collapsed on her knees holding her ears and screaming in pain letting otu inhuman screams and screeches and Shrieking carried on screaming as she pulled out a sword
"Well leeches, looks like you wern't all that after all, ya stinking vamps always so arrogant, say hello to hell for me!
Shrieking then felt a pain in her throat and frowned, and tried to talk as her mouth filled with blood, she looked at Leeches, she had pressed something on one of her gloves, Shriekings vison went blurred, and she gasped for air and collapsed looking confused as darkness closed in.
Leeches slowly got to her feet and rubbed her head and snarled and said, "Self defence my dear, had a dart gun in my glove and i'm a very good shot".
Three of Leeche's soldiers ran into the bar lifting assault rifles and they covered the Patrons who were still covering their ears from the sound attack and Leeches picked up Shriekings sword and kicked the body.
"I am sorry, but it was you or me, I will see your body is treated with respect, i'll need your head though, there might be some money on you".
With that she swiped with the sowrd removing Shrieking's head and she put it in a box and hovered out followed by her three soldiers. One of the soldiers said, "What if the spiders get involved? You know Recluse don't like murder mistress".
"Oh, it was not murder, simply self defence, she attacked me first, now lets get moving, hunters are like cockroaches kill one three more spring up".
The end is just a new beginning, Goodbye all my coh friends and even the enemies, its been a blast I will miss you all. Thank you Paragon team, you gave me a home from home I will always appriciate it.
Paragon, Astoria Catacombs
The young hunter had aspirations. He wanted to follow in the footsteps of Heroes he admired, fighting the fight against the Unholy and Demons and the like.
Aspirations and a bit of blind faith, however, were no protection against some of the evils that lurked in the night.
"Get back!" he shouted, small silver crucifix in one hand, a burning torch in the other.
The three figures in front of him laughed, two cracked and haunting the other deep and snarling.
"Foolish little mortal...your trinkets don't phase the likes of us," one Vampire, a creature with elongated teeth, a bald head and stretched, papery skin leered, lunging and lashing out with one incredibly long-taloned hand. The young man was fast enough not to lose his fingers, but the crucifix was sliced in half like paper, the pieces clinking away into the darkness.
"Let me break him...I get the marrow, you get the blood," the hulking werewolf growled, a deep bass rumble showing he was chuckling.
"Yes, why not," the other vampire, a pale but more humanoid figure with unnaturally dark eyes drawled, motioning at the hunter, who had drawn an ornate pistol. "This one isn't going to make much of a h-"
The man shot him, straight between the eyes. The other two glanced around, as the third figure sighed, digging two long nails into his own face with a sickening fleshy sound, before prying the bullet out.
"Not even enscorscled. How pa-schk!"
The other two almost jumped back as the vampire looked down, a surprised expression on his face as he stared at the blade growing from his chest.
"Credit where credits due though, right chaps?" it's wielder, a tall man with black hair, red glasses and a red blazer said, stepping out of the shadows. "Three on one..most unsporting."
The air blurred and stretched, and suddenly the figure was stood behind the young hunter with his back to all of them, arm horizontal across his chest holding the katana blade facing down.
There was a choking sound, before the previously impaled vampire slid in half with a sound like bleeding silk, collapsing into ash even as his body hit the floor. The werewolf snarled while the other vampire brought up its claws.
"You! Who are you?"
Leon smirked, looking over his glasses at them.
"I'm complicated. And you are both discraces to the bloodlines. Begone," he gestured dissmissively at them. The Vampire screeched at him, even as the giant werewolf loped forward. The young hunter shot it twice in the chest, before being shouldered aside, his pistol clattering to the floor.
Leon lunged, the katana blade humming as it blurred through the air. The two passed each other, the werewolf slowing to a stop, looking down at itself, then turning slowly.
Its companions face became a rictus of fear. The man in red hadn't even taken a scratch, while the hulking wolf looked like it had been used as a naughts and crosses board. Leon spun like lightning, ending in a crouch with the blade held out to his right. The wolfs head hit the floor a second later, followed by the body.
Terror and instinct overtook the final vampire as it lunged madly, giant claws scything. Amazingly, its adversary just seemed to stand and take it as the claws raked crosswise across his face, before the creature rammed both pairs of talons through his chest with a triumphant snarl. The hunter, who had by now found his pistol, looked up in horror, only for his eyes to widen in amazement as the man in red simply smiled.
