If so that means that we're raising the level cap, so to speak, without actually going beyond 50.
To the level that I understand it:

To access Going Rogue content you do not HAVE to make a new character. Existing characters can access Going Rogue content, including the new Incarnate content. Heroes can use Rogue content to transition to Villain content. Villains can use Rogue content to transition to Hero content.

You can role new characters as heroes, villains, or rogue (as in starting in Praetoria.) At level 20, rogue characters must chose to interact on either Hero side or Villain side. All characters have the option to switch sides, though this will require going to some content.

The details of Incarnate system remain scarce. As I understand it, there will not be an increase in the level cap. The incarnate system will be independent of character level. How the two will interact has yet to be revealed.

From their phrasing, it sounds like any character will be able to do this. However, it won't be like levels 51-60. It'll be more like you are level 50 + however many incarnate levels you have.

Castle did post somewhere else in the past month or so that there would be some hard choices involved with the incarnate system. I don't know if that means you would have to be entirely hero or villain (as opposed to being a vigilante or a rogue), if those incarnate levels would take a lot of time to do, or what.

So most of that was speculation... we just don't know much at this point. We'll probably have a clearer picture once Going Rogue goes to Open Beta, more once we play through the first incarnate level with GR, but it probably won't be 100% revealed until we know everything about I19.

Guide: Tanking, Wall of Fire Style (Updated for I19!), and the Four Rules of Tanking
Story Arc:
Belated Justice, #88003
Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.
Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory

I really hope I'm wrong on this one, but what really terrifies me is the notion of new powers with out additional enhancement slots.

Eh, who knows. I know universal enhancement slots have been bandied about as well. It does sound like a lot of thought and effort has been put into it, so I'm going to guess it will be varied, offer a fair amount of choice, and be difficult. Which sounds great to me.

Still, offering powers without enhancement slots seems a weird idea to me, given how much they've worked on it. Anyway, I hope you're not right.

Well, Positron couldn't say much about the system, but I'm pretty sure if you're getting new powers in the Incarnate system then there will be a way to slot them up. It would be illogical to assume otherwise... unless Incarnate powers are so mind-blowingly awesome out of the box that they required no enhancement. But I highly doubt that.

I have no idea how this will play out, but there are ATs in this game that have 'extra powers' with out additional slots to put in them. That would make for 'tough choices.'

Again, I'm just posting hypothetically.

I spoke with Posi at the Meet and Greet about 1 to 50 content in Praetoria, and it sounds like it won't happen sooner than I20, and probably not then, either. For now, the four zones we have are the 1-20 content. Except for the first level of Incarnate content in GR, I don't expect there to be any 20-50 content in Praetoria.

I felt bad for him... he was surrounded by a crowd who just kept firing questions at him. Of course, that didn't keep me from asking my own questions, but still.

Oh, and I won the ATI 4650 HD Video card in the raffle!

Aww.

While I'm still looking forward to the Incarnate system, I was hoping it would be a bit more complete for Going Rogue. I had a sneaking suspicion it might not be due to the timing of when we heard Posi had moved on from Lead Designer, but I was still crossing my fingers.

Now I can't wait for more information about Incarnates, from GR or I19.

I feel like I'm the last person who can't wait for i17. I mean, I want the things that are coming just like everyone else, but i17 could be the last update of all time and I would die happy.

I thought I heard Voo say he doesn't use enhancements...this all makes sense now!

I'm keen on I17 too, Ryxx. I'd love a few more story arcs to play through, and the ability to send influence and recipe between my characters better. I keep wanting to do that now, and have to remind myself that I can't yet, heh.

That change will make it a lot easier for Grey Pilgrim to get his crafting badge. Now my characters can send him influence and recipes, and he'll craft it for him. He was able to do some of that before, but it was trickier when Grey Pilgrim doesn't have much cash from time to time.
