Hey NCSoft...
Is this for real?
If so this is for your serious game junkie.
Erm maybe because the current payment system is fine. if its an issue of not having the cash. just get someone to pay it for you and you pay them back. thats what i do when ever i want a booster pack etc and dont have the cash at the specific moment.

Not only that, but it would prove that NCSoft has committed to assertively integrate high-quality infrastructures to exceed customer expectations, thus demonstrating to the jaded gaming demographic that it does indeed properly leverage it's existing framework to stay competitive in tomorrows world.
It's a Win-Win.

Oh wait, you probably weren't alive around that time...
In the Arena of Logic, I fight unarmed.
Actually despite the rather silly name it does make a certain amount of sense. It's basically an online credit card system for people who don't have credit cards.
While PayPal is a decent system for online payments it does pretty much require you to either have a credit card or link your account to an online bank account. This allows you to pay for online goods with cash by going to a 7-Eleven handing over the cash and getting ti credited to your account. The debit side definitely seems solid, no clue how well the credit side would work out. It's basically a pre-approved credit card anyone can get so there is a potential risk there. Assuming Kwedit is honoring the payments made with it then the business model sounds reasonable but whether they can actually make a profit is questionable.
It's not something I'd use but I think for people without credit cards (including teens) this is potentially a very useful service.
Also I lol'd at the marketing speak in LiquidX's second post.
Dude, did you see the list of games that accept Kwedit?
Check the list down near the bottom.
I must admit, this would help those players who've wanted to get those bonus packs (or whatever they're called!) but haven't been able to, because they don't have or refuse to have (or link) a credit card.
Weren't there a few players here who'd complained about that before? I vaguely recall that happening when the Wedding Pack was introduced. There were several people who would pay for their game using time cards and they were a bit miffed that they would need a CC to pay for those things.

I had a CC before and like most people my age, i went straight to the limit on it. Took me an age to clear it off and now i've ripped it up and i'll never ever have one again. Purely because i know i'ld be too tempted to spend money which i didnt have.
Thats my reasons for not having one anymore anyway
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
Didn't the Great Depression teach anything to you?

Anyway I reasonably sure he's (guessing...?) not being serious since Stephen Colbert just did a bit about this terrifying company last night. So much for a new era of personal responsibility.

Oh I'm afraid you're about a century too late for the whole "personal responsbility" argument. Usury used to be so frowned against that the punishments if you were found guilty of it were sometimes rather severe. The way people used to buy the big things (like a house or... well, cars didn't exist back then!) was to save up for it first, and then pay for it. Now, we get a loan from a bank or a credit union or somewhere else. We buy now and then pay later! And later. And later. And later...

Well, you did see the explaination of that feature on their site, yes? The person to whom the "duck" is "passed" can choose to refuse. Or they can opt to pay only a partial amount. I believe the intent here was that a kid would have his or her parents pay it, and they'd pay their parents back... with money or chores or whatever.
I kind of think the idea here was that kids would have to learn how to make some extra money to pay for things like this on their own. But since they'd probably get paid in cash and they probably don't have a checking account, using something like Kwedit would actually be pretty convenient.
Kwedit, its a cute way of saying 'teaching children how to spend money they dont have'
/jumps off soaphorse real kwick.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
But... spending money you don't have on things you don't need is the American way!!!
How else would you explain the existence of Hummers?
We all must defend that, if we are true super heroes. Well, true American super heroes.

...Oh. OH! You meant the VEHICLE.
Nevermind.
See, this is the problem. You need to get out of that '60's hippie mentality and get with the TIMES, man! You need to get with the next generation and think outside the box, while actualizing your potential to succeed with a brand new paradigm shift. By moving to a "get stuff now, pay later" scheme, NCSoft can fullfill it's responsibility to continually provide access to low-risk high-yield benefits and collaboratively administrate economically sound materials while promoting personal employee growth.

When are you guys going to start accepting Kwedit? Because I'd be more then happy to pay you tuesday for some gameplay today.