The other two watched as the cuts began to heal rapidly, before the katana sang out again and the vampire shrieked as its hands were severed at the wrist, before the still imbedded talons crumbled to ash.
"You...how...what are you?!" the thing gasped as it tried to backpedal on all fours.
"A right royal pain in the @ss," the man laughed, kicking it visciously in the face, before hacking it clean in half with one clean sweep. With an echoing wail, the thing turned to ash.
"Sir...w-who are you?" the hunter asked, re-lighting his torch.
The man in red turned, looking over his ruby glasses with equally red-pupiled eyes, smiling wide enough to show fangs. The young man took a step back in shock.
"You...you're a vampire?"
"Lord Leon DeFeurard, at your service. Although next time it will probably cost you," Leon chuckled, the katana in his hand vanishing like mist. "Tell your hunters that, so long as they don't decide to take potshots at me, I won't pick sides. Or...we might even be able to do business. Their choice."
And with that, he dissapeared into the darkness.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Dark Astoria, just outside Moth Cathedral
And so it begins... and it will end with all of you dead! |
"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,"
With that he came out of the Cathedral drawing his sword. He had no superpowers but with the intense training he gone through and trance like state he enters before a fight his reflexes were faster and sharper then normal. He rushed at a Thorn Scientist dodging a Dark Gloom blast.
"on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us."
Saying the Lord's Prayer seemed build up his might as he sunk deeper into his fighting trance. Then he struck with a brutal Soaring Dragon attack lifting the Dark Possessed Scientist into the air.
"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
When the Scientist hit the ground Gabriel then attacked with Golden Dragonfly using might as he screamed the last of the passage in defiance of the demonic powers.
"For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen."
He had caught a few in that Golden dragon but the one he was focused on didn't stand back up. He lifted his sword and pointed it at the horde of scientists. "I fear no evil the Lord is my shield. Bring it on you demonic possess bastards!"
Steel Canyon"Misty, we better leave this place before someone sees the bloody mess and calls the police."

"You Alright Fred" As the brick Outcast. Fred what looked to be an Volt nodded "Yeah just felt like someone stepped on my grave ya know. Got a sudden chill a bit light headed but I be fine." The Brick shook his head "You got to lay off that Rage junk man the high not worth the crash!"
Misty smiled thought feeling stronger and faster she turned around and sent some the energy to Brian giving him a boost (Speed boost) "There that should help for a bit. Given you had a connection to that guy can't you ... um feel in what direction his head went?"
"What about Mike?" asked Altair, unholstering two match-compensator handguns from her thighs and handing them over to Sabrina.
"Mike's gone! Thanks for the guns" Sabrina said, uncharacteristically sombre. "Now unstrap that rifle and blowtorch these f**kers will you?" |
Sabrina's handgun was red hot from the heat of continuous fire. Her barrels ignited again and again as bullets shot out through it, spun through the dense fog and impaled the advancing possessed. One by one they fell, a spark of bright red electrical fire combusting inside the human shells as each demon is killed. Shots to the head and another through the heart, the lifeless bodies of over fifty possessed scientists were beginning to mount up into an obstructing heap.
"Sabrina," whispered Altair, struggling to maintain the back-to-back rotating formation. "I'm starting to get a little dizzy from all this pivoting."
"Yeah I don't think we can keep this up for much longer" Sabrina agreed. "I'm running low on ammo"
"Not to mention the rising hill of bodies," Altair moaned. "If we're not careful we'll be trapped in here like ducks in a well."
"Alright, let’s get the hell out of here," Sabrina decided. "Start carving a path back towards the church."
"Oh you just gonna leave me down here, huh?" came the raspy voice of Mike Grayson, climbing up and out of the sea of dead bodies.
"Mike! You're alive!" screamed Altair, both relieved and excited.
"Took a hard hit to the head but I'm alright now" said Mike, going back to check his body. "When old Elli said this armour heals, he weren't shi*ing was he?"
"Sorry to interrupt this tear-jerking reunion guys but err... rising wall of demons? Impending doom? Does that ring a bell?" called Sabrina, still emptying rounds.
"Step back girls, I got this" called Mike, rising to his feet and assuming an offensive stance. "Payback time you rock-throwing demon-possessed meat sacks!"
