So I made an Elec/Therm Corruptor for PvP...

No advice in the world will help you to PVP, stick to griefing farms.
That is a lot of inf for it to be completely missing or severely lacking stuff that make or break a high end pvp build against good players.
also, that build is horrible.

It's a very expensive build, and it seems to me that you could surely have used more PvPIO sets. I see the Gladiator's Armor sets in there, but it seems like the Devastations and the Numinas could be replaced by PvP sets and you'd be better off in PvP zones.
Do you really need all that -kb?
Has Voltaic Sentinel always allowed Soulbound Allegiance? Cool.
Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
@vanda1 and @nakoa2
A solid build can be built without using PvPIOS.
And yes....41 KB protection is the threshold.
*sigh*

I defer to your greater PvP knowledge.
While a solid PvP build doesn't necessarily need PvPIOs, it seems to me that if you are going to spend as much as this build costs, you might as well get the PvPIOs and do it up right. Just my -albeit not fully informed- opinion.

I'm not sure why you are "sigh"ing.

thermals can be built for alot cheaper than this and still retain all of these features and on top of that have the very useful powers he skipped... cauterize... you dont have to play as a healer to see its use
also, im not sure if he thought it through but elec blast is horrible in zones. elec/therm is basically a dueling build and alot of people wont even fight you because its so gimmicky. if he wanted a zone thermal sonic/ fire/ or even rad/ would have been better.

pvpios will cost you obscene amounts of inf. and most of the time there is no supply even if you did have the money.

As far as cauterize goes, yes I realize its benefits as far as healing teammates, but I probably won't be focusing on healing much. I mainly got the shields to place IOs for the sets bonuses. My main focus will be to sapp those melee toons and being a general PITA.
Wait, he needs to spend 10bil to kill afk pvpers?
O.O

Yeah you used to kill my farm, boohoo for me

Also, any more advice from someone who's afk pvp farm I haven't killed would be appreciated. Thx.
TBH if this on justice sos and 3 or 4 kb ios and you will be fine.
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

Wait what.
Is this the same PvP community that excoriates carebear PvEers for crying when their Shivan/nuke runs get ambushed, complaining about a PvPer griefing their PvPIO farms? Because outsiders collaborating to exploit rewards is bad, but when it's among friends it's OK?
You may wish to explain why this isn't as hypocritical as it looks. Because I am totally bookmarking this thread.

Why MA ratings should be changed from stars to "like" or "dislike"
A better algorithm for ordering MA arcs

I personally think absolutely anything goes in PVP zones, including disrupting other peoples' farms. I've never done it, and it happens to me all the time, (PVPIOs are my chief source of income in game) but I still think it's fine. That said, I'm not going to disrupt someone's PVPIO farm if i'm later going to ask for their help. That would be counter-intuitive.
It's kinda obvious. If you took off your anti-PVP rage goggles you might be able to notice. Now please go back to the badge forum and rage about how much the devs need to decrease healing badges or whatever you PVE kids talk about these days. You know, the important fixes that ACTUALLY GET MADE. Cool badge titles are much much more important than PVP.
Delete your bookmark.
Lol SpittingTrashcan does have a point, I see a few people worked up over this disruption of a farm yet if anyone dared to complain their badge hunt had been disrupted there would be no end of name calling.
Personally I think anything goes in PvP zones so if you want to afk farm there you take the risk, but how come everyone is getting on the OP's back?
British by act of union, English by grace of God, Northern by pure good fortune!

I wasn't really referring to you, but rather everyone on the first page criticising the OP for killing people on a PvP zone.
I am just saying that if all those people were badgers criticising him for stopping their badge hunt rather than their IO farms he would be getting more support I think. And as for asking those he annoyed for help I don't think he came here specifially for their help, unless he has annoyed everyone in this section and as the newbie I just don't know that yet?

It's most funny when you raged in global "I gonna hax his computer and delete his toons" early one morning after I killed your farm. I imagined you woke up that morning after leaving your PC on for 10+ hours and cussed me out to yourself lol
Also, any more advice from someone who's afk pvp farm I haven't killed would be appreciated. Thx. |

People who grief PVP IO farms come part and parcel with the farm and you are among a half dozen or so who do it. That's just part of the job. I do admit I was irked at how rude you were when I asked you politely not to kill my farm after the first time you griefed it. So much for being courteous. After that, I accepted the fact you were an axehat and moved on

The bottom line is, by disrupting IO farms (of the people who frequent the PVP forums) you have lost helpful advice from me and others.Talk about biting the hand that feeds.
GL HF with your corr and have fun getting farmed in RV on that terribad build.

Common sense.
Your silly comparison was shown to be incorrect in my aforementioned post.

Perhaps you should go back to the badging forum too.
awhile back and never got around to IOing it out. I have come up with a build that I will primarily be using in Freedom RV. I focused on getting my HP capped, 41 pts of kb protection, and some extra damage out of set bonuses and procs for the weak output of Elec/. I know this build would cost alot, but I'm not worried about the infamy. Any ideas on how I could improve my build?
