I am starting to get angry

I have bin trying to sort out my account since 8am this morning..... its 2.12pm now....... i have reset my game password like 10m times and still have reinstalled my eu CoH 6 times...................... still get the same old crappy message The account name or password that you have entered is incorrect. last time ncsoft gave me a reply was nearly 3 hours ago now..... afther they sent me an e-mail stating We are escalating your ticket to a Senior Account Support Representative to further assist you. Someone will contact you as quickly as possible. i dont seem to think 3 hours is a quick time to even get an e-mail to say we are sorting things out please bare with us............. i have paid for my account and even brought the exspansion that is soon to come out...... BUT I HAVENT EVEN HAD THE CHANCE TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME YET.................... i am starting to hate the game even b4 i have played it.......

just need to let of my feelings somewere thanks

Here is shortcut for contacting support. Phone numbers included. Im sure you will eventually get things sorted out. Sounds like you entered something incorrectly one too many times and the lockout/cooldown period is in effect.

If you have played any MMOs before trust me when I say you will love this game as opposed to others. The Devs here really are very open and helpful. I promise good things come to those who wait Hopefully your wait wont be long.

Please understand that everyone understands and empathises with your situation but this is a weekend and I'm pretty sure you'll have to wait until Monday when people come back to work.

I truly hope this gets straightened out for you as quickly as possible.

KK thanks i can enter my account every now and then..... but wen i do i get a crash now wen i try and play my toon..... I have bin playing MMO's for about 6 years...... GW, AO, Eve... but i never had problems with ncsoft b4 thats y i am kinda angry i guess XD..

European City of Heroes? Just checking, but are you opening the correct program and not the US version (that is, if your account is an EU account and not US account)?

In C:\Program Files\City of Heroes (if this is where you installed it), do you see:

cohupdater.eu.exe

?

It's most likely a temporary lockdown to ensure your account hasn't been hacked. This is a typical security measure when an incorrect password is entered too many times in quick succession. Sometimes (but not always) calling in can expedite the unlock if you can validate certain account information; other times, the lockdown time is automatic regardless of validation, but at least the rep can help you reset the password in the meantime so you know what it is once the lockdown's passed.

(Worked more than a couple years in tech support in various companies - we used to get this a LOT.)

Word of warning, though - some places track how many times an account has been locked down; an excessive number indicates the account might have been compromised. So be careful.

Mehh i understand but this is an MMO and i am paying for a service that i am not getting ...... They earn enough money to have people working for account maintance 24/7............ if they dont i think they should start doin so. All the mmo's i have played have had 24/7 account help , so i dont see why ncsoft should have changed..

Glad you got in, and anger is understandable. I'm wondering if oyur crashing because your system has trouble with ultramode. If you can actually login to a character try turning off Ultra Mode and lowering the graphics settings.

I see you were able to get in so it isn't the department I was thinking of that isn't in on weekends. Certain departments have weekends off. That's just the way the company has always been.

Lolz i am using safe mode and it is crashing....... And i have a
AMD Turionx2 ultra 64 3.3ghz
4g ram
1g HD raideon 4570 series graphics card
1tb harddrive

All uptodate drivers and windows updates ........ fully defragged....

Dont get it XD

I'm not a techie myself, but I know my own graphics card needs adjustment to handle UM from time to time. Most of the time it works without a hitch but around large groups of players using their powers I get laggy and rubberbandy.

The tech smart players pay attention to posts up in Technical issues and Bugs. here's the link

Most likely guessing your sure your account details are correct. Have you tried logging into the Master Account in PlayNC site, and confirming the correct password/username.

If you have done this and it is correct, then the only log-in problem I foresee, as it happens a lot, is that you have the NA updater parameter and have not added the EU subscript to the Properties/Parameter.

Might want to take a visit up there, then. It's players, still, but there's a tool or two you'll want to run first (just grab COH Helper, there should be a link to it) and post the info it comes up with. Maybe they can see something that's causing the problem.

RadeonHD 4570?

And Ultra Mode is way out of it's reach. It's relative rendering power is just barely above the RadeonHD 2600 I have: 5440 MTexels versus 4000 MTexels; and it's memory bandwith is just about the same:: 12.8GB/s

Second: unless you are running NT6 and updated with the Catalyst Mobility drivers, no your drivers are NOT up to date.

And yes, the regular AMD installer from game.amd.com will run, but it won't actually install or update a driver.

BTW Crysis is a Direct X game while CoH is a OpenGL game so being able to play one doesn't mean you'll be able to play the other. It could be an error in the driver getting in conflict with the OpenGL API. so you could try to uninstall the driver and reinstall a new version.