Mike's arm shot out, the golden ring glowed and suddenly, a jet of intensely hot bright-white light the size of a fast-moving train streaked across the church ground, burning through a dozen possessed and adding to the rising corpses. Mike turned and aimed his ring towards the Cathedral, firing on the river of enemies and parting a way forward like the biblical Red Sea. At the end of the path, near the church doors stood a man of the cloth, slicing away at the possessed and cursing with prayers. As the three approached him, retreating from the eye of the fight, Altair noticed the dying flames of what would have been a bonfire around the giant ghotic building. The heat brought her attention skywards to the writing in the clouds.
And so it begins... and it will end with all of you dead! B.
"Guys, look up" she called. "That's the crest of Bathory. Its official; she's our culprit."
"But the more pressing question is," said Sabrina, face to face with the sword-dancing priest. "Who the heck are you?"
Meanwhile, up in the Bell Tower
The long grey hair, the aged and wrinkled face, the long fangs and blood-red lips, the empowering talisman necklace; it was unmistakable who this man was.
"Memphis" Pious whispered. "You finally found the courage to come kill me yourself."
"Kill you?" Memphis laughed, clearly enjoying the status quo. "My dear boy, this aint nothing personal, I don't want you dead. The fight with Kahn, the hospital assassination, it was all just a test. No hard feelings. See we knew you wouldn't be left to rest. In the grand scale of things, you're just too valuable."
"Oh yeah?" asked Pious, the suggestions of subtle movement in his hands. "Valuable to you and Bathory? You working for her now? Cash in on the bounty?"
"No son, this has nothing to do with the witch-vamp's bounty. Okay kiddo? This, this is bigger than you think. You see I, Memphis Alexander," Memphis begun, gloating as he flicked his hair aside, "chief executive of Memco Corporation, one of the world's most successful businessman and among the richest on this whole planet, work for a man of ALMIGHTY cosmic f**king power, you understand? Alright? So you better forget your petty little vampire feuds and realize the gravity of this situation! Alright?!" Memphis snapped, before stepping back to calm down. Without another word, he moves over to the tower's balcony and leans onto the balustrade. "Anyway... he's on his way here to meet you. You see Pious, with you trapped up here in your own little bell tower, cooking in that fire, and with no one free to come save you, you're... how do the Americans say, kinda screwed. Catch my drift?"
"Yeah..." trailed Pious, adrenaline coursing through his veins. "There's just one problem with that. I'm an escape artist and erm, Rollister, Countess Crey, err who else, oh Kahn, you know they would all agree that if you wanted to set a successful trap, you do not, under any circumstances, put me in it!" A drop of holy water from the cannons on his belt and a patch of fire was doused, creating a gap in the cage just wide enough for the priest to escape.
Memphis spun quickly on his heels and attacked the escaping priest with a ball of hellfire. Pious side-stepped and managed to dodge it but another ball of fire came at him too fast. He deflected it with his two katanas and raced forward to retaliate, but his advance was intercepted with a sudden blow to the face, knocking the priest backwards in recoil. Memphis proceeded forth and with ungodly speed, executed a series of complicated martial arts techniques that stunned the priest and sent him flying across the space, just narrowly missing the great big cast-iron bell before crashing into a stone wall on the north face of the tower. Enjoying the irony, Memphis reached for the unhanded katanas and turned them on the priest, holding them up to his exposed neck in an ex.
"All right, calm down son, I got you. I got you" said Memphis, in a pretentious caring tone. Using one of the poised katanas, he begins to slice off the priest's gear and equipment, one by one. "Okay what is all this? Holy water, you don't need that. Utility belt, let's get rid of that. Magic sword, psychic amulet, guns, guns, more guns, Jesus Christ Pious, thought you were a pacifist," he teased.
"Kick a puppy enough times and he'll bark" Pious groaned, slowly regaining consciousness.
"Yeah but guns kill, hmm?" mocked Memphis, landing a dirty slap across Pious's swollen face. "Hmm?"
"Wrong" Pious choked, blood trickling inside his throat. "It's not the gun that kills, it's the cowards like you pulling the trigger. Were it a rock you'd still strike."
A flash of movement and Memphis landed another humiliating slap before hurling the defeated preacher back into the revitalised ring of holy fire. "Better watch that mouth of yours punk. You disrespect me, you play with fire. And play with fire, boy, you get burned! Now, where were we? Oh yes, the Dark Lord."

