You heard it here first folks! Paragon Studios is officially working on City of Heroes 2!
You're missing that Vince “Dark Watcher” D’Amelio is also now working on 'a variety of initiatives' within Paragon Studios.

Paragon Studios are working on another MMO (or: another way to generate revenue, but I'm pretty certain that is a new MMO), no doubt.

I'd wondered if Morse had officially been given the Paragon Studios Lead Concept Artist position that is working on Paragon Studio's next MMO, but it is still there, so maybe he has moved to Art Lead on that project in a separate position.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the last story time we saw him was in Top Cow Issue 17, and he was technically a hero then.
Must...resist...temptation...to talk about Malaise!

*Whew* That was a close one!

Well first off, congratulationse to David. I had the pleasure of watching him do a couple of those sketches at the last hero con, my girlfriend and I were very impressed at how quickly he drew those amazing pictures. He's obviously a man of great talent and a very nice guy too, so good job David and congratulations!

Secondly, I'm glad that Ken Morse is still around. I've met him at both hero cons now, and he's been incredibly nice in answering questions in the panels and in the halls, which has been rather enlightening. Another incredibly nice guy. Hopefully I'll get to pick his brain again this year for herocon.

Good job guys and keep up the good work! (Okay it's incredibly self serving to say that in some ways, but I mean it in the non self-serving way too.)

Actually, as a former comic book creator, I can tell you that villains pretty much MAKE the hero and, when you get right down to it, they're more important than the hero themselves in the overall structure of any good superhero story. What would Captain America be without the Red Skull, or Superman with Luthor, after all?

So rest assured--I love me some villains.

But if I ever change my red name to an actual character, I think I'd like something a little more...I dunno, awe-inspiring than 'Malaise.' Love the character and the art connection but honestly, malaise is defined as 'a general feeling of being unwell.' So really, at that point, I may as well go with 'Captain Sickday' or 'Barfy McBarfbarf.'

Pretty much the same effect.

Don't mind if I do!

...But you'll have to wait for one more week, because that's when PAX EAST rolls around. Lots of details and announcements to follow, so stay tuned.

A week? I might allow that as a short delay - but not any longer than that

You could always adopt the sobriquet "The Painter":

Quote:
Famous painting missing
The Painter was a famous supervillain who could paint a location and then use the painting to teleport there. Someone stole his painting of a building in Paragon City called Lee Towers. You've no idea why, but the heist has the (VillainGroup)'s fingerprints all over it.
Quote:
The Painter found murdered!
The Painter is a magical thief who paints scenes --say of like a bank-- and then somehow uses it to actually teleport to that location. He was found dead last night, and the MO suggests that the (VillainGroup) is responsible. Maybe they think they can backwards engineer the Painter's secrets with one of his paintings. Maybe you can too.
(Not that we want you to turn up murdered, of course.)

That can be arranged.

Well, you could go for something like Barfy McBarfbarf . . . .

Be BIG McLARGE HUGE

He's from one of Televisions arcs and is described as:
Quote:
Big McLargehuge was a popular star in the late 1960s through the 1970s. While he never landed a starring in a major motion picture, he did play the leading man in a large number of B-movies, cementing his role as a cult movie star. His career took a downturn in the 1980s when his outspoken political views effectively saw him blacklisted for much of the decade, and his declining health made it difficult to do long shoots. His career has recently rebounded on television, where he's re-invented himself as a capable character actor with roles in several popular shows.
Also: Congratulations! Your art proves you have great talent and your posts and appearances at events show you have great affection for this game and its players. Good luck in your new post and make us lots of pretty pictures to look at!

Something has to fill the void left when Positron's massively multi-sponge car wash project failed to meet revenue expectations.
