I guess you never took a hint from names like "Embalmed Cadaver" or anything... no, they couldn't possibly be undead

I'm curious to see how the ghouls spawn and are aggro'd "It's only when the shadows are deep and the tunnels are quiet that you should worry" makes me think they crawl up out of the ground and attack when you hit certain 'trigger points' or something and "killing one of them just makes the others angrier" makes me think once you start killing them it makes more of them spawn... something like the Zombie Apocalypse mechanic but with dedicated, always on area(s) and to a lesser scale possibly. It would be interesting if they had something like Vengeance too, but perhaps a heartier +Dmg or some other buff in place of the +Def... I don't think the +Def from vengeance would really fit with a ghoul theme.

It's fully likely that Praetorian Dr. V is working *for* Tyrant. Tyrant gives him access to dead bodies, likely people who have stood against him, and sicks him upon the sewer system where he knows the resistance is gathered. It's a win/win for everyone, really.

Assuming he's behind any of that at all, of course. It could be something we've never even heard about, but the giant red collars point to a 'tech' based aspect, and Dr. V is the most obvious person to have scientifically created undeath.
That's exactlly what I'm thinking. I bet Dr. V is a loyalist (possibly even in the Praetorian Guard) and he makes Ghouls out of captured Resistance members, those who "volunteered" for overseas operations, and those who failed the test to get onto the PPD.

I guess the reason I don't want the Ghouls connected to Dr. Vahz or the BP is because I'd like some of the groups we encounter to be unique to Pratoria and not different versions of existing groups.

Calvin Scott and the Ghouls. Which one of them is the real monster?
Which is a monster? Hmm...somehow I'm thinking the Ghouls....

Calvin Scott, leader of the Resistance...
Well, Tyrant won't like him, but apparently the Resistance follow him...so...at least someone is on his side...

Legends speak of creatures that hunt under the very ground of Praetoria. They may have been human once, but now they're ruthless predators. These monsters hunt everyone, Resistance, Loyalist, Hero or Villain. They have no fear or friends, just their insatiable appetite for flesh.
Okay. First off, these Legends aren't that old based on the rest of the bio. I figure that the Sewer Alligators have a longer legacy than these guys.
Monsters? Hmm... No friends .... "These monsters hunt everyone" ... and "insatiable appetite for flesh"....

Somehow I think these guys are the monsters between the two, but I might be confused.

Good and evil are very different points of view in Praetoria.
Some how this is different from the rest of the game in general?

Oh, I see it is different because the Terrorist (Resistance) are "good" guys (or are they supposed to be the bad guys?) and the Flesh-eating Horde that doesn't have any friends is the "bad" guys (or are they supposed to be the good guys some how? are they secretly misunderstood purifiers of the world?)

I think will have to run some of the new content to find out!?

I guess some will be biting their nails in anticipation over the release ... oh, I see how the Ghouls are supposed to be the good guys now...I guess?

Seriously though, it seems that it is supposed to be a bit veiled but in no ways appears to be.

I am interested in how the alignment system (tracking, earning, etc) works and how many slots we will be getting and how getting the Expansion may effect this versus getting Complete (or is it the same? no one seems to know or want to tell? why? at least say why you won't say)

I'm talking about the Ghouls, who's to say that they are
a: THe Praetorian version of anthing we have, and not their own thing
B: Undead. Instead of mutated, enhanced, or otherwise alive but unnatural.

SPOILER

and the Vhaz technically are'nt undead anyway.