A calm, homey, trustworthy sounding voice speaks over a black screen.
We at The Store, trust out products so much, that we are willing to risk our lives to prove how effective our products are.
The scene opens on a little girl, perhaps recognisable to some as the gang leader, drug dealer and arms merchant Tomb. In costume, but not her normal Deaths head work clothes, this time she was dressed as little red riding hood, something she was clearly unimpressed by.
Oh woe is me, I have been pursued to this derelict location by an unknown monster. Her voice was flat, without any real passion and she seemed to be glaring off camera at some one.
The camera panned sideways as it did, the girl could be seen mouthing Red Riding Hood? Thats the best you could come up with you... off camera now, her stream of profanities could not be seen, instead the camera was now on a large cage. Inside the cage a large furry shape slumbered, vaguely its colouration could be seen, resembling that of a timber wolf.
Indeed little Red Riding Hood, had been pursued by the big bad wolf, but luckily she had purchased from The Stores wide range of protective devices the narrator told the viewer.
Surely I am in trouble, the beast draws near, seeking to devour my tender, innocent flesh, but wait I have a Croak-a-ball. Tomb obviously was not being paid for her acting skills.
There was roar from off screen, the beast was standing like a man trying to rip its way through the cage, the reason why it was roaring became apparent, a man dressed all in black, barely showing up on the camera, was goading the beast, poking and shocking it with a cattle prod. The camera moved away, as the bars groaned and buckled, the man in black managed to dodge away as the creature turned, baleful yellow eyes falling on the girl in red.
Tomb merely smiled at the were-wolf, giving a mocking little curtsy and playful little skip.
My what big teeth you have her voice was filled with malice.
The creature pulled itself free of the wreckage that had once caged it, as it did so Tomb threw a silver coloured ball underarm towards the beast, the ball stopped and with a whirr and a crunch, it seemed to vanish. The creature prowled towards the girl, low its eyes narrowed and flecks of spittle forming on its maw as it growled low, it gave a triumphant howl, leaping forward...
Tomb stepped back to avoid the shower of blood and chunks, the camera turned changing angle to reveal matted bits of fur and spider web like series of wires, dripping with warm blood.
The Croak-a-ball, a deployable Impervium razor wire mesh, coated with a silver dust. Near invisible, near indestructible and atomically sharp. The Croak-a-ball is just one of the many fine products available at The Store. As the narrator talks, contact details appear on the screen for The Stores international purchasing scheme.
Brawling Cactus from a distant planet.
A flash of movement and Memphis landed another humiliating slap before hurling the defeated preacher back into the revitalised ring of holy fire. "Better watch that mouth of yours punk. You disrespect me, you play with fire. And play with fire, boy, you get burned! Now, where were we?"
|
"No! You tricked me!" Memphis cried, as his body ignited and burnt to ash, swept away in a strong gust of wind.
With a suspicious wink to the caged angel, the shooter reached into her Nighthunter's armour and pulled out a flashy cellphone. "Elizabeth darling, it's me Pistol. Listen, I pulled some strings and erm, well, long story short... I've gotten you Pious Hunter. Yeah, he's immobilised right here in front of me, I'll send you a video feed. In fact, I may even leek it onto the web. Now about five minutes ago I saw Lilith set fire to Moth Cathedral so I assume you too know how to get here. Come in person! It’s about time we ended this thing. Te-te-wy-el."
"Alicia? What the heck are you doing?" asked Pious, utterly unsure of what was going on around him.
True to her word, Alicia linked her phone to the Internet and began filming the captured priest. "Rescuing you, duh-brain. What does it look like I'm doing?"
"From where I'm standing it looks like you're showing the dogs of war, exactly where I am!" Pious yelled, "Pistol! Quit filming and toss me the holy water!"
"You know you got to hand it that guy" said Pistol, still streaming. "Poisoned silver, holy fire, he really knew how to screw you over, didn't he?" Pistol lowered her phone and ended the feed. She walked over to the blessed water and stared long and hard at it. "You know Pious, despite what this looks like; I did actually come here to save you. But now that I'm here, going through the motions, I gotta say, I'm conflicted."
"Conflicted?"
"I'm not exactly fond of this probation agreement and you know that! This, this is my ticket to freedom" Pistol snapped.
"What selling me out?" asked Pious. "Some sister you are. This is worse than dying to Memphis."
