We'll all get used to it and then they'll change it completely all over again.
Now I can't just see that I have no messages and close the window.
Well, those things don't bug me so much..
..but I did notice that now, if the description text is vast, they only show a little and then stick a need-to-click "More" under it. THAT I don't like. 
Several steps in the wrong direction so far from what I'm seeing... I'm still being optimistic though and looking for something I like in the changes so I don't just reject it because it's new and different.
There does seem to be a ton of wasted space... hopefully they plan to add in new features and needed to make room.
Out of curiosity do they ever consult with anyone or do polls (they are built in may as well use them) to see what people want or think before they go changing stuff like this?
Horrrrible. Friends list there is a dead link for me and older uploads are extremely blurry. Meh I say.

I'm gradually getting used to them. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old layout, but I've seen worse redesigns. It's just all...different now.

Do they have to change the look and layout and how everything works every time they do an update?
Grrr, also, apparently the max Journal size has been shrunk...a lot. I can't update my journal now. I tried deleting almost half of it and it still says it is to large.
I like it.
Looking back at what it used to be years ago, I think they're doing a good job. Also, if I wasn't happy, I wouldn't pay for the service.
People are never happy, have a good cheese and whine and they want everything NAOOOOO!!111
If they never updated it, people would want changes.
If they update it, people moan straight away.
Updates=> elements might break -> fixes coming in overtime. Rinse & repeat.

Well, you could just remove all the thumbnails you put in it. Why do you have a gallery of thumbnails of all the art you've collected over the past year and a half in your journal entry? People are suppose to look through your gallery for the art, not the journal.
(( I liked that journal entry of hers ... I thought it was impressive ))

And you know what? It was easier to browse and more 'fun' to use.
Now? Im heavily considering moving.

DA has changed many times over it's lifetime, but this is a giant step backwards. The space is improperly used, wasting TONS of extra space, the gallery viewing interface now has more complexity which makes finding the individual submission pages harder to find, the UI is *less* intuitive, information is now less apparent, and many other changes that either add too much complexity or ruin what was otherwise a good design.
I'm all for evolution, but this isn't a change for good.

This is minor in the grand scheme of things, but does the top nav bar now seem like an ad or one of those Would You Like To Remember This Password? bars to anyone else? I keep wanting to click on it to get rid of it or something...
I guess it does.
The changes are tolerable on my PC, but a real pain on my laptop. I was expecting something a lot more powerful from a feature called superbrowse.
Hopefully this version can block that awful "Windows Security" trojan that sometimes hijacked the page on my school's computers. If it does that I'll be content.
The new DA changes are freaking horrible. Misused space anyone? News at 11.
