1st Bank of paragon
Since we have to pay for a market transaction fee, and now we can in a way wire transfer to ourselves or freinds cross server, or ship things, we also have a vault to store some stuff. As well has paying rent/mortgage for sg bases
Maybe its time the Bank of Paragon city is created. In this bank you can have MULTIPLE accounts that go to the cap of two billion(as i understand there is a computer programers reason why its got to be at 2 bill) How ever in this "bank" we will be able to earn interest on our influ say once a month a certain percent say .01-.06.(fractions of a single influ are wiped) Also we could rent with influ a safty deposit box to store recipies. To pay for safty deposit is a by toon basis not account this is to wipe out the new interest influence thats in theory created. Also if your Bank account goes inactive your depost is charged a fee and/or put into a non interest bearing C.O.D.(certificate of deposit)to avoid people like me making so much interest on 10 bill or more even any ideas? thanks for listening |

This game really needs less inf floating around, not more. I say this is a bad idea.

edit: wait, is this supposed to be a player-run bank? I guess I wrongly assumed that. If this is a game-run bank then nevermind, hah.
Having interest earned on money 'in the bank', would most certainly add inf to the system.
So I agree with firespray

Maybe even charge for the holding of money and recipies. Perhaps as a influ sink even.
Maybe one of us could write a program to funnel all of those fractions of influence into a separate bank account. Y'know, just like they did in Superman 3.
This wouldn't create any influence. The only way to add influence involves defeating enemies; everything else moves or reduces it. edit: wait, is this supposed to be a player-run bank? I guess I wrongly assumed that. If this is a game-run bank then nevermind, hah. |
Bad idea. Outside of the interest portion, the options already exist to an extent, and this would mostly remove the -perhaps unintended- uses of market slots to hold excess inf. and base storage for actual goods. Improving the vaults that currently exist would be a better direction than a separate system.
Now, if someone wants to have a player-run bank (which I've seen in other games), it'd be interesting, at least.
I agree this is a good idea, without the interest. They could just expand the functionality of the vault we already have. Make it hold Items, Inf, Enhancements.
Then give it acount wide accessability.
Now that we can email inf/items to ourselves, there isn't really any argument against this anymore.

As the devs adamantly oppose a market merger, they're stuck with half-measure solutions- reducing or eliminating storage for a wide range of marketable items would increase market supply.
Just a guess on my part, but it seems much more likely than their taking any steps to increase storage.

@Boltcutter in game.
hoarding impacts liquidity and liquidity is a major part of the BM's issues.

Isn't being able to email yourself items basically unlimited storage (or at least near it)?
|
Even if so, it doesn't necessarily mean carte blanche.
You can mail yourself stuff in WoW, but it costs inf and it has an expiration date- pick it up within 30 days (I think, it's been a while) or it goes bye bye. So you can 'renew' it, but it costs and the amount is not trivial.
If the devs want us to be able to mail items without opening the door to unlimited hoarding there are various approaches they could take, that's just one of them.

have we gotten confirmation that they'll let us email items as well as inf?

But you can make mules on 'unplayed servers' if you wish, to accept and hold inf and items
The storage with effort is going to be functionally unlimited, but I doubt few will go to the lengths to have it as such as a practicality.
At the very least 12 characters, each with 10 crafted IOs on a single unused server. Plus their recipe and salvage, plus their market slots

If it's per character I'm not sure why they bothered with a limit at all.

Another reason i think its time is QoL. Im getting tierd of juggling and half mesure to keep all my plates in the air.
I really want and i think its a good idea that i dont have to bid on non existant lvl 53 ios to store influ all over my account and that i will have to still be doing this ingame email stuff.
I think the ingame email is a great idea since we dont have a bank per se. But in the end even though i appreciate it i think its a half mesure thats just easier to do then a bank on the programming side.
Which i can understand id rather have content then a bank but ....
You can 'hold' 20 E-mails in your inbox, each with 1 billion inf or an item (Or is it and an item)
Once you claim stuffs, delete the E-mail and send more