"You know that wizard really hated your guts, and I don't blame him. The relationship between him and your mother, yeah he told me. Typical really, a loving family and the guy still couldn't keep his wiener in check. I actually got him to write me into his will. Now I finally got him. I suppose technically, you're looking at the new CEO of all things Memco" she announced, unable to contain a victorious grin. "Hard to get him out in the open, so I made him think that the 'Dark Lord' wanted him here, with you. From there on, everything just sort of, fell into place."
"You're mad" said Pious. "I thought you'd changed? I had Mechano cure you, had MAGI help you get your son back, what more do you want now?"
"I don't know Pious" Pistol admitted. "I guess this is just who I am; a regular Judas, thorn in your side and always chasing the gold."
"It's not too late you know. All you have to do is pass me the water" begged Pious, fearing the worst.
Ignoring the plea, Pistol flipped open her cellphone and turned it to face the helpless holy man. "Check it out Priest, you're a YouTube hit!"
A ruckus could be heard deep within the mist. One after the other, the glowing eyes of the possessed began to die out.
Something or someone was taking out the scientists with great efficiency.
Just as Mike Grayson was helping the girls retreat back into the church, sounds of gunfire was heard coming from up in the bell tower.
"That's Pious!" exclaimed Altair.
"Excuse me Father?" Mike called out, trying to get the attention of the holy swordsman. "There are too many of them, we really should regroup inside and strategize." He had just finished the sentence when something deep within the mist caught his eyes; possessed scientists were dropping like flies.
"Someone's out there" said Sabrina. "And I think he's one of us."
"How do you know?" asked Mike.
"Nighthunter's amulet. I can sense him" she replied. "It's Morilanthi"
"Yes, it is me." Morilanthi spoke via the amulet.
"How is the situation here? And what are the Circle of the Thorn doing here?"
Morilanthi dogded the attacks as the scientists tried to defend themselves from the new threat.
Meanwhile in the Rogue Isles...
“RAAARR! Missing me is the biggest mistake you ever made. You’ll never manage to outrun me now. “
Lungs near bursting, Big Game sprinted through the streets of Port Oakes . A little distance behind him, and closing rapidly, was the mercenary Werewolf War Dog. Big Game took his flight into one of the more rundown neighbourhoods, and ducked into an alleyway and out of War Dog’s field of vision.
“RAAAGH! You won’t lose me that easily. I still have your scent.”
War Dog ducked into the alleyway and caught sight of Big Game’s rear up ahead of him. Letting out a fearsome roar War Dog pushed himself harder and started to close the gap even further.
“I’m coming fo...”
War Dog stopped mid-taunt. Something was very wrong. All of a sudden he noticed Big Game’s scent was behind him. Then he noticed the Big Game in front of him actually looked different.
“You tricked me!” War Dog roared. As he spun around to face the actual direction Big Game was standing he was enveloped in a mess of impervium monofilament wire that immediately started to constrict. Within seconds War Dog was tightly balled up in a cocoon of monofilament wire. Standing in a doorway War Dog had missed was Big Game still breathing hard and holding an unfamiliar cannon-like device.
“Use your silver bullet and get it over with.” War Dog snarled in defiance.
“You’ll get your bullet soon enough...”
Big Game dropped the web-cannon and bent down to pick up something else on the floor in the doorway. War Dog’s eyes widened in a fear he was totally unaccustomed to.
Meanwhile Big Game walked over to the tightly bound war Dog and started emptying the gasoline can over the helpless Werewolf.
“... but first I want to hear you howl until my ears bleed.”
Some distance away...
Shop, still disguised as Big Game, came to a halt. Bent over, hands planted on his knees stopping him from toppling over, he frantically took a series of painful breaths.
’Game must of got him... I hope so anyway. I can’t ru...
Shop’s train of thought was cut short by the bloodcurdlingly horrific howl that cut through Port Oakes.
Yeah he got him...

She rejoyced in having a solid chance to get Pious Hunter... But Lilith her surveillance told her that the place was swarming with so-called Nighthunters. So the 'in person' could be a problem. She watched the feed again. Pious obviously didn't look happy and rather helpless... immobilised by fire on top of a tower of some sorts.
A plan was forming... "Shannon!", she yelled to her Fae page... "Get over here... I want you to warn Lilith. I need her on top of the clock tower in twenty minutes." Shannon flew up and speeded to get the message through. "on my way miss Elizabeth!", she called out.
Elizabeth walked up to her Dark Mirror that she normally used to travel long distances herself. She will use it soon again. But first someone has to get back to her. She needed raw animal power... she needed Jack! And a few spells in an ancient language later his image appeared in the crystal mirror in front of her.

On the far side of Sky City they saw Jack on his bike riding at top speed to get back to the Rogue Isles.
Suddenly a dark cloud shaped in front of his bike... a cloud that seemed to swallow him. Until he was gone... leaving the two ghosts!
Brian stopped moving... "I lost him...", slowly he floated down.

In her base Leeches was reflecting on the current situation, one of her snipers had reported the mass of Nighthunters and Pious at the cathedral, it seemed her intended targets were in a trap, she opened communications with her sniper.
"Do not take any action, move into position and observe, this is Bathorys fight, now we see how she deals with things, observe for me".
The sniper who was on top of a wind swept building was a strange looking creature a zombie in short with cybernetic enhancements, she had no jaw and drooled and jibbered to herself as she looked through the sniper rifle, it had a heat tracker on it so weather and mist and such conditions did not hamper its aiming ability and she said telepathicly to Leeches
"Yes mistress, we...i...have beent racking them for for for, a long, t...time, they did not notice me in the c...con....confusion, I serve well yes?
"yes, observe the situation that is all they are too powerful for you to take them all, keep me informed of all developments".
Leeches was pleased by this, one of her first cybernetic zombies had proved herself well, the others were still being made. She was satisfied to watch the battle through the sniper guns battle camera. She still needed the zombie to tell her what she saw though as heat signitures could be difficult to track.
She turned to one of her soldiers and chewed on one of her fingers thoughfully bareing her shark like teeth for a moment.
"Find out what you can about this Big Game person, i wish to know all we can about him before we need to move against him".
"Yes mistress, what of our hunting of that hunter from earlier?
"Oh, dont worry, we will deal with him in due course, prepare my bodyguard unit, we may need to assist Bathory should she take place in this battle in person".
"Why would she need our help?
"She possibly wont, be on standby, we dont know if she is the historical one, we do know though that she is too powerful to lose".
"Understood, will the robots be fitted with the new missile system?
Leeches nodded, "Now leave me alone a little, I need time to think about all this".
With that the soldier saluted and walked out of the control room and Leeches reclined in a padded command throne and watched the sniper cam, this promsied to be most interesting, and perhaps hunting this Big Game fellow would be an amusing distraction.
The end is just a new beginning, Goodbye all my coh friends and even the enemies, its been a blast I will miss you all. Thank you Paragon team, you gave me a home from home I will always appriciate it.
"Yes, it is me." Morilanthi spoke via the amulet. "How is the situation here? And what are the Circle of the Thorn doing here?" Morilanthi dogded the attacks as the scientists tried to defend themselves from the new threat.

"Daniel its me. I need your help" called Altair, talking remotely over her private radio frequencies. "There's a situation here at Moth Cathedral and we're struggling to contain it. It looks like we're gonna need the big guns. Please, I know the United States Air Force still has Battle Tank Ten but if you can convince General Mathews to let us use it? Oh come on Daniel, it's your machine, you built it! Well at least talk to him for me, I'm ex-military and I'm authorised to pilot it. No it's Astoria, there won't be any civilian casualties. Yeah? Great, thank you so much bro, I promise you I'll return it in one piece this time."
"You're getting the mecha?" asked Sabrina, sounding a little jealous.
Altair logged off and turned to the rest of the hunters, a wide smile lighting up her freckled face. "It pays to have family in high places. Codename BT-X here I come. Those demons outside are gonna burn. Be right back while I change into the piloting suit."
"Alright then new plan" said Mike. "When the mecha gets here, Altair takes point. I'll stay and fight with the prayer-man. Morilanthi, you and Sabrina should push through the fog and demons and find a way onto the bell tower. I've got a bad feeling about old Elli up there."
Something was causing some of the possessed scientists to stir and turn, as the sound of slicing came from the back of the large mob. A pair of corpses were flung bodily skyward, already twisted in rather broken ways before they hit the ground. A line of them tried to push forward.
There was a sound like tearing silk, and a figure was suddenly the other side of the line, crouched with his left hand resting on the ground, his right holding a katana out to one side, the blade still clean. Even as he gracefully stood, the bodies behind him stumbled and fell, bodies cut clean in two at the waist.
Dusting a bit bit of non-existant dust off his the right shoulder of his crimson blazer, the figure looked up and smiled at the Nighthunters, wide enough to show sharp fangs. He tapped his glasses down, the ruby lenses revealing equally red eyes behind them.
"Quite the jam here, eh folks?" he chuckled, reversing the katana blade and ramming it through a scientists gut. Still without looking round, he uppuercut the blade, slicing clean from waist to skull in one move. "Now, far be it from me to chide, but...you're in a bit of a pickle, by the looks of it?"
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

The sniper on the building near Moth Cathedral lifted her sniper rifle and made a drooling noise and thought to herself, "One last Nighthunter running for the door m...must target m...must serve mistress, k...kill nighthunters".
Leeches watched the sniper take aim and sighed, "Oh if you must open fire on that last one, just dont hit any of them demons, and only fire once then change position, and keep recording, aim to slow whoever it is though, let the demons deal with it, then it looks like the demons got one".
"Understood...u..understood mistress, firing now".
She carefully took aim at the last heat signal outside of the cathedral and opened fire with a heat seeking explosive bullet, then started to move to a new position and used cybernetic enhancements to jump to another roof then ressumed recording.
Leeches seemed surprised by some rapid movement, humm another vampirec cresature it looked like, no heat signature just a vague outline, interesting, she continued to watch this was interesting, she flciked on a communicator.
"Are my body guards activated?
"Yes mistress
"Humm, and what do you have on this Big Game?
"Not much, all we can fidn on him is, hes a hunter, which we knew, hes dangrous though and ruthless".
"They always are, I suppose you tried, thank you, now await my command, the show goes on".
The end is just a new beginning, Goodbye all my coh friends and even the enemies, its been a blast I will miss you all. Thank you Paragon team, you gave me a home from home I will always appriciate it.
A pillar of smoke and flame appeared to the rear of the possessed scientists. Burning flesh wafted over the battle as men set up what looked like a defensive position. Over the Nighthunter's amulets came a voice "Forces engaged with Possessed, This is Micheal Racked of the Nighthunters, please respond if you can hear me."
Micheal looked to the men and women he had with him, government agents trained in defeating demons, but only 10 of them. "Alpha squad, set up a defensive line, Beta squad with me, lets cut down these demons". As the agents set to work, Micheal pulls the trigger on his rifle and sends three grenades hurtling into the Possessed.
As Morilanthi ran forth to seek cover in the church with the rest of the Nighthunters, he suddenly sensed danger. With practised intuition, he instinctively poised his elven katana which took the bullet and deflected the explosion, slicing the metal cleanly in half.
"Futile" he muttered before stepping into the safety of the cathedral.
"Guys, i think we got a shooter out there."
Leon had taken a moment to light a cigarette, seemingly uncaring of the fighting around the cathedral. He looked up at Murilanthi's shout, while simultaneously punching a charging possessed square in the face, causing the skull to cave in.
"I'll deal with that. You chaps and chapettes miiight just want to check on your boss," he smirked, nodding at the tower where Pious had done, before vanishing in the blink of an eye.
He reappeared on the rooftops at a casual walk, katana blade spinning casually in his right hand.
"Where d'you think you're off to, m'dear?" he called out to the form of the cybernetic-zombie in front of him, blowing a lazy cloud of smoke as he did so.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Directly above Pious and Alicia the sky became dark and Lilith Lamashtu appeared again the same way she did earlier... in flames. She threw a huge blaze of Hellfire around the whole bell tower and in the stair case up... blocking all ways... Then a black spot appeared in the sky behind the demoness... a spot that grew larger and larger until it was a little over man size.
From the dark gateway, that it obviously was, jumped Jack Wulfe in full lycantrophe form. With him several other werewolves showed up. The Alpha male had brought his pack! While the occassional werewolf couldn't help put howl at the moon Lilith opened a portal to Hell and demons came forth (demon summoning). Then both Lilith and Jack watched the portal in anticipation.
As if she was walking on air Elizabeth appeared herself... followed by two undead warriors in full armor and her Lich advisor Vladimir. She stayed up... floating out of reach while she watched the demons and werewolves secure the bell tower. A smile was showing on her lips seeing the mayhem around them. Then her red eyes noticed Pistol...
"My dear Alicia... I heard you had something for me!?"

Micheal fired in three shot bursts, taking out as many Possessed as he could. "Jerry, take point" he called to his fellow agent and tried the amulet again "Nighthunters beseiged at Moth Cathedral, can you read me?". Deciding the Amulet a lost cause he unloaded his flamer tank into the hoard and began to charge toward the bell tower, firing in three bursts at anything that came near, Beat Squad following in behind
Midday in Dark Astoria, just outside Moth Cathedral.
As though in slow motion, a line of heroic warriors advanced forth from within the Cathedral, all under the magical and material protection of the Nighthunter's black Kevlar armour. Chinese martial artist and black-ops expert Sabrina San aka Dragonfly had two mystic katanas fixed on her back, a short black skirt complimented her hooded Nighthunter's armour while allowing for maximum mobility. Paranormal investigator Mike Grayson aka Hellskiller marched with them, his armour worn under a flowing dark trenchcoat which matched his wide-rimmed duster hat, a peculiar gold ring on his finger the sole weapon of choice.
The young technopathic soldier-turn-nun, a skater-girl at heart, adorned her feet with jet-fuelled inline rollerblades. She wore the same skirt as her best friend Sabrina San to match the hooded Nighthunter's armour. Her orange ski-goggles shielded her eyes from environmental exposure as it screened and calculated computer data at an alarming rate, in conjunction with her implanted cerebral chip. Despite her satellite uplink, she was unable to predict what happened next.
"Stop!" yelled Sabrina, her senses tingling. "Something's not right"
"Déjà vu" muttered Pious, spinning round his head to gaze beyond the dense fog of Dark Astoria, through which no sunlight could penetrate. "It's happening! In my dream it was all dark so I assumed this would occur at night, but of course, it's always dark out here in Astoria!"
"Everybody get down!" Sabrina screamed, as the thunderous sound of gunfire shattered the tranquillity of holy ground. "Shooter! On the bell tower! Ten'o'clock!"
"I got it" yelled the priest, unsheathing his large broadsword and holding it up to guard his face, immediately the metal ricocheted iron bullets, some only narrowly missing the holyman's head.
"What powers are you switched to?" asked Mike, seeking cover and holding up his ring arm like a gun.
"I couldn't decide between earth-healing and air-bending but I chose the latter"
"Then bend some air and port that sniper right to us" Mike yelled, "I'll face him mano-a-mano, God damn it!"
Sword outstretched, Pious called forth a pocket of wind that lifted him into the fog and out of sight. Then the gunshots seized and a deathly silence followed.
"Shouldn't we like... go after him?" asked Altair, genuinely worried. But her focus was drawn away deep into the distant fog.
"What's wrong?" asked Sabrina following her friend's gaze. "What are you looking at?"
"Dear God!" Michael exclaimed, as a horde of green-eyed scientists invaded the church grounds.
"Look, they're all possessed!" said Altair.
"I think those are Thorn scientists" Sabrina pitched.
"Shoot them then!" said Michael.
"But they'll die..." Altair argued.
"Would you rather they killed you then?" said Sabrina, unsheathing her katanas.
"Look at it this way Sister Mary" said Michael, "those host bodies are already dead inside. You'll be shooting at demons, not peop-"
Mike Grayson couldn't finish his sentence as a hurled boulder collided with his skull.
"Shoot!" yelled Sabrina, stepping into defensive formation and placing herself back-to-back with Altair. "They're circling us in. We need to keep them out at a distant range but I'm limited to melee so you'll have to do the work, okay? Altair! There're hundreds of 'em! F**king hurry up and shoot, damn it!"
"What about Mike?" asked Altair, unholstering two match-compensator handguns from her thighs and handing them over to Sabrina.
"Mike's gone! Thanks for the guns" Sabrina said, uncharacteristically sombre. "Now unstrap that rifle and blowtorch these f**kers will you?"
Meanwhile, up in the Bell Tower
The priest was trapped. He fought but nothing defeated the burning ring of holy fire. Howling laughter resounded through the hollow bell as a figure came to view.
"Well well well, Pious 'The Priest' Hunter... fallen victim to my genius, have you? Hmm? Let me ask you, father... how do you kill a precog who sees you coming? Well, it’s simple... you set a trap and make him come to you!" Then the laughter continued.
